Udon Studios updated the Taskmasters costume for Marvel in like 2002 for a mini-series, then after that they switched back to using his classic look. Heres a pic of the Udon version:

Theres tons of Marvel Legends customs of this version, I was just wondering if anybody has made a minimate of this version, or if you had any suggestions on what parts to use. I'm thinking:

Nina Myers End of Day 2 Minimate has a nice gray blue colored uniform that would work pretty well for him.

http://www.minimatedatabase.com/figure.php...mp;n=Nina+Myers

Head - Black head w/ custom decal

Hood - Secret Wars Dr. Doom repaint

Chest - Nina Myers End of Day 2 (striped of factory paint ons) - w/ custom decal

Arms & Legs - Nina Myers End of Day 2

Crotch - Nina Myers End of Day 2

Hands and Feet - Plain White

Repaint a tactical looking belt so it has some white in it

Add some custom white armor pads for arms and legs, and straps for his chest, sculpt something.

Also what paints do you guys recommend using?

Thanks for looking, I'll post a pic when I've made mine

I know someone made a brilliant version of him back when i joined the 'verse.

I remember he won a contest with it.

But the only thing i don't remember who it was.

I do remember he was one of the 'verse veterans like Luke314pi

So I started making my own custom of the Udon Studios version of Taskmaster. Its not finished yet just waiting on some paints to arrive and some gun holsters, but heres what I have so far:

The base figure that I used was a 24 Nina Myers End of Day 2 Minimate. The color of the prisoner jumpsuit seemed to be a good match.

The hood for Taskmaster is different than the hood of Hobgoblin and I did not want to use a Hobgoblin for a custom so I sculpted a hood out Sculpy, mixing white, blue and black to get the right shade of the jumpsuit. Then I boiled it and clear coated it.

The head and chest are waterslide decals that I made in Photoshop.

The Gunholster strap/ sword strap was made by using the Capt. America shield backstrap that comes on the newer captain america minimates with the peg sliced off. The other part was from movie deadpools katana backstrap. I cut off one of the Katana shealths and used ShapeLock to attach it to the back of the Capt. America piece. Then I cut a piece of the deadpool strap off to attach it to the front of the Capt. America piece going across the chest horizontally. Then I painted part of it white and another part black.

The boots are Max Pilot boots repainted flat white with a clear coat

The belt is from domino

The shield that he uses is an energy shield created by a wrist device that makes solid energy shapes... he stole it from SHIELD. Reference: http://www.comicvine.com/taskmaster/29-457...ter/105-300127/

to make this I took a Sue Storm (TRU 8) clear shield piece and dyed the shield and armband in RIT yellow dye which permanently dyes the plastic the chosen color, works great!

The SHIELD Wrist device is a few different parts glued and mixed together:

Evil Ryu red wrist piece that goes onto his hand

Dr. Doom Secret Wars - Square leg piece

Moon Knight sculpted hand - cut into different sections with an xacto knife

- the ryu piece is the base with the doom square piece on top of it and the moon knight cylinder bracelet piece at the back to make it longer

I also super glued on the yellow peg to be able to mount the shield to the device

The other arm is two of the moon knight pieces already described on a brown forearm painted white at the elbow

That hand has a piece of plastic superglued on to make it look like the body armor he has, also the shoulders each have a small piece glued onto them as well.

I cut the hilt off of the Katana from movie deadpool to make it look sleeker too.

I'll post more pics when its done. Let me know what you think, thanks for looking!

I like it. I really like the sheild may have to whip up a couple of those for my AIM army

Thanks everyone

Yeah the RIT Dye works very well: http://www.ritdye.com/

Just one suggestion I found while using it, try to keep the water+dye solution warm while the plastic is in it. I put mine in a small plastic cup and put that inside a pot of hot water and left it on for like an hour or two

Also sorry about the pics I'll try to take better ones when it's finished.

Very cool. I planned on making Taskmaster in that costume, but all I ever finished was his head :( I would love to see an official version of Taskmaster in that outfit.

Thanks and yeah me too, maybe we might get one out of the new Marvel Vs Capcom 3 license. Capcom would have to make another downloadable content pack of alternate costumes, that includes the UDON version of Taskmaster, not just the classic model in udon color scheme.
