  1. Great part swap Smashmaster12 and one that would never have occurred to me. Inspired. Just got hold of a set of the TRU armours thanks to my good friend on here, Hav. All four figures are truly superb. I'll have to see if I can put together what is now known around here as a 'Smashmaster12 Silver Centurion' for my little bro (who is actually not that little) as it's always been his favourite shellhead look.
  2. She and the Government that she led were responsible for the economic devastation of many communities in my area, many of which are still struggling with that legacy today. She was poison for my region and that I cannot conveniently forget now that she has passed. I do however hope that she can rest in peace.
  3. I like the idea of the eleventh Doctor and Shaggy being on the fringes of the England squad, dj!
  4. I haven't done any customising for about 4 years but when I did I used an old craft light/magnifier that my mam didn't want. It's a bit big at about three foot tall but it did the job for my (then) 44 year old peepers. If I got back into the old customising lark I would definitely use a similar, but much smaller type of kit, it made things much easier for me BHM.
  5. Absolutely superb work, MINI MYTE. Thank you so much for taking the time to put that together, there's too much snappy dialogue, terrific photography and too many cracking one-liners to single anything out. Bravo! And huzzah!
  6. Yes, I would have rather seen the Invisible Man in this wave too. But let's hope they get to do a fourth series that includes him, eh? Or at the very least a box set that would 'mop up' that and a few other likely suspects like The Phantom of the Opera, Dracula's Daughter and The Mad Doctor. Or how about an Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein box set? Let's face it - if they keep making these things they can keep taking my money forever. Those kit-bashed lego/minimate ghosts are very good, Mystery Man - I will definitely have a pop at making one of those as it would complement both the Universal Monsters and Ghostbusters 'mates. I've just ordered Series 3 from ebay (my only option as I'm UK based) and can't wait to get my hands on them!
  7. I agree! I'll keep getting these little beauties as long as they keep coming! The classic Marvel and DC lines have been superb and the Trek, Galactica and GB 'mates just as good. But the Universal Monsters are the mutt's nuts. I will now be stalking ebay all the time trying to find these!
  8. Heads up for any UK members - the Tardis Mega Set (the big one) is currently going for £12.49 at argos stores. That's not bad.
  9. You could use that as the basis for the Al Jolson 'Jazz Singer' custom that you've been planning.
  10. I just stumbled upon some images of the forthcoming CB Monsters vs Zombies line and very nice they are too. There's a Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Wolf Man, Gill Man, Invisible Man and an assortment of the undead. They can be viewed at www.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk if anyone is interested. I really should get around to posting some 'mates comments sometime instead of just hanging around here!
  11. Hello pickle. I know that CB are releasing a series of figures based on the BBC show 'Deadly 60' - a programme about the deadliest 60 creatures on Earth. There are 15 different creatures available including the likes of the Tiger, the Shark, the Polar Bear and so on. They will be compatible with the Doctor Who range so we will be able to recreate the likes of the flying Shark from the Christmas Carol episode. If we so wish. I know that CB are also releasing a third series ot the Armed Forces range and have heard mention of a Zombies line. The Temporal Sheild Sets are an odd release, but I'm not complaing - as they aren't blind-packed I should be able to finally obtain that elusive River Song figure!
  12. Some nice new Character Building Construction sets showing at the Toy Fair here in the UK - Dalek Spaceship. Dematerialising Tardis. The Girl Who Waited playset. Berlin playset. Silent Time Machine Set. And some new mini-figures(Series 3): Bronze (?) Dalek. Black Dalek. Handbot - Robot from The Girl Who Waited. Judoon. (With and without helmet) Black Masked Cyberman (Cyber-Lord?) 11th Doctor (in what looks like a long coat). Sontaran. (With and without helmet) Amy (with writing on face from Day Of The Moon). Vashta Nerada in Spacesuit. River Song (Green dress). Rory (with eyepatch from the Wedding Of River Song). Ood. Madame Kovarian. No release date, just the tantalising 'coming soon'.
