Well, TRU Wave 5, which includes some of these figures, is confirmed on the shelves. So it's very possible DST has the LCS version in stock. Nice little Christmas surprise, if so.

Ah, thank you, 'MYTE! Mine won't be in for another couple of weeks, so it's good to see these up close. I'm impressed with both figures. Here's hoping Red Stripe comes out as an army builder somewhere.

Haven't heard any reports of a "normal" Spider-Girl yet. As for the number, only DST knows at this point, which is why I submitted it to "Ask DST". So we'll see in a few weeks.

And all for what? Add up the time and effort to do this (two trips the store, remember) for an $8 toy? It's not only wrong and illegal, it's just plain stupid.

Back in the day day when stores opened merely at 5:00 or so, I went that early a couple of years just out of curiosity, to say that I've experienced that bit of Americana. And I learned some things: 1) If you really want to be first on the floor, you have to show up even earlier so you can stand in line for an hour before the doors open. 2) Unless you plan on kung-fu fighting burly, white-trash housewives for those door-buster deals, go a couple hours after the doors open. The regular sale items will still be there and the store environment will be much saner. 3) Considering the hourly rate I charge my clients, no store has yet to offer a sale that makes it worth my time to go anywhere near a mall of any description on Black Friday. If you want to go, only do so for the novelty of it. (Or for Zhu Zhu hamsters. )

eh? I do believe this thread just became confusing. Infinity Gauntlet is arriving at LCS this Wednesday. Secret Wars is a TRU exclusive and reportedly arrives soon (maybe Black Friday), but I'm not holding my breath.

'MYTE, I've never had a brother either, so I can really only surmise how I feel... oh, never mind. All the accessories that came in the packages are pictured, one way or another. Oddly, my LCS did not get the BSG fliers in, so I'm still waiting on that.

Admittedly, I only did a quick scan (sorry, TTF), but I didn't see any minifig Ben 10, just the Bionicle-ish stuff. Which is a shame, since Ben 10 minifigs would be fun for Minimate customizing. (Like I keep musing over the Space Police aliens...)

Here's a picture of Storm that shows some of her pearlessence. Also, you can see that her upper arms are sculpted, not clip-on accessories like the prototype showed. And just because I think it's cool, here's my collection of Spider-Femmes.

Sadly neglected in the recent avalanche of releases, here are pictures of the two new releases in Box Set 2. Gozer has some pearlessence to her, like Moonstone and 90's Storm, although her color is a pale off-white. Note that Winston and Ray are identical to their previous releases, thus no pictures.

These are falling in that "bad period" where my lovely and gracious wife bans me from buying stuff like this for myself as it's "too close to Christmas." However, it wouldn't be the first time I picked out my own Christmas present. so let me ask her if what she had in mind. Just print out Luke's post with his store address scrawled across the bottom. Then leave it laying around the kitchen. That's what I do... which reminds me, I've got some printing to do!

Yeah, it's starting to come back to me now -- there's the trap, which sits under the generated flux field whatever that snags the ghost. But it is triggered by a foot pedal some distance away, connected by a pedal. Now I get what you're saying, k80: the trap Ray carries is in "storage mode."

Isn't the pedal you mention the device on Ray's belt?

Has arrived! Most curiously, GitD Slimer does not come with the stick-stand as depicted on the box. Instead, he comes with... wait for it... the ghost trap! The little box itself clips to Ray's belt and Slimer uses the sprung-trap-energy-burst as a stand. Very cool indeed, a lot stuff (the package is even thicker than normal for a 2-pack; thanks DST! And man, does Slimer glow like a son-of-a-smurf!

Yep, got both waves plus T2 and Ghostbusters goodness all at my Washington state LCS. (And my wallet is weeping...)
