  1. They're certainly not perfect, but man do I want them asap. Here's to hoping Luke can get supplies of all these new sets.
  2. Awesome, I'm actually headed to my closest TRU today. Fingers crossed
  3. Ugh, more new stuff I *have* to have. What an awful time for me to be out of work. Shame about the New Mutants set using those frustrating gauntlets though. I cannot get them to stay attached to any of my 'mates that came with them.
  4. I didn't realize some US folks were still having troubles with wave 7. Hopefully everyone catches up soon, and the new waves hits in abundance asap.
  5. Looking forward to walking into my TRU and finding these in great abundance, just like the the current wave. No need to resort to constantly reloading the website or settling for ebay prices.
  6. Wow yeah, I see it now too. It took comparing the windshields to even notice the difference. Hopefully it's far more obvious in person.
  7. I don't chase after the super rare collector items like gold or silver spidey, so most of *my* must have higher priced items have been found. (Wave 28 Deadpool, Dark Pheonix, Firestar) All in all, in my first year of collecting, I've gotten pretty lucky finding things at a affordable (to me) price. Filling out my DC Minimates collection has been far more hit and miss. Especially Wave 7, those keep eluding me.
  8. Odd that the card back photos are from the TRU versions. I'm liking the red MAX jet more than the black, I might snag it if I see it. Wasn't there another version of the Delorean that's been shown? That one looks identical to the TRU version, aside from Marty being in his rad. suit.
  9. Very cool idea, I'd be down for doing this to some of mine. That is if I didn't worry about upsetting my daughter's constant need to loan Storm's mohawk to random hairless minimates once a week.
  10. I'm still less than a year into collecting minimates, and the nearest TRU to me is over an hour away, so it hasn't really hurt or helped my collecting. However, I have no ill will towards them getting both exclusives and non-exclusives.
  11. Hoping to find these when I venture down to TRU this weekend. The inclusion of non-Rad suit Marty is a disappointment, but the little DeLorean is still neat.
  12. Fan-fricken-tastic. I was just kicking myself for missing out on a relatively cheap FF box set the other day. Will most definitely be snagging these when they arrive. I concur on the need to do Marvel Best Of waves, the latest Ghostbusters one is entirely made up of sets I missed the first time around, it'll be nice getting a little closer to being caught up on those. It's especially cool that Sue appears to come with both phasing and non-phasing body parts. The Atlantean soldier appears to have one of Cable's guns, sort of an odd choice.
  13. The TRU closest to me (Olympia, WA) had six each of the HB & Lockjaw sets this week. Looks like these are definitely moving out of the hard to find stage. I left them all but snagged the Iron Man wave 2 exclusives that I needed and a lone Old Man Logan& Hawkeye pack that had been warming the pegs for ages.
  14. Yeah the TRU I frequent has a setup like that too. They usually put one case there, and the rest on the pegs near the Marvel Universe figs.
  15. That's a cool bonus, the little extra details are what keep me coming back to these.
  16. For some reason, the nose/eyes on that Wolverine's mask makes me think of the . It's probably just me that thinks that though. Wow yeah, you're definitely not alone on that one.
  17. Very, very interesting stuff shown so far. I'm in for all of the Marvel sets, though the Heroic Age group is more so I can get the new flight stand. The Halo minimates are beginning to garner more and more interest from me as well.
  18. Found both exclusives in Boise today, one stashed Betsy/Lockjaw set and *four* Hulkbusters. Left 3 of them behind.
  19. My "local" comic shop has that set hanging on the pegs for $15, looks like it's been collecting dust for awhile. /local for me is an hour away
  20. Nice, just saw those on clearance at Target last night. It's around $12 as I recall. Hmm, Sinestro would make good fodder for a Bert custom...
  21. Found two full sets of the new GB wave in SW Washington today. No sign of the new Marvel stuff yet, but these will do.
  22. I've actually modeled my own Minimates auctions after your method, so I'm in support of the individual listings. As someone who also buys a lot through various ebay auctions, I tend to completely ignore large lots. However in the case of a highly recognizable set (eg...a complete team or hard to find wave) it's more financially beneficial to go that route. I feel for you on the 91 pictures and listings part. I had 12 to list this weekend. By the time I had decent photos of each and the descriptions built, it was so late in the evening I risked having the auction end when most interested parties would be in bed. A lot of pre-planning would be needed.
  23. As luck would have it, my brother drives by the Bellevue TRU on his way home. He snagged the last Hulkbuster/GammaHulk set for me, no Betsy/Lockjaws left though.
  24. Awesome news, hopefully that means the TRU in Olympia will have some when I get in there to check this weekend.
  25. Animated Arcee? She and Cybertron Ratchet are 3 each to a case, but the demand for her was huge at first.(including with scalpers) Now it's not too hard to find her at a decently updated TRU. Ironhide and Rodimus are going to be even worse come August.
