BSGDude's Customs

Recommended Posts

First up we have a group shot of my three customs. From Left to right: Doctor Cottle from Battlestar Galactica, Ultimate Sharon Carter, and "Lost In Space" Apollo from Battlestar Galactica.

We'll start with Cottle.

I basically used TBT!s design here. Bruce Banner Lab Coat, Assault Punisher Face, Dr. Fate's Hair, and Dualla Legs, Crotch, and Feet.

But I went and used Dualla's chest piece and painted over the black skin piece (As you can tell I couldn't find the right paint to match the face and hands :() I used the exclusive Starbuck cigar sense he's always smoking in the show. I went ahead and gave him Dualla's clip board sense it seemed fitting. So not really MY custom, but I thought I'd add it sense I'm proud of it. (Side Note: I painted the eyebrows on the face white, I thought they came out good)

And a BIG HUGE thanks to TBT for giving me the idea of making this custom.

Next we have "Lost In Space" Apollo. I call him that because in one episode of BSG he gets shot down and is stranded waiting to be picked up. I painted his hand's black to go with the flight suit and added a plastic to the inside of the helmet to give it a visor look. (I don't think you can tell much difference with the pic but when you're holding it you can)

I might redo Apollo and add Sculpey to the helmet to make an actual visor.

And now for my pride and joy Ultimate Agent Sharon Carter.

I really enjoyed her in Ultimate Spider-Man (even if she only appeard a few times). I went with the M.I.B. look and red hair, even though in the newer comics she has blonde hair.

I think this is my real first custom, because well, I had to really do stuff to her.

I used the Assualt Punisher coat, Arms and Hands (Which I painted black), Bruce Banner Chest Piece, and a pair of legs I painted black. Then I used Spider-Woman's hair which I painted red.

Now here was the tricky part. Making Spider-Woman's hair fit onto the head. The back edge of the coat was to big so I had to cut some of it away for the hair to fit onto the head.

And lastly I painted her face. I think I did a pretty good job on the sun glasses and the lips. No where near the detail of other people's work, but I'm happy with what I accomplished.

Over all I'm glad with how the other two turned out, but I'm extremely happy with how Sharon came out.

My try at repainting an entire figure. As you can see I need some work. But I'm "kinda" happy with how it turned out. It's suppose to be Ultimate Deadpool (I went with him because he had a pretty basic colored suit, just red and black).

Need to find a way to make straight lines while painting. But, there he is. Lol.

Used the hair-piece on my Sharon Carter figure. So I went with a look that had her hair gone and some of her skull showing. For the eyes I tried to go with the look that the Zombie Spider-Man figure is going with.

Apollo looks awesome with the visor. What kind of plastic did you use? It's got to be pretty thin to fit in there doesn't it?

Deadpool, Carter & Spiderwoman look great too. You're off to a good start. Keep it up.

It's not really a plastic. It's actually called Opel. It's a material you place over a light to dim the light and make it "softer". It's used in movie/tv production.

And yeah it's really thin, lol. Just one piece wasn't enough so I had to cut a piece long enough I could wrap around Apollo's head several times. Fitting it into the helmet was pretty tricky. As you can see from the picture the helmet pushed some of the Opel down over his face, making it stick out at his neck. No matter how short it was, it always did it. So I just chalked that up to being the little thing they wrap around their necks in BSG before they put their helmets on, lol.

And I'm going to be making alot more Marvel Zombies!

I only did his face sense in the comic that's the only part of Tony you see really zomiefied (until he gets his legs blown off that is).

Was pretty fun cutting the mask out and glueing it onto the top of the helmet.

Note: I realized after I took these I was missing Mr. Ben Riley. I added another coat of paint to his hair piece recently. I've got some more minimates on the way who will join the undead once I get them and make them I'll take another group shot and include all of the undead horde!
