  1. Hey, I'm all about the good It's the reading things I have problems with I'll check things out further when I get back from SDCC. Have alot of prep work around the house starting next week to insure the house doesn't fall into disrepair while we're gone Definately hope these are on display at SDCC too, not to mention some of the other upcoming goodies
  2. Me too Antacost, seemed like a piss poor excuse to this fan. Not to mention reading that Timm and his gang had to concede defeat, even though they had ideas for a final season(if it had ran another year). I've seen shows like Family Guy(which I love) come back from the dead thanks to Cartoon Network. Why exactly they couldn't have new episodes and sell it into syndication escapes this fan. Oh well, going to finish looking through the forum and get back to watching Season 2 of Superman(TAS)
  3. Yep, looks like BB did 4 Season's and JLA did 2 season before becoming JLU in season 3 and did a couple more season's after that before the pulled the plug. Read a interesting article in this months Toyfare about it and how they plan to release movies in dvd format for both TT and JLU. While I can understand them pulling the plug, since it's reached the usual norms when it comes to animated series, if the numbers were there why not modify those "norms"?
  4. Who's cheeky, if you read my post above yours, I have the link for AFX on it I swear Ady, now I can see why TBT thinks you ride the short bus to work Like I said before, folks can order from whomever they like. For those that live here in the states, order from AFX and support the forum and your international brothers I will most likely put my orders in after SDCC, since I need to keep everything in the nest egg me and the Mrs. have for the trip
  5. Thanks for keeping that straight for me Lurch, looks like Ady's not the only one riding the short bus these days
  6. Sounds like something I will pick up once it comes out in trade form As I'm still trying to stick to my comics only in the form of trade or hardback trade(preferred). Now here's a weird one for those with the dvd sets. I just finished Season 3 with the wife and was curious about the interviews with Whedon. Why exactly do they have the same interview with Whedon on 2 seperate episodes again? My wife and I love the extras, but were a little blown away by this. Not to mention finishing out our seasons collection when they announced the new boxed set Does anyone have a review on that one? Just curious how that one compares to the old sets? Sorry to sideline the thread Ady, just curious what other Buffy fans thought.
  7. Sorry, don't have much experience with Corner Store Comics, I just know folks were talking about that place for preorders on the old forum. Here's a direct link to AFX for us lazy people While I've only had good experiences with AFX, I know some folks complain about the high shipping costs Me? As long as my items get to me in a timely manner and in good shape, I'm good. But I'll let folks decide where they want to purchase for themselves
  8. Any idea when the second season of Batman Beyond comes out? Need to finish that series up for my collection.
  9. Nestle, not sure if you caught this on the AA Forum, but alot of members were purchasing them from Corner Store Comics and somewhere else. I'm thinking I'm going this route, even though my local CBG has assured me he ordered them. While I love the guy, he's dropped the ball on me one too many times, ala' Smile Time Angel and JLU Black Canary maquette My wife still busts his stones everytime we go in there about the Black Canary
  10. Interesting pick for the new companion, I look forward to see how they handle it. As the article said, Billie will be missed
  11. I don't think Whedon is under a exclusive deal with Marvel at this point either? Definately might pick this up to see what they've got planned for Buffy. The new Angel series seems interesting as well, it's nice these series can live on even if the show didn't
  12. Did they sell anything out of the DCD booth last year? I remember seeing some of the figures, but don't remember anything for sale? Guess I'll pay attention this year
  13. HSD, I purchased my Superman(TAS) Season 3 at Best Buy and it came with the free movie ticket. My wife and I went and saw the movie the next day I believe Plus, I don't think it was just the Superman, but the 2nd season of JLA that came with the free ticket offer. So if you still need that, it might be worth more than the Brainiac movie? The choice is yours in the end of course
  14. Since Reideen1313 has put me on his ignore list, I'll address this one more time. I've tried to offer a olive branch and he's refused it. Being a forum leader in another forum, I can't believe he hasn't made a decision he regrets now? I think all of us have, whether we want to admit it or not? I think this forum is a fresh start and would hate for him or anyone else not to participate in the forum because of me. As I said in the thread and in the pm, I wasn't defending or defacing anyone, be it Ulan or Picard or AA. When I was a forum leader on AA, my allegiances lied with the community, not any particular member or otherwise. But now everyone has a choice here, we can move forward or hold onto the past? I think the least we can do is participate in the forum and be civil to one another. Since Ady has went to great lengths to insure we have a community again. While we should never forget the sins of the past(lest we forget them), that doesn't mean we need to repeat them here.
