  1. Just to clarify, I like the two-pack, and I think it's cool that two characters that don't have a film franchise are able to be packed together, hopefully we can see more like this. I just don't think they're as high profile as some others do, and I completely disagree if anyone thinks that Daredevil and Ghost Rider aren't more well known. But I'm still psyched to get these.
  2. Please tell me that this license will include characters and creatures from the previous series. PLEASE!!!
  3. I don't think Cap-Wolf needs his own release, just pack those pieces in with a regular one. That's what Hasbro is doing next year in the Marvel Legends line.
  4. They look really cool, I assume the Husk is the gray-faced character, what exactly are they in the game?
  5. That version of the X-Men seems ideal for a future Best Of wave, should they ever make one. And I wouldn't sweat Black Panther, I suspect the day is coming where we have more Black Panther 'mates than you'd believe.
  6. I really want Zenpool. I can't even explain why.
  7. If it's a "First-Look" set, that seems to indicate it would be for a license making its debut. That's how I read it anyway.
  8. I think it's cool to get Howard, Dazzler I'm pretty nonplussed about either way, I got into X-Men after her time had pretty much come and gone, but I like this one better than the first one. The two pack I have the least interest in from Secret Wars is Wolverine and Hulk bi understand why they made it on, theyre just so similar to the ones that came before. I do wish Wolverine came with the baby holding hand from The Walking Dead painted green....
  9. I think you've pretty well summed up the issue. If someone at DST wasn't looking for an excuse to make those characters the reasons given would be laughable. Since I'm not a minimate addict I don't care that minimates continue just so they continue. If they can't make characters I want then I really don't care if the line exists or not. But feel free to complain about complaining. Seriously. As someone who has been here since wave one and bought Hulk and Daredevil off the peg at Suncoast with the VHS tape sized price tag on the front, and has since bought EVERY Marvel 'mate except for literally about ten two packs, I have no interest in seeing anyone's opinion dismissed with the notion that we should be grateful. They are grateful for money, we are grateful for their product. That's how it works. And since Zach seems ok with the debate, I think everything will be ok. I think part of the frustration/confusion over Howard and Dazzler is because it followed so soon after the Daredevil Netflix show was shot down pretty hard, we all try to think with "DST Logic" and this two-pack combined with no plans for Daredevil 'mates caused a lot of confusion about how sets get picked to move forward. I remember making the same point a while back and saying it was a good thing, that hopefully this opened the doors a bit more, only to find out that it didn't necessarily mean that. And some people were upset about that, and others weren't. I'm relatively used to it, I have about 1200 Wolverine 'mates at this point, but everyone has their dream set or character, and when you see someone you feel is on equal footing get made before your favorite, it can be disappointing. And disappointment comes from caring in the first place, so maybe look at complaints as indirect affection if that helps you.
  10. It's always cute when these creators think they're going to somehow get the rights to these characters. Should Marvel compensate them for the longstanding value their creation had? Absolutely. But don't pretend you didn't know what the deal was when you created this character.
  11. There you go AGAIN! Pushing diversity aside in favour of the white-guy option. Sometimes the white version is better. Oh yeah, I said it.
  12. I started commenting again hoping to lure Zach in, and it escalated from there.
  13. I will have to look at them side-by-side when he is released, but my first reaction when I saw this new one was that it would be good for people who never got the first. What does Miles typically wear out of costume? Does he have a default look? I've been meaning to make a civilian version for a while.
  14. I'm not arguing with you, I'm genuinely curious, what is it about the animated Miles that you don't like? To my eye, it looks exactly the same as the other one without the slip over mask.
  15. I'd buy that for a dollar. I'm still very surprised we never got White Vision.
  16. Precisely, although I fear that they've done almost every version of the A-Listers that would prevent the interchangeable appeal the Brotherhood wave had.
  17. Wrecking Crew!! You can do this!! LOOK INTO YOUR HEART!!
  18. Cisgender is the worst thing on Earth. It doesn't exist, but don't tell the Internet.
  19. I agree with a lot of what you say, I really don't know when it became a negative to want the character you have loved for years to still be the character you are reading about. It's like you're punished for not wanting to read the adventures of someone else, simply because they are a different gender or race or sexual orientation or what have you. Am I really not allowed to just not like something? If I'm not interested in a character, am I really expected to buy the comic anyway just to prove that I have an open mind? No thanks. And I agree, I'm glad to see a move towards more diversity, but to me Marvel is doing it the wrong way, by hot-shotting a character into a position that belongs to someone else. They know it would take years to build a character up organically and get the audience behind them, so instead they take away the character you like and the only way to read about them is to follow this new person. And I think it punishes you for being a fan in the first place because they won't even let you have the thing you want. I really like Miles as Spiderman in the ultimate universe, but I will never want him to be Spiderman over Peter Parker. And people can try to make that a political thing all they want, but that's how I feel. And if Peter keeps fading away in favor of Miles, I'm going to turn on him because he is preventing me from having something I want. And it's not because of him personally, it's the decision-making and thought process behind it that I have a problem with.
  20. I think I'm just growing very weary of Marvel replacing virtually every major character with a new PC friendly version. Why can't they take these characters and make them something new, instead of just taking the identity from another one? To me, Hulk is as interesting as he is because of Banner, not because of his powers. So giving his powers to someone else gives you a fundamentally less interesting character, Red Hulk for example. And I don't like it because it puts me in a very weird position, where I am opposed to characters I like. Miles Morales is a great character, but I want him to be the main Spider-Man like I want a 2 x 4 to the head. I like Sam as Captain America, and Jane as Thor, because I feel like it is going to be an interesting story, and when the time is right they will bring back the original, like they did with the Superior Spider-Man story. But now I'm just waiting for the day when Dr. Strange announces that he has always felt like a woman trapped in a man's body.
  21. Why do you want to hurt me man? I just hope "Pointless Pandering" I mean, Totally Awesome Hulk comes with disappearing ethnicity action like he has in the book.
  22. Will there be any more Pathfinder 'mates? I haven't been back to this board in a while.
