  1. I saw a Real Ghostbusters swap the other day at TRU. The package was for Sam Haim/Egyptian Ghost. The Ghost was untouched, but the other side was missing Sam and instead had GB suit Janine in his place. The swapper also carefully pasted the Janine name card over Sam's. Pretty sneaky...and lame!
  2. I witnessed a fresh case being opened at TRU today. All angry Staypufts. The same at another TRU. By the way, here is the case breakdown in case anyone is interested: 4x Peter/Winston 4x StayPuft/Louis 2x Evil Slimer/Sandman 2x Logo Ghost/Killerwatt The paint aps are really sloppy in this wave. Are the 4-packs painted any better? I still need to pick up set #1.
  3. Hiya, Newbie here. I am temporarily located in Utah but originally from Washington State. I started collecting Minimates in 2008. As you can guess by my screen name, I'm a fan of the old 80s show Thundarr the Barbarian. So how did I get into Minimates? Well, back in the day I bought Toynami's Minimate-esque I-Men. I started building custom displays for my Thundarr I-Men with LEGOs, but I needed more creatures/characters to inhabit their futuristic world. That is when I discovered Minimates. Since then, I've been buying certain MM figures to customize and turn them into characters from the show (like Gemini the two-faced wizard) and add to my display. When the Platoon and Sergio Leone trilogy figures came out, I was really hooked. I never thought I'd ever see a toy of the Man With No Name in my life! It looks like I discovered and bought those at just the right time too (about $10 per set on eBay) because now they are crazy expensive! Then along came the Real Ghostbusters lineup - awesome, full of bright colors. I haven't found them all yet, but the ones I have are hanging out at my LEGO firehouse display as I type. My next challenge will be to build a scaled ECTO-1 for them to cruise in. I think these toys are really fun to mix-n-match and customize, and I also enjoy supplementing their environments with LEGOs. Someday I'll get around to posting pictures of my creations. See y'all around!
