  1. Hope Van Dyne is perfect, definitely go with that. Another option would be the Mystique/Vampire Jubilee piece.
  2. AOA Morph is Changeling. They even make a reference to "that ridiculous purple headgear you used to wear" in one of the Astonishing X-Men issues. Since AOA is an alternate reality diverging from 616 at a concrete point, we can assume that they share the same history prior to Xavier getting killed. There's always the possibility that the similarities are coincidence which is why you will always see official references (not Wiki crap) refer to Changeling's real name as "presumed" Kevin Sidney.
  3. His look UNMASKED is what translated from the page to the show unchanged, which I stated "without the headgear." Neal Adams was the first to draw him unmasked which is exactly how he looked in the cartoon. He wasn't really created for the show as the character was somewhat of a blank slate for years. So the show developed a lot of his character traits which were retroactively inserted into comic canon.
  4. Animated Morph is based off of the Changeling from the 60's run. His look is even identical to how Neal Adams drew him without the headgear. The character was killed off fairly soon and wasn't used again until an alternate version showed up in Age of Apocalypse and a similar alternate alternate version showed up in Exiles. There are no rights issues whatsoever with Morph, he's a Marvel creation. The Animated Series version was created so that they would have an X-Men to kill off early on that wasn't popular. If you believe the Urban Legend they called him Morph instead of Changeling due to a rights issue but I'm not getting into that.
  5. Still nothing outside the first Wave.
  6. At that price I may grab an extra to customize a proper Groot out of the correct Groot head and a Starlord body.
  7. In all honesty I haven't seen any of that crap around here in a couple years however we used to have a REALLY bad problem with it. Many complaints were made to management at several locations and I can't say for sure if that did the trick but I'd like to think it helped. I would bring up the problem whenever it comes up, it couldn't hurt.
  8. Colossus looks fine to me, wouldn't change a thing.
  9. So is Banshee's cape a display either/or thing or is it supposed to be two pieces? I really like the way he looks in the package. These are awesome.
  10. I live in the same general area as Mister Miracle so this definitely appears to be a regional distribution problem and not an issue with merchandise not moving. The shared SKU's only add to the problem.
  11. There are two two-packs left from series one out of three stores combined in my area.
  12. Doctor Strange is being added to the Epic line this year so hopefully more people will check out his stories. I second the Stern/Smith run
  13. Why is distribution so atrocious on these?
  14. Meh... it goes against my usual tastes but I've always been a fan of Ramos. 1995-1998 X-Force could work and is up there on my wishlist. That run remains one of my favorite nobody else cares runs in comics. Adam Pollina's art was so unique and beautiful.
  15. That's a good figure but there's SOOOO much that they left on the table. Alternate hands for CapWolf, properly sized Shield, better straps, some shading even though they rarely do that. There's so much to like about the figure and so much to hate at the same time. Face Off Cap is still the king. The body is awesome though, I've got a few of these in the parts bin for customs. I'm really loving the body selection we have for Legends now and against my nature I'm actually enjoying them using the same bodies with slight changes. I loved Toybiz but Hasbro figures are a breeze to work with.
  16. I've been eyeing those larger Marvel Legends for customs. The Spider-Man is a nice plain body but at 50 bucks I really can't afford multiples. Hopefully these will go down in the aftermarket eventually.
  17. Marvel NOW Deadpool is exactly the same as Wave 65, right?
  18. Warlock looks incredible and I never thought I'd see the day he gets an official release. Hasbro absolutely killed it at SDCC this year. So... much... stuff....
  19. I think it's awfully pretentious to completely dismiss someone's opinion towards these. If you don't like the animated style and can articulate why instead of just saying "pass" or "these suck" then your opinion should matter. I don't like the animated style because I collect merchandise based on comic books. The same reason I don't buy movie stuff. Good for those who are into that but just not for me. To me it's like if you collected Marvel Legends and mixed in your Hero Mashers. It just doesn't fit. Nobody is asking for a David Finch Squirrel Girl. I would like one that I can display with my other stuff though. YMMV but these are just too simple looking to fit in. I dunno, maybe I have higher standards for my collection. There's some new tooling here so I'm crossing my fingers just like with Man-Thing that the molds are stretched out over multiple releases to get the most out of them.
  20. I got mine, thanks for doing this!
  21. Hasbro completely knocked it out of the park this year. I'm jealous of Marvel Legends collectors.
  22. I want Squirrel Girl and Hyperion but the animated style is a total deal breaker for me.
