I think they should focus more on the fact that minimates split into little parts. They could have a wolverine minimate (sorry, I know.. I know...) with two different heads, and three different costumes all in one package. Kids love toys with parts they can switch around. Also, on the AA board, I remember someone mentioning each face having two faces, one on each side that you could flip around. That would also be a big draw at mass market, IMO.

I feel that many quick customs require more "out of the box" thinking than painted customs. I have seen many quick customs that have blown me away, and don't even look like a combination of existing parts. I think the comparisson between puzzles and paintings is misplaced. I think a better comparisson might be making a sculpture by combining various materials versus making a sculpture out of clay. In the end, they are both sculptures, and can be quite beautiful.

I will add this site to my website when I update it today. That might help a little too.

Well, I can tell because it causes an unearthly rumble in my stomach. But it is monosodium glutemate on ingredient lists. At restaurants that use alot of it, like Chinese buffets, you can even taste it. But at other restaurants, there really isn't any way to tell until it affects you.

Our plan for world domination has just come one step further...

I used to buy them from my local comic shop. But I stopped shopping there, as the mark-ups became outrageous ($60 for one-per-case Marvel Legends figures). So now I usually get them from AFX when they are having one of their "buy this and get all of this free" sales.
