So I am going to Megacon again this year. Will anyone else from the board be making the trip? I have been every year for the past three years and always find tons of good deals on minimates. Last year one booth had them for $3-$5 a 2 pack and buy 2 get 1 free. I got 6 for $16 including the Vision variant if memory serves. If you are in the area you should check it out. And maybe we could meet up and have an overpriced lunch.

I hate to be the cold water here but you kind folks are dreaming. DC mates are dead. They will probably stay dead forever. I wish they would come back but they won't.

Has anyone else been looking back at the protos and the concept art for these?? I've been doing jus tthat, and noticed lots of proposed paint apps missing, especially on Jeanie, which would have made them look so much better. For instance, there is a lack of Jeanie's back-line, the belt's shine, the arms' shine, as well as the back of the legs' shine. Kinda makes me mad, because these would have been nice apps to use.

And Mystery Man, just give me a few minutes and you'll have a pic. A clear, non-blurry one.

Two Face I like that you don't mind taking pictures but have you checked you camera for a macro function? I will help cut out all the blurry pictures. On most digital cameras the macro function icon looks like this.

Here's my collection:

Stored in a big cloth lined basket. Tried having the seperated and sorted in drawers. Tried having them all together and lined up. meh. Make them easier to play with.

How do you make heads or tails of that? It has the appearance of a box of fodder.

I have been rereading the Kenzie/Gennaro series by Dennis Lehane and they are just as good as the first time I read them. If you like mysteries I would definately give them a read. The order or them is:

Monster Island, Monster Nation, Monster Planet. Those are the titles of some good Zombie fiction, a trilogy no less. David Wellington was the author.

Dead Sea. A must buy if you ever think about zombies. Brian Keene i beleive.

I think World War Z is the Greatest Zombie book ever. Even if you have read the book listen to the audiobook. It is the only one I have listened to that has a full cast!! Including Mark Hamill, Henry Rollins, Alan Alda. It is awesome.

Me too. Why do we continue to pour salt in our OWN wound with threads like these? Did I want more DC mates? Hell Yes!! Would I have bought multiple sets of Batman Begins and Dark Knight mates? Hell Yes!! Would I like Watchmen movie mates? Hell Yes!! Why must we continue to remind ourselves of things that we could have had, but never will. Could a mod please bury this entire wing of the Multiverse somewhere where until DC mates are again a reality i.e. never. Sorry that I come off as a little bitter but pining over what could have been is just torture.
