  1. Get a room already or are you saving it up for next week I guess we know where Shane's last taste of bachelorhood will be
  2. Now I know some of you had problems with the old AA Trek forum, but I also know that some of you also like Trek as well. So on behalf of Fatheadcookie's Trek Toy Forum, we'd like to invite some of you over. Just like Ady's every growing community here, our's is ever growing too and would like you to be part of it. Especially with Trek Minimates on the horizons, it only makes since for members to get a running start. Hopefully this time both communities can set a better example for each other. Hope to see you soon.
  3. I liked it, lets just coordinate it a little bit better this time. I can without a doubt say Friday will be out for me, as that is my birthday and the wife will probable want to take me out for dinner But I can see about squeezing in Thursday with her
  4. Just wanted to give everyone a little FYI, especially if your looking for trade or custom fodder. Not sure about everywhere else, but my local Target has clearanced the Darktide set. I believe it was maybe 50% off? I only noticed this at one Target though, so you might want to look around. I wouldn't worry about Minimates being at Target in the future either. Since they seem to clearance things when a reset in their toy area is about to happen.
  5. Big thanks to Boyd for posting these pics from Toyfare itself on the rest of the line up. Forum leaders, if this is a problem, please feel free to edit my post. Here's page 1 and 2 of the article. Keep in mind folks these are just the prototypes and certain things might change. While we've been relaxed for the most part, I've seen multiple posts by folks just going every way but Sunday on how these look
  6. Nervous, is she still upset about your hook up with Princess Leia? Hopefully not, since my wife pointed her out to me last year. I was in such awe of everything that I was spazzing out on all the other cool stuff going on My wife and I will be there just before Preview and all that. TBT has my cell number, but as I said, not sure if I can meet up with anyone since I promised the wife I wouldn't commit to anything but her this time But hopefully that won't stop anyone from saying hi to us at the con itself, just don't do it on Preview Night, as I'm on a mission WOO HOO, 69 posts!!
  7. No worries J, no worries Buddy of mine was under the same impression thanks to that post by DCD. I'm kind of hoping we get lucky and they start shipping after San Diego Comicon To me that would be a awesome birthday present
  8. ...And now you know the rest of the story, Paul HARVEY, Good DAY
  9. Ok, Here's the post from Matt... While I'm no longer a member of the forum now, I know Matt is a wealth of information when it comes to the DC Universe. Hopefully they can make it through this hard spot in the road.
  10. And sorry for my ignorance, but which system is this and who's making it again? Pretty sad when it comes to the world of game consoles
  11. Ady, you can contact Matt via e-mail here. I'll ask a couple of friends that are still members what's going on though and see if they know what's up? But it's the first I've heard of anything.
  12. I spotted both maskless versions of Cap and Wolverine today. While I've been on the fence about these, I was impressed with them. Unfortunately with all my oversized figures, it comes down to room at this point.
  13. You can also check them out in this months Toyfare. I saw them today at my local CBG's, unfortunately mine hasn't hit my mailbox yet Did a little hunting in the interim for you Jcastick. Here's War Hulk for you, I couldn't find any of the other pics for you though, sorry. If anyone has picked up this issue, please put some pics up for the rest of us.
  14. Guess I need to remind my wife not to suprise me with this just yet Not sure what she has in mind for my birthday, but I hope it's not this. As I want to get my flatscreen in the bedroom and get this room in shape before I buy a game system. Not to mention I want more games and the price to go down on this system. Does anyone have any thoughts on some of the other companies platforms? I know that both Nintendo and Sony are coming out with something by Christmas. But I just want a good system that I can play shoot em up games on. On our first computer, I loved playing Quake. Of course while my car was in the shop, I love to pop over to Best Buy and play Call of Duty on the old Xbox
  15. Actually, I'm going to back up Lurch on this one Nestle'. As I recently watched Superman(TAS) Season 2's dvd. Timm has some comments on how things came to be on the Kids WB in the World's Finest Part 1 commentary. Kids WB approached them about streamlining BTAS and bringing to to their network. So I don't think BTAS was cancelled, as the contract was probable up with Fox and moved over to KWB. I know that in several of the commentaries they mention producing BTAS and STAS side by side, then later it turned into what Lurch was describing on Kids WB. Cartoon Network was still in it's infancy at the time these were televised.
