I think that once we get started, people should be able to choose their monsters on a first-come-first-served basis. If someone is very passionate about doing the Phantom of the Opera, that will lead to a much better custom than if that person was randomly assigned to do Dracula. Not everyone is going to want to do the same custom, and we can always have zombies as an easy back-up choice.

I suppose these could also count as monsters, but they are definitely not as popular: * Headless Horseman * Jack the Ripper * Cyclops (greek mythology) * Medusa (greek mythology) * Minotaur * Yeti * Golem * Gremlin * Troll * A ghost

We might lose some people if customs are randomly assigned and the person either doesn't like their choice, or is uncomfortable with their choice. Just a thought.

I am fine with either zombies or classic monsters. Zombies might make organization alot easier. I think 3-4 weeks would be a fair amount of time. Edit: Also I'm sure there are other customizers who will throw their hat in during the next few days, so maybe zombies is a better way to go.

I say 50% charity, 50% MMV

The classic monsters themselves are not trademarked, only Universal's specific versions of them. Once this gets rolling we should list who we are going to be doing just to be safe. Alien and Predator do not count as classic monsters.

Fujis, how about Classic Monsters for the theme? Creatures such as a mummy, vampire, werewolf, etc.

Mine is also wave 8. I am a huge FF nut. (Or maybe I am just a huge nut? Who knows...)

It is easy to find patterns for things like brick walls and office buildings online. Once you plan out your scenes, I could help find the appropriate images if you want.

Ady, I agree that Shanester has been doing a fantastic job. I hope this doesn't mean you won't be here as often!

You could always print out some set backgrounds on some heavy cardstock paper.
