  1. That Thor is AWESOME! And the Mags/Xorn figure is the baddest mofo version I've seen of the master of magnitism! I might just have to get behind the Hasbro version of ML...
  2. I kind of assumed we were at least each paying shipping, because it's not fair for us to ask Tim or any of the other attendees to loose cash for doing something nice for the rest of us.
  3. I'm a huge GL fan. So I want John, Guy, and Kyle to go with Hal. I'd love to have a John figure, but if someone can't score me one or I can't find one on ebay for a decent price life shall go on.
  4. I've just started noticing myself, but with all the mention of Batman's mask including his face I'm suprised no one's mentioned that Power Girl has an "over chest" piece. Am I the only one that finds this odd?
  5. If they didn't have a SDCC con exclusive 'mate. Oh? They have one? It's a really cool one at that? Well, I guess I'm set for life...
  6. I can't wait to see the Lex mini, and wouldn't mind having one of those JS's myself. If the attendies can't get enough, I guess I'll be searching ebay for this and a Nemisis Prime. And thanks to those of you reminding us these are still the prototypes and some of the details on the figures will be... funny.
  7. VW's position on being involved with the Transformer's was made a while back. Hasbro/Takara mocked up a prototype for the first Binaltech/Alternator figure in the line and presented technical drawings for two more. The response from VW was simply, we don't want to be involved with "war toys" please don't ask again. The proto was a Porshe (later redesigned as a Mazda RX-8), the drawings were of Bumblebee and Cliffjumper both as Beetles. So, the movie crew knew a long way out they were looking for a different vehicle. The Camero is... odd. However I was most suprised about this Prime rumor, because up until now everything had been saying the vehicle would still be a flat nosed Frieghtliner.
  8. Nintendo has stated the Wii will be hardware compatable with the Gamecube (they don't have the hardware issues the Xbox does because Nintendo didn't change companies on the graphics chip like Microsoft did), and through the virtual console we'll be able to download games from the NES, SNES, N64 (both in house developed as well as 3rd party), as well as selected titles from the SEGA Genesis, Turbo Graphics 16, and new indie developed games. Neolego is talking about the new Nintendo Wii (uncomfermed price of "under $250"). Most of the FPS's will be released on the Mocrosoft Xbox 360 (Halo 3 has been announced) or the Playstation 3 (announced price of $600). Personally I'd suggest you go with the 360 (with a hard drive), if you just want FPS's. With a Xbox Live account (even the free trial they give) you can download all the patches for the Xbox game to play on a 360 and it already has Call of Duity as a launch title, with a "Spider-Man 2/GTA" style free roaming Superman Returns game due out, and again Halo 3 has been announced. Over all though the Nintendo Wii will have the potential biggest launch title list if you include the virtual console and will come in the cheapest of all the new gen systems. If you want a reason to get a PS3, then you're going to have to ask someone else, cause at $600 with no extra controler and no game to play I've got nothing for it.
  9. On the main index if a category has a new post it has by it and if not it has That's exactly what I ment. Must not have payed close enough attention.
  10. Some kind of "new post" icon for use on the main page. Nothing fancy, just something to keep from having to check each subject to make sure there's been activity.
  11. I kind of want the Batcave too, so I can expand my cave even more (it's currently made of 2 c3 caves). My only issue is that LEGO, especially licenced LEGO, is usually expensive. Has anyone seen a price point on this set yet? I want to remember locally the Batwing is almost $50...
  12. I know I'm not Ady, but yeah some of those are customs. Including his Hal and the Iron Lantern Amalgam character. With which I'm really impressed, that's the first time I've seen an IL. :o
  13. The way I understood things is that he's signed up with Marvel to do another 12 issues (#13-24). It wouldn't be impossible for him to do both, considering all the TV/DVD movies for the Buffy/Angel characters he had plans for has fallen through. Comic minis could be the way Whedon is planning on telling those tales now.
  14. Wave 15 is nothing but Spider-Man and Wolverine 2 packs. All the same Spidey and Wolverine. With a chase pack of 2 Spideys.
  15. Any "action" movie directed by Singer will have those timing issues. He paces himself so the film settles on each emotional moment in an attempt to give the story more weight. He has gotten better about it since "X-Men" though... I didn't like the fact this was a psuedo-sequal/remake of the first film. There is so much more that can be done with the story than that. However, like I said I would, I did love this movie. It's rare that I want to go see a movie in theatres twice, but I wanted to see the next available showing for this one. This really was (in most way) a movie I had waited almost 20 years for. Now I just can't wait for "Superman Returns Again" or whatever the next one is.
  16. I honestly think the Captain Britian is still my favorite. He's such a cool character with a classic look.
  17. So far I'm really excited about this movie. It's already been said this movie will have a "stand alone" universe, not being G1 or any of the other "human related" lines. I was actually at Cannon AFB while the crews were shooting sceens at Holliman AFB (only a few hours away) so the friend I was visiting and I did a little info digging. It sounds like they are doing some very cool stuff with this. There are changes, and updates to the characters but it should still be a big shiney action movie with big explosions and giant robots.
  18. I started with 2-packs from Wal-Mart, but they stopped carrying them. Now, I get almost all my mini's from my LCS. He puts back a chase for me, I get a discount, and I can get the con-exclusives for less than what it would cost me online after shipping usually. I almost only hit ebay now for the hard to find stuff like promos and early stuff I missed.
  19. My first exposure to this brand of plastic crack was the Cap/Rhino pack at Wal-Mart one night. I thought, "hey a neat little Captain America figure..." Then I got them home and got to playing with them a little, trying to figure out where I wanted to put them. I saw how great they went with my Transformer Alternator figures, and then I started wanting more... Within 2 weeks I had all the different ones the local Wal-Mart had. Shortly after I got back into collecting comics and noticed the store I went to had them, so I started getting the sets there. Now, Marvel, DC, most varients, con-exclusives, and promos when I can find them (and have money). I've stopped getting basicly everything else but comics and certain TF lines/figures, all because of the minis.
  20. Part of me hates to say it, but if they got Penny Arcade mini's I would grab them ASAP. It's seriously some of the funnier stuff I come across.
  21. and now Quicktime has updated with the "official" version, you can tell a lot more about who's who and what's what.
