minismad77 Posted June 11, 2011 Share Posted June 11, 2011 I'm Gary, all the way from Bonnie Dundee! I'm new to this forum malarky! I'm planning on posting the minis I've customised in the last year. Feel free to comment & whatever, but try not to be too critical! Like I said, this is new to me so be nice or show me something better! Generally, I try to do DC minimates, as each time I've done a Marvel character, they come out officially. I don't have the know-how or technical means to got down the digital printout route, so I have to get the figures closest to the look I'm after then add a little bit of work. They're not perfect, but I don't finish one until I'm happy with it & most of the customs I've done have had multiple revisions. (It's where all the cool people display their stuff. :tongue:) 2nd, I guess you somehow clicked on "add reply" during posting which would explain the strange posts in your post. And now for the customs. See, I'm not a DC guy and most of the time not familiar with those customs. But I usually look them up. So I was pretty interested in Rip Hunter and this is the only good image I found with the costume you designed. Anyway, I really like what you came up with. Where does the shoulder pads come from? And I really like the Red Thor. Good part selection and cool features! And I noticed that a few of your pics a blurry which is a pity. As long as my rubbish photography doesn't detract from the minis. That was the reference I had for Rip, from the DC Encyclopedia. In continuity now he's a normal guy, but back in the 90's Dan Jurgens designed the Linear Men as time travellers, ravaged by multiple journeys through time, hence cyborg parts.