  16. Jason, I'm not entirely sure...But I think the DCD Minimates aren't scheduled to be released until Aug-Sept for the 1st wave and Oct-Nov for the 2nd wave? Can someone back me up on the release dates, as I'm only going by the preorder lists on online stores. But I'll call my CBG tomorrow and ask when he expects those in.
  17. I only have one at the moment, Spider-Man, which Robster sent me a few months back. But I have to say that I was impressed with the detail and weight of the figurine. Now I'll have to find it and show my local CBG to order it. Is this through the company Ady or Diamond? Otherwise I may have to get a helping hand on this.
  18. And I know how you feel HSD, I was definately not seeing the love in this thread Luckily, I did receive several e-mails and belonged to Danny's site. I was just incapacitated to register and post. Once I was done being sick there was work to do around the house and other things to catch up on Unfortunately, I didn't have alot of the Minimaniacs e-mail and those I did, already knew about the place. If I can make a suggestion, send out the word again and remind folks about the place. Because if anyone is like me, sometimes messages get lost in the shuffle of multiple others. But glad to start seeing some familiar faces again
  19. It's funny you should mention World's Finest Lurch, I just finished watching those 3 episodes and was pleased I didn't need to get one of the animated movies again. Here's something I picked up tonight and the nice thing is it has every episode Fleischer did and it only cost $7.99. But make sure you get this set and not another. Otherwise you'll be like me and have several of the dvds without all 17 episodes. You can definately tell what inspired Bruce Timm/Paul Dini's stuff. I recommend this to anyone who's a fan of Superman. Looking forward to sitting down and watching these with my wife.
  20. Well this looks promising, hopefully we'll have some pics in Toyfare and displays at SDCC And as others pointed out, no scale issues? I would hate to see War Hulk be the same size as Emma
  21. I'm thinking I'm going to pass on this one. I'll stop by the booth and say hey to Jaycen and the gang, but not really seeing anything that wows me at the moment. I think I would rather get the Majestic Studios Cylon at this point. While I applaude AA for putting something new on their site, they might want to go back and upgrade the forums downtime. Even if they only put coming soon, I'm sure with the Speed Racer and various othe Mates, Conventions, ect., they don't have the time to bother with the forum. Still, it will be nice seeing them at SDCC. While I am one, I hope that a Trekkie doesn't come up again and interrupt our conversation. I might have to do a David Banner on their buttocks
  22. Took you long enough to post the pic Lurch I think your going to be like me pretty soon and doing searches on the site for your name While I won't be wearing a daisy or "I love Minimates" t-shirt this year, I will have my "man" bag and my lovely wife. If anyone wants, I can post some pics from ECCC for those who weren't part of the AA forum, to show what my ugly mug looks like. Just let me know and thanks for the pic Lurch. Teach my wife to think I look like Michael Chiklis
  23. I swear, I'm going to have to do a search with my handle to find all these posts I miss But your right Nestle', I totally missed that one. Was the show actually cancelled or just jumped networks, ala Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I know that the powers that be at the time wanted Batman to be more kid friendly for merchandising purposes. Luckily things didn't change very much for me and I loved the redesign of most of figures for the new Batman(TAS) series, especially Riddler and Freeze. Too bad they never did the updated Scarecrow, I liked that one especially.
  24. You know Shane, they say great minds think alike While I don't collect the Kubricks's or other block figures for the most part, why limit yourself and create another forum for those folks. That way your not only generating interests in the Minimates, but all other block figures. I meant to actually talk to Ady about it the other night, but my wife needed to get on the computer and I forgot to write it down
  25. Not alot of Buffy fans I guess
