Boxed Sets: Classic X-men And the one figure I really couldn't do without: Iron Man (red/yellow), this one reminds me of my favorite era of comic books reading, the Perez/Byrne Avengers

Might as well throw rocks and garbage at me too! I'm not much of an X-men fan. I like the classic characters and costumes alot better. If it had been an Avengers boxed set, I'd buy at least one.

Tsk, tsk, you forgot Monsieur Mallah and Beppo! I'd actually buy it for Detective Chimp, Gorilla Grodd, Ultra-Humanite, and Monsieur Mallah. Then again...there are very few minimates I don't buy!

Daredevil #1 would be way too cool. I'd also vote for Defenders (Namor/Dr Strange!) or Avengers (Thor!). Inhumans and X-statix would be cool too, but I'd like to see some more classics first. Also, a Groo set would be cool since I can never down the PVC set.

Oops, I did score two Classic X-men boxed sets from a comic shop in a small town. My Wife thought I was a little crazy to spend so much, let alone buy them out (they just had the two). But I was smart and sold the 2nd one on Ebay for a decent price. I've also picked up a few minis from a local comic store, but they infrequently carry them and have a higher mark-up. I've inquired about getting more minis at that store several times, but they just didn't seem interested.

Series 1: Luthor, Series 2: Blue Beetle/ Dr Fate, Series 3: Aqua Man, Ocean Master, Deathstroke, Green Arrow... Ah c'mon! What do you mean pick just ONE!?!?! Dagnabbit, I guess it's Blue Beetle. He's a cool character (well, the original was). I didn't expect him to be mini'd, as he didn't even make it to the JLU cartoon. I'm also glad that Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Green Arrow are being made. They round out a Super Friends/Silver Age JLA team. I'm much more excited about the DC minis than the Marvel ones coming out this time around. As for what I'd like to see, basically EVERYTHING. Heh. Good Guy: The Atom (Ray Palmer) Bad Guy: Ultra-Humanite ... or Despero ... or Mongul ... or Deadshot ... or.... Solomon Grundy .... or ....

Hmm, don't think I ever saw the Batcopter in stores, but it didn't really appeal to me anyway. I did manage to score the Batcycle, just for Man-Bat. I never saw the Mini-Javelin though.

Ahhh ... that's where I went wrong! My Master Plan always involved cotton candy, marshmallow bunnies, and those dreadful candy corns. I should've known that paint stripper could be used to conquer the world! More customs? Cool! Bring on the DC oddballs! I dug thru my box a little while ago and found a couple of my old customs. They were stowed away since our last move. I'll try to get some decent pictures and upload them for laughs.

Would love to see Justice Society and Teen Titans Waves. Especially if they had the Brotherhood of Evil or the Fearsome Five.

If the Master Plan is to draw me to your website, then keep cranking out more customs! Great to see ya here, Boyd. Thanks for the news about this forum and also the new DC set. I'd honestly just about given up hope on minis.

Last time I 'rediscovered' Minimates I found a bunch of Marvel wave 10 & 11 at a comic convention in Seattle. They were selling fairly cheap and I was lucky enough to pick up quite a few. I hadn't seen Minimates in stores for quite awhile and I thought they'd become extinct. My previous purchases were from Toys R' Us, Ebay, Tower Records, and Target. The latter had very few and I mainly gobbled them up for Customs. I was never able to find minis at Walmart.

Thanks guys. I remember luke314pi's customs from before and after looking at his new website, looks like they've gotten better and better! I haven't had time to get back into making customs lately, but if I do I'll post here to let you know. This forum looks pretty cool, I found it while browsing Boyd's site the other day.

I used to visit the AA boards for awhile and attempted a few customs. Nothing to write home about, but I'm glad to see that Minimates are alive and kicking. Especially the new DC sets that are coming out!
