I think the idea of bringing the original X-Men into the here and now was as stupid as an ice teapot but I really liked the team costumes they ended up in and we got minimates of in wave 59. Now we are living in the distant future where wave 61 is on the shelves and those suits are already out dated. I have a nice display of 60's X-Men equally nice displays of 70's and 80's X-Men and a dam fine display of 90's X-Men yet every thing after that is some what a miss match of flavour of the month X characters. I don't blame the minimate people though because what the hell were the definitive X-Men looks of the 00's or 10's???

I meant the other red head and I guess that dazzler costume makes the pink hair chaps look better by comparison.

If that is Dazzler on the cover of A-Force, she looks terrible although I suppose who ever it is that's a shockingly awful costume. Who's the red head on the extraordinary x-men cover? (also not liking Storms look)

Thought I would try some modifications on forge The other 90's X-Factor And just for giggles here is an alternate reality X-Factor led by Forge and while I was playing in my parts bin I made this happy fellow. I don't know anything about him except he claims his name is the Devil Spider.

Even though they are technically 70's cartoons it was the 80's when I watched them so I would be all over a boxset of the Archies or Josie and the Pussycats. I would also be all over 2 packs of Yogi and Boo Boo or Captain Caveman and Jabber Jaws. Mind you having said that the non human characters would have to be done like that bear out of the street fighter line because I would probably pass on a Yogi done in Muppets style.

Just out of curiosity do think the best of waves were successful in a way that was different to a regular wave (if that makes sense). I believe they have been successful, because all of them have sold through their original runs already. But the point of these is that we will keep them in stock, so when we sell out, we make more. No REAL need to make a fourth series if the first three are still filling their original purpose. That's what I was wondering though, are the stores reordering them to have perennial stock or did most stores just treat them like another wave at the time and moved on when the next regular wave came along? It's a shame if that's the case because they have been some of the best marvel figs and it would be nice to get them at retail whenever the whim strikes.

Weird question, but I brought some sticker peper from Luke a couple of years ago and then was so worried about wasting it I never used it till now. Unfortunetly it hasn't gone well, Can sticker paper go off? or is there some trick to it? all i can do it with great effort rip different layers apart but none of the seem sticky, so if anybody can shed some light it would be much appreciated.

Actually I wonder where Namor stands in relation to the current Fantastic Four embargo.

If they did another wave of these this is whom I decided would be the best line up. Namor - Green speedos, if they could include the bits for the black outfit that would be amazing but as this would require an entire second lower torso I can understand why it wouldn't happen. Invisible Woman/Girl - Done as a translucent figure including 3 or 4 different hair pieces that could be used to represent Sue from different periods in FF history. This could probably be the star of the wave as far as multiple purchases go because customisers love translucent figs and flesh body parts which this set would have in abandon Black Panther - Done as Kirby drew him back in the day but include a civilian head, as well as gold wrist things and belt with a cape if you want to go modern Human Torch - Basic translucent figure but with lots of flame accessories that can be attached to the body, keep the figure generic enough so it could be FF torch, Invaders torch or Toro again a mostly black figure and a (red) translucent could appeal to customisers increasing multiple sales Magneto - We have seen Magneto done well in the regular line so redone with a best of paint job should be a winner. Wolverine - Brown and tan, almost the opposite to magneto we have seen this version of wolvie a few times in the regular line but each has fallen short for whatever reason so if they could nail it this would be a solid figure. Isn't it the case that you can put the name Wolverine on any old thing and sales increase? also Magneto holds his on in public recognition so I'm sure they would do fine. Captain Britain - Early Excalibur uniform, CB should be done as a bulky figure but with the same uniform on the under body to give the display option, as cap has been drawn pretty big at times. Ghost Rider - Classic black leather chains and flaming skull look with maybe a couple of flame accessories. Captain Britain actually has a fair few media appearances (Usually when something needs to be shown as a threat to the entire world, Brian will be looking concerned in front of Big Ben) also he may appeal to foreign markets, Ghost rider has had a couple of movies and has a very high visual appeal.

Just out of interest, since these are supposedly perennial evergreen items has anybody seen the first two waves around still on a somewhat regular basis?

Bit cheeky I know but a zombie Mystique would be nice with those guys.

Thanks for that it all got somewhat confusing. Are the tru stuff and the wave 61 cross over figures the same?
