  1. no not at all i didnt realise until you pointed it out, in doing so it makes me improve hopefully for next time. Thanks
  2. My latest pic. Not really from a film, but i thought it was funny while doing the pic all the same. Sub-Mariner meets 2 of my new minimates... and remembers....
  3. Congrats to GH on his new home, today I got back from Manchester City Centre, where i'd picked up some Minimates from FP. I got the Avengers Box Set with Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Wasp & Giant Man. I also got the Luke Cage/Sentry 2pack as well as the Ms.Marvel & Ultron 2pack. Today has been a good day
  4. I did comment on a couple of your photos on facebook. Its very well put together, thanks for sharing it
  5. Hey guys, I thought i'd stop by and show you my latest Minimate blog entry, I thought it made good sense to go with Green Lantern Corps Arch-Enemy for my second submission. Sinestro I do hope you like it, i should have another entry in a few days time somewhere between 3-6 days from now. I want to make a habit of posting regular to the blog. Please do check back on here or on my blog if your a member click on follow, as i dont think i have any subscribers yet Rich
  6. ooh nice thread, i'm relatively new to collecting these, only begun in december. I have 26 and could probably name them all now  it's only a small number but given time i'd definately say they are addictive, stylish and fun figures to collect. The fact they are so easy to mix n match and create new characters out of them is a big part of the appeal as well as how stylish, small and articulated they are. Actually the fact they are so small and have such good poa still amazes me.
  7. Thanks Ivan That's why I hope my blog will stay updated, because I do update/upload to flickr.com on a regular basis, i thought if i can coincide my flickr uploads with the blog i'll always get a steady stream of blog entries. Would you have a problem with me using images in the future so long as i A) referenced the image and the site (provided links back to your database) credit also asked before using any i was going to use, as through either pm or email? If i got enough readers on the blog and any potential new collectors looking at it, i could redirect them to use this forum and your database too As for the peter parker happy fun time pic... now you got me intrigued... let me see it
  8. thanks mate, i'll add your toy blog to my follow list and comment back, i've been having trouble searchin on blogspot for other toy/action figure blogs.
  9. Thank you for the kind comments so far guys, I've been working on some ideas for my funny pictures thread which i started recently. My next entry for my blog might be up in a couple of days, i'm awaiting the arrival of somethin in the mail.
  10. Yeah thanks for that, i didnt realise it would be a problem since i'm not actually selling anything or benefitting from the display of it, just merely using the image for info purposes. I've removed the Superman picture and replaced it with one of my own instead. What I dont want to do is damage any potentially good friendships before they even start. I've used one of Batman. instead that i took a couple of weeks ago Thanks for the advice.
  11. Hey Guys, I'm fairly new to both Minimates and blogging, so please try and be patient and kind when and if commenting. I recently started collecting Minimates in December of Last year, and at the turn of the new year i decided to give blogging a go. I knew i'd have time to upload pictures to flickr, as well as write a little about each dude I got, so thats essentially what this blog will be about, my collection of minimates and anything about the character behind them. My first entry was an introduction to me and my previous collections and my follow up is my first minimate figure entry which focuses on Green Lantern Hal Jordan figure that comes in the 2pack with Star Sapphire. It can be found over on Blogspot here: superiorville Thanks in advance for any pointers or kind comments and help you can give for any future characters or things to include for my follow up posts. Rich
  12. I got these 2 from ebay just before christmas That takes my total figure tally for minimates to 26. I wish i could of got more in but to be honest with christmas and new year just gone money has been really tight. I do have the superman/darkseid throne room set on the way though and that looks kinda cool.
  13. It's a SONY Cybershot 7.2 Mega Pixel with a Carl Zeiss Lens I also use a tripod to stabilise the camera, the reason the shots look so bright and crisp is because i've placed the figures on white background /paper and used a higher exposure setting to brighten the photo, theres a little cropping and editing going on in the photos using Picassa 3 too
  14. I just added you as a friend on FB, I'll check out the photo album story in a little bit after i finish editing these photos on picassa
  15. Thank You Chazwinski Today I have done this photograph showing Catwoman being Sarcastic to Phoenix
  16. I'm new here.. but considering lifes statistics its always good to celebrate a birthday isnt it? I wish you both a great day, lets hope your family done the smart thing and got you some minimates
  17. Hi, I was just looking at my batcave. I was thinking. If the bricks are essentially the same size as Lego... could i use regular coloured lego bricks to build other buildings and stuff for minimates? I'm not so worried about the holes being in the floor for them to stand on, because i'm half decent at posing figures anyway.. but what I mean is... the scale wont look out will it? I've not been collecting minimates all that long so apologies if my noob question is slighty stupid. Has anyone done any lego buildings out of normal lego and if so is there a thread with pictures in?
  18. Thanks for the welcome, I've added you as a friend on here too
  19. Hey, Here is my latest photograph of Minimate fun. The title and description are pretty self explanatory. I had fun setting these guys up, I wanted to create a small barbers chair for Piotr to sit in, but it didnt look right, and he looks funnier sulking like that on the floor. Hope you like. Whatever is cool with everyone else, I mean its called minimate fun so if people wanna do their own, they can chuck them in here, the more the merrier!!
  20. Thanks guys I really think for the joke to work, people have to know what the Jackass TV Series is about and they will then realise what Magneto intends to do with Professor X  I should also point out that I welcome any suggestions and or comments, as long as they are critical with cause (obviously), I love taking photographs of toy figures. I'm always looking to better myself and learn new techniques. Finally not all my pictures will be from Film/Television, some will probably just funny quotes or scenarios i've thought up and wanted to act out with my minimate figures, naturally some ideas i do have i've been holding back on because i dont have certain characters just yet. This is purely for entertainment purposes and just a tongue in cheek look at the minimate figures. I'll post my next one soon.
  21. I've been thinking about this for a week or so. I thought i'd use quotes or captions to go with films or scenarios that I considered funny. I thought about the fact i only have a handful of minimates, but i do intend the pictures to be funny scenarios that i'd photograph them in. I posted this up on flickr about an hour ago, and thought i'd share it all with you here too. Apologies mods if this is in the wrong forum. Again this isnt intended to offend anyone, just a bit of fun. I do stress that the image will probably not be as funny to you if you have never watched Jackass
  22. ah thanks mate, I shall place it behind the console near the stairs then. At least i know its correct use now!
  23. Hi I just got this playset the other day, I really like it. I have a question, I was putting together the Batcave and towards the end the instructions specifically told me to build this... Futher more, after being built, it just sits away from the batcave, your not asked to attach or firmly place it anywhere? To me, it looks like a satellite, i only say this because of the rotating blue panel on the side. Does anyone know what it is?
  24. Hi I haven't actually started this yet, but my idea would be to create a Tommy Vercetti minimate. He's from the Videogame Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, his character is set in Miami in the 80s. Lets have a looksie at him. Tommy Vercetti When I done the GIJOE custom of him, I knew what parts to use, as I'd already collected GIJOE figures for a substantial time so knew the line quite well. This is what my Tommy looked like afterwards when I finished him. Essentially what I want to do now is shrink this into Minimate form.. problem I dont know the Minimates line that well. So what i'm looking for here is your help and assistance into head/torso/waist/arms/leg parts I could use to custom build my own Tommy Vercetti. You can make full body suggestions or accessory suggestions, basically I'm after any advice that will help me build this minimate. I intend on coming back to this thread at a later date, adding more pictures and obviously when i've completed the work, I will throw down some completion pictures too. Thanks for any help or advice on suggested minimate recipes to use for this character. Richard
