  1. YES! Of course, I'd be down for either as long as it wasn't that horrible green suit he wore at the end of the run. Fun fact, the only Doom 2099 figure available is the red cloaked version as a heroclix.
  2. Fingers crossed one of those 70s characters is Deathlok. Meanwhile, still willing to sell my soul for a Darkhawk, Doom 2099, and/or Sleepwalker figure.
  3. Series Five officially got announced. Check it: https://news.marvel.com/gear-toys/63363/marvel-animated-minimates-series-5-revealed/ That's Hulk Carnage v. Mayday Parker, Ms. Marvel v. Kang, Mark 2 Iron Man v. Proxima Midnight (?!), and a HulkBuster v. The Leader. Fun stuff!
  4. That Bebop looks fantastic! And that Casey Jones harness, with a little finesse, could be a great addition to a Mad Max custom.
  5. In the hustle to figure out what's happening at C2E2, I think this has been lost in the shuffle. This is my rectifying with some good ol'fashioned mindless speculation. I'm thinking the wave looks like this: Iron Patriot (Iron Man Variant) with Spider Soldiers (New Symbiote) Spider-Girl (New Spider-Verser) with Shriek (Never made female villain) Kamala Kahn Ms. Marvel (Never made female hero) with Kang (rarely made villain) Some rando Iron Man (the other Iron Man variant) with The Abomination (Highly requested redo) Pretty reasonable guesses, I think. Personally I would love to see them start to build the Thunderbolts like they did the Squadron Supreme starting in this wave with Citizen V and Mach 5, but I think that's a little too crazy. Hopefully these get revealed at C2E2.
  6. Actually, I'm kinda surprised they haven't made him in the animated line yet. Seems like he'd be a prime candidate for Walgreens seeing as how he's in the movies and what-not. Put him in a classic costume, or at least stripped down from the last version, and pair him with like an Evil Captain America or something. Did we just become best friends? Cause that's a pack I would DIE FOR!
  7. Btw, I found the new wave in Tucson today, but pickings were slim. That is, it took two Walgreens to find'em and then I could only find one of each pack. Good luck out there. Also, any news on when the next wave is going to be announced/released. I love how quickly they come out.
  8. Ha! Always good to find a obscure brother in arms. Glad you like'em. Headsman was a low level villain that appeared for a bit in the Andy Diggle, Dark Reign era Thunderbolts. For that QC I used the hood from a TRU Psylocke, chest from a Wolverine (probably), the Joker's legs, and the arm guards from Chun Li. I've since scrapped him though and used that hood to complete a Swarm QC that I picked up from somewhere else on the forum. And that lady above Ragnarok is Namorita, Namor's cousin and former member of the New Warriors. Last I remember she turned blue (because of some weird Atlantian magic) and ultimately died with all the other New Warriors in the kick off to Civil War.
  9. A year plus later, I got another great quick custom. Well, "great" if you appreciate oft-forgotten, w-level characters as much as I do that is. This time it's everyone's favorite android impersonator, ALBERT The Robot Wolverine. Finally, all them robot parts are working for me. So basically I took an old Wolverine hairpiece (a smooth one before they started adding all the texture), a battle-damaged terminator head (and foot), a Cable body (the one that came with the weird V chestpiece), the shoulderpads from Avalance, The Bionic Commando's arm (and boot), and a thigh piece from the Ultimate Iron Man, threw it in a blender and Bam, Imitation Wolverine. Now if I could just figure out how to make an Elsie Dee...
  10. If you have a Mac, I'd suggest Final Cut X. I mean, i have my issues with it, but if you're looking for something intuitive, cheap-ish, and with some power behind it, FCX is gonna be your jam. It runs about 150 bucks. For cheaper (or free-er) options, I'd look on the App Store and see what kind of apps you can find. I've tried out a few of them and if all you're looking for is a way to stitch some clips together, it's probably what you want. Hope that helps! Good luck!
  11. I'm in for a little mindless speculation: Female Spider-Verser = Spider-Gwen New male Symbiote = Either the Scorpion Venom or Kraven Venom Never made male hero = Citizen V Never made female villain = Moonstone Rarely made male villains = Crimson Dynamo and, I dunno, Mandarin? Looking forward to the real reveal!
  12. Yes, it might be a few years late, but I kinda went nuts with this newest backdrop. I'm both proud and shocked at the depths of my nerd craftiness. Hope you like it.
  13. Like that time Wolverine was kidnapped by the Skulls and replaced by one? Back in Uncanny 375 after half the team got back from a time-twisting intergalactic adventure and their (fake)Wolverine was killed by the new Horseman of Death? It was good times.
  14. Bendis is fine in theory. He has fantastic ideas, generally great characterization, and has a real knack for 'real' moments. Where he fails is in execution. For example, look at Age of Ultron, his big world-ending, time-breaking epic that was a solid three years in the making. After seeding hints about Ultron in his Heroic Age Avengers run and a mystery around an Ultron head in Moon Knight, the big "This is the Ultron Story to end all Ultron Stories" never featured the title character and instead focused on Wolverine's time traveling adventures. He spent so much time taking in the awe of whatever he was trying to do, he forgot to write a compelling story around it. Worse, he totally squandered a fantastic idea for an awesome Ultron Story. And stuff like that happens in all of his work: Secret Invasion spent 5 issues with the characters wallowing around the Savage Land instead of them repelling a Skrull Invasion; House of M would rather spend three pages 'burning out the universe' than showing us the the struggle to set it right; And so on. That is, IMO, what's so bad about Bendis. Back on Topic, I'm really excited for this wave to show up from Luke's. It's so refreshing to see a wave that is both comic focused and features new characters; hopefully there will be more of that in the future.
