  1. I'd totally pick up another set at $15. Unfortunately, no such sale at my FYE last time I was there.
  2. Mine came like in a week. As did mine. That actually surprise me a bit, considering how long it took for my Stargate replacement piece to get here. I think that was close to a month.
  3. The helmets from the Clones and Stormtroopers that have removable ones actually fit over Minimate heads, I think I actually prefer that look to the Lego heads on Minimate bodies. The Lego heads end up a bit too small for my tastes.
  4. That would be 52/Booster Gold's Super Nova:
  5. Yeah, I found the 8-pack a couple weeks ago and as much as I like the repaints, I just have to say how much I love the box. The background for the figures is a cut-away of a building, which features a lab, a gym and a meeting area. Outside the cut-away is a scene of the city. The building also has a separate cutboard piece that inserts to give the building and it's various rooms walls and floors. I also picked up the Sentinel and it too has a nice background. It's the Xavier school with smashed windows you can actually see "into". I was surprised they'd put that much detail into it. They've really done a nice job with these larger sets and the dioramas they've given them. It really adds a lot to the set, although it does make it hard to open them.
  6. It's a combination of Thor and the TRU Akuma. I scraped off most of Akuma's face except the eyes, then painted the rest. Also, I cut off most of Thor's golden curls, but I left just a little bit in back that I painted silver as I thought just the helmet would look odd.
  7. I get mine at the LCS, TRU, Target, FYE, online...just about anywhere you can get them. I really can't pick a "best" because they're all good for various reasons. Most of those reasons being exclusivity.
  8. Ah. They're not too rare, it's just that everyone wants those. Flint for being Flint and the Cobra Officer for troop building. I guess since the bubble head one came out, the demand for Cobra Commander has died down slightly, so now just about the only ones that sit on shelves are Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and CC. Flint and Cobra Officer go almost immediately after a case goes out.
  9. That's a hanky? I thought they were those weird playing cards that they use.
  10. ...and I'm probably the only one who'll vote for Amalgam...
  11. Yep, I was just at FYE today and they still have 8-9 of them. Still full price though, since they almost never put toys on any sort of sale. I think that they actually do still have a few figures they had at their grand opening a couple years ago...
  12. Giant Man shouldn't have come at all until he been given giant proportions. I just won't get over the fact he's 'Not Giant-size Giant Man'.Sad. For the majority of the Zombie comic he wasn't "Giant-Sized," so I can live with the fact that we have a normal sized Zombie Giant Man. If they ever do a regular Giant Man release then, yeah, I'd probably agree with that sentiment.
  13. I can live with it. If Wovly can have one white eye and one regular eye, why can't some one have two white eyes? I do wish that some of the other ones were more "Zombified" than they are though. Giant Man could almost pass as just a battle damaged version of himself; the only thing Zombie about him is his exposed teeth.
  14. I really don't care for the use of the Powerhouse chest on these. Why? Why add the pants/belt to the chest? That's just...no. The purple triangles look especially bad hanging off of Hulk's chest. Wolverine I can deal with, maybe, Hulk no. If I thought I could do a good job of it, I'd paint the regular chest block and just throw the chest sleeve in the extras bag. I was wary of the Powerhouse chest before, but this really make me hope that they just can that idea entirely. Yeah, I know, that's never going to happen.
  15. Yeah, I have two of the same. Same with Killer Croc. At least my Zombie Hulk has all of his toesies where they're supposed to be. His are a little bit more noticeable.
  16. Wow, I must be slow, I just realized they have Venom hands. Grabby!
  17. Of those I'd have to say Sabretooth. Beast bothers me, but not as much as Sabretooth. When I look at him, I just can't see him as Sabretooth. A 616 or AoA Sabretooth would be much better.
  18. I went with Classic BSG, Star Wars and 300. Maybe I should have gone with Star Trek, because I want a TWOK Khan. The rest of the figures may be a little boring though, since they'd all essentially have the same body. I also would love Doctor Who Minimates. Although, other than the Cyber-men and a couple of others, I'm not too sure how the villains would turn out. Most would involve a lot of sculpted parts, or, in the case of the Daleks, getting rid of the "classic" Minimate body. Not that that would really be a problem, they could make a line just out of the different versions the Doctor and his companions
  19. The Darktide set was around $3.30 at mine, but then someone came by and grabbed them all. The SF Minimates are still $11.99 and they just moved them and put that new tag up.
  20. I don't really understand why people would have preferred the yellow Daredevil to have been the variant. Of course, I'm not all that in favor of variants, so when they put the rather bland Black Elektra as the variant instead of the yellow Daredevil, which I like, I was happy.
  21. Just got off the phone with the LCS owner, he said that he had planned on ordering them, but apparently never did. So he went ahead and ordered a case of Star Trek, and a Rocky Boxset yesterday. Does anyone know the usual turnaround on these things? Should they ship next week, the week after? Or is it more random than that?
  22. Oh, the delightfulness that would be Londo.
  23. I noticed that too. I'm assuming series 2 was meant to have them as well, but something got flubbed up in the factory. Otherwise, how else would LCS like mine know that they should charge $15 for that set?
