This really sums it up for me, as well. Old school. Make that 3 of us! The more sets we get like this the better imo. Three or more... I believe sets like this and alpha flight should continue to be made. What's a worthy and/or mighty again?

Good god... that Nul and Kurth set will be the biggest pegwarmer since Thor/Lady Loki. The box-sets were duds... why do we need booster packs?

While I applaud AFX for supporting minimates and allowing for a lot of the exclusives, said exclusives wouldn't be possible without the support of the OTHER retailers. If BBTS, SciFiGenre, Luke's, etc. didn't pick up a wholesale supply of these from them, they wouldn't be able to carry enough sales by themselves to continue with the exclusives. So yes, they've got their name on the exclusive, they take the most risk, but the other retailers and Diamond play a big part in it. This time around the delays make me think they're trying to milk it a little. Fine, they control the stock, but 4 delays is a bit much. And again, I'd be more likely to support AFX if I could get a more realistic price on the shipping/handling.

Poor afx. 10/24 to 11/7 to 11/14 to 11/21. Delayed shipment my ass. This is all about trying to make as many of their own sales as possible.

Nope... rather give my money to Luke. Even if it means waiting.

Sorry AFX. No matter how long you delay the shipment of Alpha set #2 to other etailers, I'm not going to buy it from you. Gouge people on shipping enough, and they'd rather wait a month or two than patronize you.

I noticed no thread for this set... only a dedicated SDCC thread in another topic/forum. I need some loose images because I'm on the fence on picking this one up. Anyone got any? Also, AFX has them, Luke's is backordered? and as far as I can tell BBTS hasn't gotten theirs yet. So what gives on availability?

So box set # 2 is shown as coming soon on the back of box set #1, the four characters we thought, probably NYCC. Box set #1 is up on AFX, but not at Lukes or my preferred merchant BBTS. So when will the other retailers be able to sell these?

F'ing sweet, that's all I can say. Best minimate news in years for me. Bring on Box Set #2 (and #3!!!!) I hope these sell better than any of the other 4-packs of recent memory, to show DST that things like these, classics, long-term Marvel staples should be their focus for four-packs, not flashes in the pan like Age of X, Vampires and the two 'Mighty' sets.

Bwahahahaha. Thanks for the humor, I needed a good laugh. Happened at my two TRUs as well, although I guess 25 miles in another direction they were spotted. My trus seem to miss every other comic wave... especially when a new movie wave is around. Glad I had a friend from another board hook me up... cost of shipping was worth not having to check every day to see if or when they show up.

For me, the team I want that will probably never be made is THE LIBERTY LEGION Bucky Whizzer Miss America Blue Diamond Jack Frost Patriot Red Raven Thin Man Heck we already have Bucky, not to mention GA Cap, Union Jack, Namor and the original Human Torch from that era. Who's yours... be realistic here. You have to embrace the fact that you'll probably never see them made.

Zemo and Wrecker for me. Dont care about Vengeance or Onslaught. I'm fine with the Apocalypse we already have. Abom needs a re-do but not above Zemo or Wrecker. And I want Strucker and Mojo made, but same deal, not over Zemo and Wrecker.

I seem to remember some teeth gnashing from some people over perceived destroyed value in one or more cases. I wonder if its because people had to pay high prices in the first place to get that rare 'mate and not because the once appreciated, now depreciated monetary value of their collection. If you're collecting these as an investment, you're collecting for the wrong reasons.

Are you counting the MvC3 Storm as a remake of her GSXM costume? If so I'd have to politely but vehemently disagree with that and say we absolutely need her re-made, along with Cyclops and Thunderbird. Heck, classic Professor X needs a remake at this point too.
