I agree Box does look great!

After seeing todays custom con entry I think its easy to forget that we as fans were in it to make the characters we really like or don't have (yet). DST on the other hand as devoted as they may be to the fans (and I do think DST shows serious fan devotion) are in it to make money. I see a lot of good figs in this wave and the classics wave. I for one am just happy to see this line going so strong that they feel the need to do something like a classics wave. Going into year 10 with as much strength as this brand is showing right now its hard to remember it has seemingly been at the brink of death a number of times. (Anyone remember the Ghost Rider movie wave that was cancelled due to "lack of interest") Heres hoping for another 10 years of Minimates and ALL it brings!

WOW, And I do mean wow. I am slack jawed by this group of customs. If we were to get an official wave that looked half as good as these I would be delighted. You really hit a home run with this set. Very nicely done.

My favorites from the summer in no particular order. Captain America, I let myself get very, very excited for this movie and it did not disappoint me in any way. Loved it zero complaints. X-Men: First Class, Had zero expectations for this one and it really knocked it out of the park. Great character development. This movie actually turned Magneto into one of my favorite Marvel baddies. Final Destination 5, I love this series, easily the best horror franchise to hit the scene in the past 20 years. I don't want to spoil it for any one who has not seen it but I gotta say. Single best sequel tie in I've ever seen. The end had me howling with laughter when they gave up the reveal on the twist. Just awesome! Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Best movie to happen to this franchise since the original. Awesome re-boot I hope this franchise continues with this story line. Lithgow was spectacular in this. The Bad: Transformers 3, Wow I mean I could hardly sit through this. The first 2 I admit I really kind of enjoyed. In fact they really surprised me with how good they were. I couldn't help thinking the 3rd one fell flat on its face. Green Lantern, GL is easily one of the 2 characters I really enjoy from DC (Flash is the other) and I do applaud DC for making a go of it in the movie realm with some body besides Supey or Bats. This fell down 100% though, total suck. Cowboys vs. Aliens, Wow for all the big time talent in this flick, total disappointment. The story was thin and the pacing was very slow with lack luster performances from everyone involved. Fail.

Wow spectacular parts use on the Baron! I love WW lasso as the shoulder braids and the reuse of penguins head is inspired! Really, Really nice makes me want an official one in a bad way.

X-Factor. And it was/is gloriously quirky. PAD is best when he can write off-beat characters. That said, I'd love to see him take a stab at one of the A-teams. Maybe the Academy book. I forgot about His working on X-factor, That is good stuff,. Now I want a PAD Avengers book even more, lol

that Thing is spectacular! I like the look of that quite a bit vs the bulked up version we have, I like that bulked out look for the mega rage Hulk but it just doesn't seem to fit Thing.

I'm not current with up and coming talent. But I have always wanted to see what Peter David could do with the Avengers. His run on the Hulk is on of my all time favorite comic runs. I also can't recall Peter working on a team book before.

thinking about sleeved arms for crossbones. some combo of the spirit upper arm and BD spirit lower would probably work nicely for a factory paint parts swap option.

I would doubt it Gillbob but anythings possible, I've been to both frequently the past week and a half and seen nothing of real interest they both seem to have gone through the MvC stuff recently. last year these hit scatteredly the weeks before x-mas and then were everywhere in force the week after

As far as I remember the one team member absent is Dani Moonstar and I think if you took black widows belt, a new mutant body, shockers boots and for a face and hair well she is an american indian so if it was me I think I would take a look at the long hair pieces in black, X-23 might be a good fit and maybe sans saref or the cylon babe from the BSG stuff I think her name was Tori both have darker skin tones. At least thats where I would start for a no paint QC as for a run down on the team I will wait for our resident expert to make a showing for that.

The price of comics has also put me out of touch.I go to the comic store and basically skim through most of the comics.I only stumble on info while searching the web.Like right now...I didn't even know he lost his cloak. I feel ya', it's what makes the digital subscription so appealing.

Those both look great. That's the Doctor's current look? If so I think you could sign me up for one of those. I'm not seeing his Eye or Cloak I'm guessing he hasn't gotten those back from Brother Voodoo yet. I'm kind of out of touch with current Marvel

is this the same "night of the comet" with the gal who is in the shielded radio station or whatever when a comet comes passing by and wipes out the population? If so I would kind of like to see a list of some of your other favorite "scientifically accurate docu-films"

Now that thought I agree with completely. The only reason I'm even considering it is because I have been kicking around the idea of signing up for a subscription to MDC already this may be the excuse I need to pull the trigger. Hopefully they will reissue Nick on a regular MU card in the future instead of the silly box he comes in.

really? I mean if we need to get a character variant as an exclusive I kind of think this one is pretty classy. I also like that they used artwork from the cover to secret wars for the card art. I was actually giving serious thought to selling off the Doom I have in favor of the Victor variant

I'm always on the fence on this debate. In the end it generally comes down to how much I enjoy the package vs. the toy. My Minimates I open without a second thought or minutes hesitation. My MU figs I just love those cards and hang them on the wall. But in either case the decision is never really based on future value. My vote, sounds like you have a great time with your play area.. err "Display" so tear into that bad boy.

Finally landed a spare Nick Fury body and came up some updates for myself. I am really excited about the 616 S.H.E.I.L.D. army builders for Nick and Co. to command. Dum Dum is clearly just a head swap we've all talked about, Special agent Sharon Carter is a head swap onto the movie Black Widow body and Nick is sporting eddie brocks leather jacket. One arm was swapped off of the black widow body onto nick to put a Sheild insignia on his jacket. Thanks for looking
