  1. Sweet! Thanks for the tip - even once I evict the Trek and BSG mates I'll need a new case soon.
  2. You are correct, they are factory-finished, non produced figures. The display cases are for 1/64 scale cars, and I usually get my cases from: http://www.crystalcaseworks.com/acrylic_ca...play_cases.html
  3. The Hot Wheels cases work great when turned sideways!
  4. I just posted 'em on eBay, here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:IT&ih=017
  5. If you have any 5 Below stores near you, check 'em out. They should have piles of the GI Joe thing, and the modding required very little effort.
  6. Made from a slightly modified GI Joe Sigma Six vehicle, now my SHIELD army can kick some serious butt!
  7. Are these West Coast this week and East Coast next?
  8. Howdy! The plain is simply a re-painted G.I. Joe Sigma Six Firebat, and the pilot is a BSG Helo Head w/ a re-painted helmet on a Nick Fury body.
  9. That reply seems pointedly vague to me - DST didn't say "Yes, we'll still be making minimates". I think that with the announcement of no more resin, DST would be jumping all-over the promotion of whatever Marvel items they still could produce. Just my 2 cents.
  10. Ummm....maybe because the color is different AND it has a different tampo on it? What a wonderful; idea you had - no wonder you think DST has good customer service.Use your "power" Reideen and delete my account and access to your site. Continue to be a shill for a shit company. Then just die.
  11. And there is Reideen, swinging from the balls of DST. When your White Queen broke, was it a variant? Noooo, read a little closer next time asshat. If I was the only one complaining about these issues, your oh-so witty comments would be fine. Since I'm not, shut your pie hole and move along.
  12. I just noticed that DST still has these sets for sale in their store - yet they claim they can't ship replacements becuase they're sold out. Bunch of crap, just like the company.
  13. UPDATE - AFX got back to me to let me know that the manufacturer (DST) advised them that they are sold-out of the zombies set, and therefore can't provide any replacements. So once again DST screws the end consumer. My minimates collection will be going up on eBay next week.
  14. I realize the Variant Sentry is in fact a variant, and that make the figure hard to come by. My problem is that I emailed DST about the issue, told them exactly which figure it was, and was told by them to send it back for a replacement. Cost of 2-pack: $9.00 Cost to ship 2-pack to DST: $4.05 Getting screwed over by them because now I'm out $13.05 and am missing Ronin and my broken Sentry: Priceless. Baltimore Comic-con was last weekend, and since it's literally 15 minutes from their office I can't see them needing that much time to set up for it. The only show that cleans the DST office out of "useful" people is San Diego. Face it, they, like their parent company Diamond Comics, enjoy screwing their customers.
  15. I've been collecting Minimates since the first marvel ones came out, and it only seems like recently quality has been an issue. When I got my Avengers wave, my variant Sentry snapped off at the left knee almost immediately after it was removed from the package. I emailed DST support, and was informed to return the broken one for a replacement. I sent the whole thing back - package, broken variant Sentry and Ronin. I never received a replacement and all the subsequent emails I've sent to DST have gone un-answered. Last week I received my Marvel Zombies 5 pack. Nothing was broken - but Wolverine was missing his left arm entirely! I ordered it from AFX, so I sent them an email informing them of the situation. I received a prompt reply telling me that they will send me a replacement in 2-3 weeks. I'm not sure I believe it, but I'll wait the three weeks to see. Today I got DC series 5, and Red Tornado's knee breaks just like Sentry! WTF? I know many people are having these problems, but I think I'm done with Minimates due to all this garbage. And on top of it, there's no contact info on the DC mates packaging! Done ranting, thanks for reading!
  16. Dante X - I'm in Baltimore, and I have a few Tuesday Morning stores near me. I've already picked up 3 of the Aliens playsets for future projects. All together I think it took about 40 hours to build it, but I've had the parts and the idea for about 3 years now. Thanks for all the kind words!
  17. If I thought it would survive shipping I'd sell it. For those of you wanting a diorama to display your 'mates on, if you have a Tuesday Morning store close by you may want to look for this there: It's only 5 bucks and in perfect scale!
  18. A bunch of the stuff came from Mega Bloks Hulk and Spider-Man sets. The stairs and walkway were hand-crafted from odds and ends. All the lighting came out of video game controllers. The ladder was from Stikfas sets, and the barrels were from a Tamiya accessory kit. No Warhammer 40K were harmed in the construction of this diorama. And Halo blows chunks - long live Goldeneye!
  19. Been working on this for a while, I think it's finaly done. Beware - lots of pics in this, may take a bit for them all to show.
  20. I heard that all the SciFi booth had was Cylons - nothing new or exclusive.
  21. The knee on my VARIANT Sentry broke 20 seconds out of the box. I emailed DST customer support explaining the issue, and was told to send the figure back to them (at my expense) to get a replacement, which I did that same week. Four months later, no replacement figure, and emails go unanswered. DST sucks butt.
  22. I don't think the 4 are Cylons. All 4 of them were present on the cylon-occupied New Caprica, so I think it's Cylon brainwashing that's causing them to hear the music. Plus, why would Bob Dillon be the supreme Cylon leader?
  23. I'm willing to trade mine for a Blue Icons Beast, the Marvel legends Punisher vs. Jigsaw variant 2 pack and any one random other toy of your choice. Seriously.
  24. Whomever Joe Schmoe was, he wasn't the one who posted the images. I have both the inky blue and the grey blue figures. Anybody else have a grey blue?
