  1. Bought via a AA member, never appeared locally.
  2. No, and general view when discussed previously was that we won't because it's too late. http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.php?showtopic=141
  3. Torn. Blister is more customer grab, but the Marvel 2-pack boxes are just so.... perfect IMO for Minimates
  4. Sole local convention has been and gone, Supanova Brisbane in April, so I'm already done.
  5. Torn between Nightwing or Batgirl. The Miniflyer mates beat the living daylights out of all the wave 1 C3 stuff.
  6. comics transformers But both a fraction of the levels I once engaged in, comics I'm down to one title (She-Hulk) a month. Probably minimates are the only thing that I can say to be truely collecting nowdays
  7. Wow, I'm the only person whose sure to go back... Probably a comment on my work, but I have a lot of spare time to waste on the web and visit a metric crapload of forums of various topics daily to pass the time, so I guess I get less offended about forums I visit in snapshot bites. And I actually moderate on a forum with faaar stricter rules than AA, robotech.com, so that doesn't bother me that much either.
  8. I got an She-Hulk one a few years back, not one of these new ultimate ones, but then She-Hulk product is as rare a hens teeth to begin with.
  9. Black Costume Spider-man = Instant killer app that got me to see Minimates as more than just lego knock-off, but didn't convince me to collect. Waves 4 & 5 did that. I'm a one of each guy also, the boxes making it easy to keep them mostly complete while accessable, with my blister slicing method doing much the same for the earlier stuff. Due to the appearance of C3 wave 2 in Australia I've also started to collect and snap up extras for trading purposes (such as the Mini-Javs and Batcycles) but only really cherry picking for cases or what specific trades require.
  10. Batcopter is definately rarer, but for many people Martian Manhunter is desired mate so Mini-Jav is arguably more popular where the Batcopter is main desired due to it's rareness
  11. Maybe, but where would that put the 2.5" body type? Also in the 2" scale we've seen variation in construction styles that may be better usage for gen 1/2/whatever
  12. Leader. It may be the fact that every example I've bought has been universally f-ed (reversed joints, worst paint aps) or just a foul color scheme, but just hate him, and I want to like him for his unusual noggin
  13. Another vote for Captain America, double when the new heavier chainmail version comes out.
  14. I offer two conflicting suggestions, blister packs vs. blind packs Blister packs as Shanester pointed out allow people to see the toy. It's one thing to see a picture of toy, but does the Big Mac you get look like the one on the signs really? Blind packs would be an artifical way to bump up sales and hopefully inspire "gota catch'em all" collector mentality, even if collectors like us would bleed from our ears in reaction. But main stumbling block is that DST isn't really a mass-market toy producer, at least not in the way Hasbro or Toybiz are, so even for non-limited/exclusive items like Minimates production runs are dwarfed by mass-market like Marvel Legends. Minimates will never be mass-market if there aren't produced in mass-market numbers.
  15. Damnit! Stark, get out those brainwashing secret identity erasing death sats of yours again mate.... I could live with other recent changes to that character in question, but.... not that that. Having an secret id is key IMO. Damnit!
  16. No objection to banner ads, but no pop-ups please.
  17. No offense, but rather similar to talk that the DVD release would save the Batman Begins mates and X3 hasn't been half as well received as it was... Boat well and truely missed.
  18. Ebay or via forums like this. Local stores suffered through a glut when they over ordered early Marvel waves/C3 wave 1 and won't touch mates anymore
  19. Gotta keep a hot chick for Wave 3...
  20. Booster = Win 'course now I don't really have anybody else to look forward to, everybody else are really long shots (Animated/Peter David not the present Supergirl impossible in comic not cartoon line)
  21. After the wait between waves I guess most of us were wanting more effort put in, in both character selection instead of "what is the easiest characters to get Marvel to sign off on" and being shorted on paint apps and parts. Not that we won't buy them... just...
  22. I actually hope so because only thing worse than no mates out there is a glut that retailers can't shift and make them avoid future releases.... like all the local retailers here...
  23. Booster Gold = Win now if he can just survive 52...
  24. Bombermate, but I also have a fondness for the FCBD mate, mainly because the one I've released from packaging ironically is one of the tightest jointed, trouble free mates I've ever encountered
