Does anyone have suggestions for a good DVD ripper that will rip to mp4 so I can drop into itunes? I have a pc no Mac Oh yeah, and I'll definitely be ripping Girl Next Door! funkguerilla
I've been using a program called handbrake for a few years and it's totally great! In fact, it even has a preset for things like ipads and ipods. Totally easy, totally recommended. Check it out here.
minimadman
you could jailbreak your ipad and get vnd player out of installous. that way you can use avi files

UK Collector
Hi guys/gals Sorry for the thread necro, but seemed better than starting a new one. I recently got an iPad, and I want to be able to rip my DVDs to make them mp4 and then put them in my iTunes. I used to use Handbrake, but it doesn't seem to let me convert my DVDs anymore. A quick google suggests there may have been a change in the program so that you can no longer rip official DVDs, only 'home movies'. Can anyone recommend a good converter, preferably one with iPad settings available. Thanks!
TM2 Dinobot
I use Magic DVD Ripper. It's not the most intuitive, but it's easy and free and gets the job done.
UK Collector
Thanks TM2. Have downloaded it and will let you know how I get on.

UK Collector
Argh. My free trial for magic DVD ripper has expired. Any other ideas guys? It does nark me slightly that I cannot put MY DVDs onto MY iTunes, but I can upload all of the CDs I want.
