^^^LOL!! Yeah, that's kind of my take on it too! If they have that kind of energy to burn, maybe they'd be better employed doing something with their baby, or house...or husband (that would make him happy as young mums aren't known for being amorous Back in the day, I know I was too busy to have spent much time on line (had the net even existed then), and this is a UK based site so the timezone is the same! When Miranda took a nap, then I did too ~ I was usually too knackered doing the job, let alone talking about it! I sympathise with MissusPL. Nothing beats experience ~ and with three she'll have more experience than me! I found listening to other mums was the best way to get through the hard task of bringing up baby, but then again I guess I'm wasn't too arrogant not to want try out advice if it sounded like it might work. I was hoping to pass spme of it on, but GEE, that's the last time I try to give advice on "Time Out"!

Indeed Timbo they are thrown in at the deep end, and you would therefore think that information from experienced mothers would be appreciated. You can ignore advice or agree with it, but these are just a bunch of judgemental harridans! They're not there to help each other out, but to engage in some kind of pissing contest! Honestly Timbo, I've never seen the like. They make the old AA Trek Talk look like the Care Bear Bunch! Thanks! And as a result they don't have me anymore.

^^^Actually I am tempted! I've been seeing snippets of news about this for a while now, and how nervous the artist was about not offending the fans (I think I may have posted the snippet over at TU).

Crikey! Guys and girls, it is with great relief that I return to the fold of sane and pleasant people after my recent experience on a parenting nessage board called "mumsnet". I don't normally go in for that sort of thing, but it was in the news last week and I thought I'd go along and have a look. Basically, it's supposed to be a website and message board for parents to exchange news and views....just don't try posting an opinion. I did, I posted about some real experiences I had because I thought it would be helpful to somebody. Talking about sticking your head above the parapet! I have been swooped on from a great height by banshee women from Hell, and all I did was offer a bit of support to someone on the board. I have never met such a bunch of bitches in my life....anywhere...especially in cyber space! They must all be hag bags full of raging hormones or driven half mad by their screaming offspring, but they are nasteeeeeeeeeee What kills me is that these women are supposed to be mothers, but trust me, you wouldn't want to let your kid go for a sleepover in one their houses!! You wouldn't want to meet them in a dark alley at night! I don't remember having a "nappy~brain" like that at all. Anyway, I told them (politely) what I thought of them and promptly deregistered. I have never deregistered from a message board before. No wonder childcare guru Gina Ford wants to shut 'em down! I'm actually embarrassed to be a woman at the moment.

LOL! Trust me...that jaw is pert by comparison! Which brings to mind the great Joan Rivers... I bought myself a leather bra and I wore it for my husband. He said "Honey..new shoes!"

Totalus Kat has already provided me with a custom Shinzon so that I don't miss out....and I actually do own a grand total of **cough** three minimates (I know you guys all have thousands!) .... a YSK, a LOTR and a TBT special bombmate! .........Ooh goody! perhaps I can show mine!! Well..Ady...I could have helped out a sister there couldn't I? Since I was passing York at least twice last week! I could've popped into your office (Yes, guys, I know where he works!) and said something like... "Yes, Ady...put that Minimate down when I'm talking to you boy! It's time to make an honest woman of her you commitmentphobe..." ...or helpful words to that affect! The new Mrs Shanester is absolutely beautiful...

I'm amazed it has reappeared!!! There are quite a few people signed up already and a whole slew of Trek topics ~ so whatever anyone thinks about the Trekkers, they're certainly lively in the way they partcipate! The trouble is, I've already had most of these discussions with the usual suspects over on other sites, and I can't see the point in replicating my comments on AA's new site as well, so I haven't bothered to register ~ especially as it is hardly the all~sing~all~dancing, fabbo wondersite that we were allegedly going to get. For a start it looks pretty dull, and it's pretty much the same old format as before. I prefer the design of this place and FHC's site for Trek toys.

^^^Eeeegads!! :o It does indeed appear to have disappeared! (Can't say that it'll make much difference to me though ~ for all the information it ever gave us that we couldn't get elsewhere first!)

^^^Well you never know ~ maybe Paul McGann's got it tucked away in a cupboard to do odd jobs with! I'll have to do a side~by~side compare with the new Shinzy Jules and the old Shinzy Jules!!

^^^Hey! I actually like FHC's design ~ it's totally TOS! And Ady...........I had to laugh when I read what you said remembering the day when you changed the AA skin to a kind of retina~searing acid orange that had me yelping and reaching for my sunglasses! Anyway, I want to reiterate what the Donster said and to stress that FHC's website and forum is soley about Star Trek TOYS and collecting, and we don't get into any discussions about the actual programme or the movies. If you want to talk actual Trek, your best bet is still TU. Anyway, the site is growing fast with those of us who collect Trek toys, so do come and join us.

I've just finished watching some of the extras on my Nemesis special edition DVD, and I'm all Shinzied~up for a while, and I've found some utterly bodacious shots of the great man to make into screen caps.... ......truly Shinzon is sex incarnate!! Hey Kat...you never know, but that 1996 custom Doctor minimate custom concept could just find it's way into the hands of the 8th Doctor himself....... ...truly..... Mrs McGann was my creative writing tutor first semester!

I agree with everything you say! Hopefully, we'll hear from Zidane himself as to what actually happened to make him lose his cool. Right before the actual incident ~ he was actually smiling and then you saw the Italian move his lips and..........POW! Whatever it was ~ it must have been pretty bad.

EDIT: ^^^Well, spookily enough....I just put "chobits" through my search engine and the first link up was a UK website, chobits.org.uk, but when I clicked on it I got a very strange error message that read something like "Access denied, server understood the request but could not fulfil it. Authorisation should not be sought and request should not be repeated!" How very bizarre ~ has anyone ever seen a message like that before??? Anyway, there are a load of sites out there for this ~ if anyone really wants to know more.

^^^LOL! I thought this was just the place to share that story! I can sympathise with the young mums thing.........really and truly.........I was a young mum myself once but even I knew that tales of crying, wee~wee, posset and poo~poos definately has a short shelf~life! Certainly as far as I was concerned, and I did try to introduce political discussions into my mums & babes group ~ they all kind of stared at me and went straight back to discussing nursing pads and colic. Needless to say....they still are friends together and yours truly hasn't seen any of them in a very long time! Anyway, in case anybody was wondering.....I'm busy endeavouring to have the last word in two discussions with ST:E over at TU...old habits don't die, they just move elsewhere.