  15. Jeez, I haven't updated this thread in a while. Crazypants! Whatever. Anyway, I've been tackling a big restructure of my setup and took the opportunity to make a couple of fun QC's I thought you might dig. The first is the breakout star of Contest of Champions (hopefully) Outlaw! Better known as the British Punisher, this guy was tossed together using a Best of Luke Cage head, beanie, and jacket with a dark blue Punisher chest and some kinda jeans. He's gonna look great with my street level heroes. Or maybe next to Union Jack... Hmmm... Anyway, next up is the one I'm REALLY proud of: Hammerhead. Using the body of the Ghostbuster's Mayor, JJJ's vest, the lumpy looking forehead from the TRU Absorbing Man, and an old hairpiece (back before they had the peg in them), he looks like a mob boss ready to start some trouble. I debated about throwing him in a suit (either the green from Daredevil or the blue from JJJ) but ultimately decided I like him with his sleeves rolled and ready for action. Anyway, hope you dig'em! Now I gotta get back to work.
  16. While I still think GotG is a strong contender for this wave, I couldn't help but generate another idea (full disclosure, it's totally influenced by my new, badass Scarlet Spider): A CLONE SAGA WAVE. Check it! Web of Death Spider-Man / White business suit Dr. Ock Web of Life Scarlet Spider / Battle Damaged Venom Kaine / Jackal Peter Parker Clone / Cloning Tank Yeah, that last one is a bit weird, but I think it'd be just crazy enough to work. And plus, imagine building your own massive army of half naked Peter Parker clones. You know, that or an ANAD Marvel wave with Spidey (both). Iron Man, Hulk, Wolvie-23, Ms. Marvel, etc.
  17. That's awesome, man. Congratulations! Goes to show that if you scream long enough into the void that is the internet long enough, eventually someone's going to hear you (and ask you to write about Star Wars toys).
  18. That poor guy. He could see the future, he just didn't know it.
  19. Hey thanks guys! Glad you liked 'em! Btw, digging the scene you got there MM, lots of fun little actions happening. And that drybrushing is genius, youbastards. Makes me want to do it to mine too.
  20. I've been off for the past couple weeks and may or may not have gone a little nuts making some backdrops. The first is every villain's favorite hangout: Josie's (with an inexperienced DD ready to pounce on whoever exits) And the second is just your standard hole in the wall, this one courtesy of Power Man and Iron Fist. (They'll bill for the wall) Hope ya dig it!
  21. NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Whatever. I didn't need another awesome hunk of plastic on my shelf anyway. Leaves more room for minimates, which are better anyway... Stupid democracy...
  22. I couldn't sleep last night and I was hit by a total brainwave regarding this wave: Guardians of the Galaxy. You know, as much as I want a Dr. Strange tinged Supernatural wave (Night Nurse! Baron Mordo! Brother Voodoo! Clea!), GotG just seems much more likely. That said, I can't quite crack what the wave would involve. I'd love to see the DnA team (Space cop Starlord! Mantis! bigger Rocket! Baby Groot!) maybe themed around Annihilation Conquest (Space Ultron!), but I'd settle for any of the Bendis teams, be it the Avengers Assemble version (Classic Starlord! Thanos!) or the ANAD version (Space Thing! Star Lady!). Oh! Also, I was thinking about the 2016 SDCC exclusives (what, too early?) and OH MAN, I really want them to do a Horsemen of Apocalypse set with Wolverine (Death!), Hulk (War!), Caliban (Pestilence!), and Archangel (Uh... Double Death!). I'd buy that set in a heartbeat! What can I say, I was in a mood last night.
  23. You want to know the craziest thing about this movie? One of the leads from my movie makes an appearance. WHAT? I know. Even better, he's featured during Luis' second story (you know the one) as his cousin Ignacio. Super crazy! So crazy, I almost didn't register the actual awesomeness dropped in that scene. The rest of the movie was pretty great, but that was just a great little cherry on top of the whole thing.
  24. I've read all of them (even Marvel Apes vs Marvel Zombies.. Yeesh!). So, the ones worth reading for sure are Dead Days, the first and second series. They're all written by Robert Kirkman (guy has zombies on the brain). The third and fourth are just OK. Personally, I prefer Vols 3 and 4 to the rest of the run. Volume 3 is a great, fun, Robot v Zombies romp, with great appearances by Machine Man and Jocasta. Plus, special bonus for the return of everyone's favorite Darkhawk supporting character Portal as the man running A.R.M.O.R. Volume 4, meanwhile, is misnamed as it's really just an update of the ol' Legion of Monsters team from the 70s. Big crazy supernatural fun with manphibians run amok and an appearance of your second favorite Deathlok knockoff, Siege. So much more fun than the original series. It's a shame they were quickly forgotten about.
