  1. I collect only BSG Minimates, but I was wondering about Marvel Minimates. For wave 27, will Toys R Us carry these? Or is it LCS only?
  2. Any TRU's in California get Wave 2 in stock?
  3. So are Tory/Anders and Ellen/Simon cancelled from the line? As in, they're not being produced?
  4. My local TRU is sold out of BSG minimates and they had 3 full pegs. If this catches on, maybe there'll be a wave 3.
  5. Does anyone have a picture of the Minimate security guard for the Laboratory Playset?
  6. Why are you hating on dressed-up Husker and old school toaster?
  7. My TRU still has a whole peg and a half full of BSG minimates, but there was only one Cavil and dirty Cylon left. So I snatched it up. So now I have two Cavils Anyone else finding that Cavil is in short supply?
  8. Just stopped by my local "haunted" Toys R Us and BSG is warming 3 pegs. I went to every TRU in a 50 mile radius for 3 weeks straight and now the TRU down the road is stocked with them. Maybe I should've been more patient. But I got mine 3 days before and they're still awesome. They're in the Marvel minimate section. And in the miscellaneous Sci Fi section, next to 7" BSG figs and Star Trek. Get 'em while you can.
  9. I was doing a search for suitable stands/bases for minimates and I ran across your Pantone project. Like everyone else, who posted, it's awesome work. I'm wondering if the LEDs get hot? Would it cause any warpage or discoloration of the Minimate plastic?
  10. So the adulation for the new D'anna, almost, almost got me to buy that pack. But I couldn't go through with it. I don't know, is it just me? I'm not too crazy about the new D'anna pose. Does it even look like Lucy Lawless? The original one at least had cool drawn on cleavage.
  11. TRU in Almaden Valley, San Jose has a single peg filled with wave 1. After harassing the poor TRU employees for the last 2 weeks, I finally got the toys.
  12. I'm sick of going to Toys R Us. There's still no stock at my local TRU.
  13. What's the BSG minimate giveaway at SDCC this year? Also, I've noticed people have been finding the TRU exclusives at the East Coast and Midwest stores, but has anyone gotten them from any West Coast TRUs? I've been looking everywhere for them, I haven't been able to find them.
  14. Do we know, whether these will be available in store?
  15. Thanks for the numbers. I called TRU customer service and they couldn't find the number on their main system. The service rep checked something else and told me that they were sold out. She also said the items were shipped on 6/14.
  16. Can someone who ordered TRU Series 1 post the SKU numbers? I tried calling TRU Customer Service and they asked for the product number. They did a search and couldn't find any Series 1. Only Series 2 and mini flyers.
  17. I went to the Toys R Us website this afternoon to order me some Exclusive Battlestar Galactica minimates and none of the series 1 figures were showing up. Only Series 2 and the mini-flyers. Are they sold out? Canceled? Sucked into a nebula?
  18. I'm trying to order the TRU BSG series 1 from the website, but it's no longer showing up. Only Series 2 and the mini-flyers. Have they sold out?
  19. The Viper looks really different from the one they previewed at Toy Fair. What happened to these?:
  20. "Back from the dead" seems like the wrong title for a BSG thread. Shouldn't it be "BSG Wave Resurrected"
  21. Starting a new topic, because the BSG Minimates cancelled thread is 19 pages long and getting too unwieldly. There's obviously a demand for the last waves of BSG minimates from the heavy response to the cancellation news. I can see why they pulled the plug on the sets. BSG is a niche show on a niche channel. And the minimates are definitely a niche product. On top of that, these last waves of minimates aren't very riveting—the figures look like they could be someone shopping at your local supermarket. Still, I'd buy them, if they were released. Here's my suggestion on how Art Asylum/Diamond Select Toys can release them: 1) Ditch the old distribution channel of independent comic shops and national chains--sell them online as exclusives direct from DST or AA. 2) Don't worry about all that fancy packaging, save cost and throw them in a plastic bag, like at conventions 3) Raise the price to help recuperate costs. Say $25 per pack? $25 for the chase? 4) Limit the run to a lot less than before. Maybe as low as 100. 5) Add some really attractive accessories to overcome the lameness of the figures And how about this as an idea to release the Minimates Vipers (1980 & 2003 versions) and Raiders (1980 & 2003 versions)? They already have the prototypes, so why not cast up some resin kits? Anyone have any other ideas, aside from reducing the number of figures released?