  15. Just remember to hire the same guy that Julius Caeser did, who whispered "Your only a man, your only a man" and you should be fine Ady It's the reason I have my Mrs. If I could count the times she's stopped me from putting my world domination plan to action
  16. Welcome to the party, TBT or Danny are buying
  17. Glad I could help, I'm suprised you hadn't noticed Ady's post on where he was sending some of the Trek members, since like me, he's still in contact with alot of members from the forum. Nice to see you on Fwoosh by the way, a little bit smaller gathering, but some of the same faces from AA. As a matter of fact DST just announced the 4th wave, Crusher, Wesley and Q. I'm kind of hoping Ro rounds out the wave, but thankful to just have a complete bridge crew
  18. In the hopes of keeping this peaceful as possible for everyone, I'll be more than happy to discuss this off the forum Reideen1313. But I will say openly, no where was I defending or sticking anyone to the crucifix I was just voicing my frustration with his name always being brought up. As I said to another person recently, it's easy to consider someone a troll if you have the means. So you a correct, this is a new forum and no bad mojo needs to follow us here, whether it's Tim, Ulan or AA for that matter. Which was the point I was trying to make. I'll explain the rest in a pm though.
  19. And you have a reply Now if you'll excuse me my chores await
  20. Yeah, because I brought his name up TBT Sorry for voicing my frustrations on this, but I've been to at least 4 different forums that his name has been mentioned and it's tiresome Especially since most don't even have all of the information on the situation, since most of it happened on the AACC side of things. Logan, feel free to pm me and I'll feel you in on the whole fiasco. There's really no reason to bring this up in the new forum, since it's all just negative mojo for the most part and this place is about the positive mojo
  21. Wow, Roger Ebert would be proud that someone is taking his place while he's recuperating from health issues and surgery You would have thought I would have been the one to come out with some of the comments made in the last few days Since I was one of the one's going in with a closed mind I enjoyed it and I think folks need to possible go and see it a second time to make sure they got the full experience of movie, I know I plan too
  22. Thanks for the warm welcome, appreciate it I check in from time to time to see what's new and what needs replying too. But with the Mrs. on vacation I'm beginning to get the dt's from lack of computer time Actually it's been kind of nice, of course none of the projects we have are getting done any faster. But it's nice to just spend some time where it's important too. If I've missed any threads where folks were talking to me, please point me in the right direction. Otherwise, like the new diggs and plan on pulling up a chair soon.
  23. God, I wish that Ulan's name could just be forgotten about. Why someone always feels the need to throw this name into the race I can never understand. While there are still some of us that remember the name, doesn't mean we want to be reminded of it I think this is where AA and whomever takes over as forum leaders is going to have a problem. It doesn't matter if you start from scratch with the post counts or reduce the amount of subforums there, there's always going to be someone who remembers Ulan, the AACC or some other low point of the forum, no matter what they collect As I and others have pointed out, there's really no big need for the forum, it's just the nostalgia of it we miss. Trust me, I've met up with most of the members in some forum or another across the www
  24. Yeah, we always look at typecasting as a double edge sword here in the states Rad. Since so many of our actors are afraid of that. It's like Sarah Michelle Geller, no matter what she does, she'll always be Buffy. Luckily Alyson Hannigan has found success with a new show called "How I met your mother". But we really liked Billy, seemed she really had some great chemistry on the show. As far as The Doctor? Yes, it's my wife and I's first dealings with the show. We were aware of the show from the past, since it has a large following here in the states. However Robster and a bunch of other friends kept going on about it, so we thought we would give it a spin. As far as her leaving, it's unfortunate that she couldn't do another season and then the switch go through. Since it's usually the 4th year where everything goes to hell in a handbasket, lol. Oh, the Daleks, I find them to be quite interesting. But I'm still trying to piece some of the mythology together on the show and figure out their history with The Doctor.
