minijeff
What do you use to seal your customs? I've got a bunch I need to seal and want to know what works best for leaving them still playable. Any help on the best way to use sealer would be good too. Thanks Jeff of the Minis
luke314pi
I use Testor's Dull Coat, and it works great except it will make permanent marker bleed (permanent my ass). So if you are using a sharpie or anything, use it after putting the sealant coat on. I buy it at my hobby shop, and usually only need two coats. Jatta Pake
I use stuff called Lacquer Dull Coat that comes in a spray can at my hobby shop. It's the same as the Testor's Dull Coat.
minijeff
Thanks for the tips so far! Is there any sealers out there that won't cause marker to run? Jeff of the Minis
Vash
i dont use markers but.. id suggest using very light coats of the dull coat that should give you a no run finish
Jatta Pake
On a side note: When I first started making customs, I sealed my customs with the Citadel 'Ard Coat. The seal was absolutely impervious to any paint chipping. The Minimate plastic would chip before the paint would! I stopped using it because it was just too glossy for my tastes. Plus, applying the sealer with a brush could cause the paint to smear on occassion. Spray sealant is the way to go.
