  1. Hm. I didn't notice that, but now that you mentioned it... :| Imma have to do something about that I guess. I was SURE I trimmed that damned thing! lol I'd welcome any ideas you can share with me
  2. Thanks for the kind words, friends! I'm currently working on a 6-inch commission, here are some WIP pics:
  3. Good point, Nessex and MiniFiendUK. I admit I haven't really been keeping track of the wave numbers as I only pay attention to Spidey-related 'mates. In that case, my two revised lists would be my "wishlist(s)", with a bit of bias towards the HAMMER Soldier wish-wave. Also digging that Juggy redo, fwoosheyman. I wanted to put him in my list too but I wanted to get a Rhino first.
  4. Technically Back in Black Spidey, Spymaster, etc. weren't army builders. If we were to adhere to "Army Builder" rules then my list would be something like this: Bleeding Edge Iron Man/Updated Rhino Secret Avengers Steve Rogers/Modern Falcon Maria Hill/Iron Spider with back appendages Variant: Sharon Carter/Iron Spider with back appendages OR Negative Zone Spider-Man/Updated Rhino Secret Avengers Steve Rogers/Modern Falcon Maria Hill/HAMMER Soldier Variant: Sharon Carter/HAMMER Soldier
  5. Negative Zone Spider-Man/Updated Rhino Secret Avengers Steve Rogers/Modern Falcon Bleeding Edge (Heroic Age) Iron Man/Maria Hill Variant: Bleeding Edge (Heroic Age) Iron Man/Sharon Carter :spideysense2:
  6. A cartoon cat in a Spidey costume? Hmm... Not quite the one you might have been expecting, but hey
  7. Sign me up for Nirvana Al and Running with Scissors Al. I'd kill for an Al that comes with a bunch of destroyed musical instruments (including a mess of pieces of a smashed guitar) and a blowtorch, too!
  8. Checked on the Database - bobafett's got a point.
  9. Hey, good work man! I like that Vision.
  10. I look at that Dragon and I see Fin Fang Foom. I need an Octopus. Hope I can find one around these parts (and I have no idea how much these things cost).
  11. Thanks karamazov80! I used to have Civil War Spider-Man but I sold him a year ago when I thought I could quit collecting Minimates (HA HA HA LOOK HOW THAT TURNED OUT). I might re-do this in the future (my unsteady hand is to blame for the pain inconsistency in some areas) but for now I'm happy with this. I also like how my custom doesn't have the oversized noggin due to the slip-on mask (and how the mask-eyes begin halfway up his face). youbastards, I used Citadel Mithril Silver as the base coat. It came out so well that I almost turned this into a Silver surfer instead. Haha. Now I know what to do when I make Molten Man. Thanks again!
  12. My first serious attempt (Sin-Eater, Hydro-Man and Peter Parker don't count as "serious"): CIVIL WAR SPIDER-MAN Special thanks to luke314pi and youbastards for helping me out with my paint problems. Thanks for viewing! More to come (hopefully).
  13. Thank you so much to both of you, you've been very helpful. Like I said, I've never had these problems before, back when I was still into MLs and (for a VERY short time) MU. I'll post the results of my work after I get the paint I need.
  14. Thanks guys. That's it, I'm running to the store tomorrow to get a nice Citadel Silver. Wait, won't the Tamiya Clear Red mess that up too? And why would a spray-can paint be problematic? (I was considering using spray paint.)
  15. I'm sorry, I feel like an idiot but I think this is the best place to ask, and I think I HAVE to ask. I've been trying to make an Iron Spidey, and I can't paint it properly. I've tried twice, with both attempts ending in bitter failure. So this is what I do: I take apart the Minimate - head, torso, arms, legs and feet - and coat them with Tamiya Chrome Silver. It's tricky to apply but it dries evenly. The problem starts when I start applying Tamiya Clear Red after the coat dries. It...kinda melts the silver coating, turning it into a gummy mess that sticks to my brush and slides off the figure. What should I do? Is it the paint? Should I sandpaper the Minimate first? I never encountered this problem when I was still customizing 4" and 6" figures. Any help would be appreciated.
  16. I loved your Peter Parker recipe so much I made one myself. Also really digging that Red Robin. Nice work bro!
  17. Hey wow! That's perfect. Thanks! By the way - to give credit where credit's due: my Peter Parker was copied from bobafett's excellent recipe.
  18. Thanks dude! Good luck to both of us. This is why I can't really branch out to other Marvel characters - Spidey has way too many villains and supporting characters (and variants!) and it's kinda hard to backtrack.
  19. Love your pics, guys. I'm liking the Sinestro/Sinestro Jr. pic. Some of mine:
  20. Hey guys. Which Minimates have clear blue arms? I really need them for my custom Hydro-Man (as I don't want to shell out so much money for him), and I was hoping you guys could help me figure out a cheaper alternative to Iceman. Help would be much appreciated.
