My first Mates were the Jessica Drew Spider Woman and Riot Spiderman 2 pack from Target and they were on clearance for 3 bucks!

Some other people have posted that some of the G.I. Joe weapons work and since those are pretty much like the Joes scale wise I don't see why not. Personally I don't think all of the accesories will work because they will look a little too big but there are a few I am condsidering getting.

I favor the ST:TNG and the later shows simply because I grew up with them. I have tried giving BSG a shot but it just never reeled me in. I plan on getting the mates because they look cool but that's about it.

Agreed! If you wait until the figures come out you will be able to get a FFF for cheaper than all of the figures put together. Just Like when Apocalypse, Sentinel, and Giant Man came out, there were tons of them online loose for about 30 to 40 bucks. Just up to you if you are willing to pay it......I would given the size of the figure and how good they look posed with your other figures.

Have you seen the Alien Agency playsets: http://www.toymania.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi The mobile recovery unit and hangar 18 look like a cool S.H.E.I.L.D. base. But what I like about the other sets is when you turn them around they look like normal buildings and may help you out with what you are trying to do . And also try looking up the Mega Bloks Command Ops playsets. Now I don't own any of these and I have heard alot of people saying they suck but I think they look awesome. The only problem is finding them online for cheap since I think these came out in 2002.

Yeah, I ordered those from that guy last week. Total shipping was, I think, 9 bucks. Meaning I got both of those sets for under $20. In my opinion, that's a pretty good deal for the mates and the flying Superman thing. Cool! Yeah I can't wait for the flying thing! I wish they were sold seperately, they could make a killing!

I kinda need some assistance from anyone who collects C3 sets. I was doing my daily Ebay search and I came across the Supes & Darkseid Throne Room set for 4.99 + 6.00 shipping. I tried Googling to see the comparison pricing on it and only saw 24.99 and one for 15.00 bucks. So I'm guessing I got a good deal, right? Thanks! Reason I ask is because until recently I have been strictly Marvel Mates, and I am just getting into DC. All I really know is that they don't make C3 anymore.

Man tell me about it! I HATE that 60' hairdo they put on Sue! I tried the newer Emma Frost hair piece which looks ok. But I would really to get Six's hairpiece for her.

Yeah you can tell from the pic it's 'wifebeater Tony" underneath. That's cool! I'm wondering if the parts are going to snap on or have little pegs to attach onto him. That'd be cool if they just clipped on so you could use those other pieces for other customs...

Just a friendly correction! I think you meant to say Lyja. Lilandra is actually a member of the Shi'ar Empire and was involved with Professor X. But I agree, I kinda had the same idea and was thinking of drawing in the Skrull chin features with a very fine sharpie.

I knows some of you are going to think "he paid way too much" but i have never had an oppurtunity to buy them outright for less than 25 to 30 bucks or win them on Ebay without some rat bastard waiting until the last second to outbid me... But I won Thunderbird and Rogue for 15 bucks each. And my now best friend was strolling through Target a awhile back and found the Dark Phoenix and blue suited Prof. X for 2 bucks!! He didn't even know I collected Minimates and said he just thought since he'd never seen "those kinds of toys before" he thought I'd appreciate them. That's what I call a friend.....

a.Then DST is accused of putting out another boring 'mate with nothing going for it but paint apps. They're damned if they do, damned if they don't. b.She is essential to the X-Men, who else would Colossus go out with? c.I mean, it's impoissible to show phasing unless DST makes an armless minimate, so just show them normal and give Kitty a good costume for her power troubles. Ok, three points I felt I needed to make: a.I agree, DST at least tried, which is more than we can say for some of their other releases that just straight up REALLY bad. (I bought them anyway )....... b. probably other dudes. he "came out" in some issue of ultimate x-men, (anybody else read that?) c. the only thing i could have thought of after she was released was a including like a small suction cup you could stick into her upper torso and stick on a surface so it looks like half her body was coming through when you wanted to use that effect and then when you are done just pop it out and put her legs back on. What do you think? (yes, I have too much free time......)

I think it will really look like the savage she hulk from the old days i see where you are coming from with that, because i have looked and have not yet found a good enough dark green color that would look good with the shade of green her body is.....

welcome, i'm trying to get into customizing myself a bit here soon. So far this place has the best collection of talent and ideas that i have seen so far!

i am totally jumping on the band wagon and getting one. i actually built this kit when i was like 12 or 13 and it broke. someone please confirm the original did not go all the way around right? and i will need two kits to do a 'full' bridge.
