  1. Hmm I missed this as well 1- Classic Cylon 2- John Stewart 3- Target Iceman ^ I agree Neo but I say to hell with Kyle he can wait. Bring on Salikk!
  2. one word... KILOWOG! really he's my favorite GL oh happy days abound!!! is it just me or does Guy have a little Lee Adama thing going on? (Hey there chubbsy wubbsy)
  3. YESSSSS! Avengers Assemble!!!! droooool, I SAY! DROOOOOOL!!!!!!!!! oh my god the end of the week is going to be forever coming to see the full line up. Dare I hope for a vision and scarlet witch? I don't know if its really coming across here, but I just couldn't be happier about this annoucement. I mean really I feel like I just won the lottery!!!!!
  4. Ya' know I think I would be all over a Ghostbusters line. It would be bound to have some killer accesories. Proton packs for everyone! and if there was ever a "villan" made for mates its the stay-puft giant.
  5. Vote is in. but to be honest I would do my level best to make time for this at any given point in the week.
  6. nice I'm up and running in there. do we have scheduled chat times?
  7. I'll confess my first visit here revolved around a contest (in fact my first post is a contest entry) since then I've really come to enjoy the exchange of creativity and comradery (spelling?) that happens here. This is my first go at taking part in any kind of board or forum and I do love coming here on a daily basis to read new posts and such. Hats off and many thanks to Ady and the staff for the fine envoirment they've created and maintain here at MMMV!
  8. I love minimates because they give up a uniformed look to a variety of different heroes I don't really buy other lines because the figures can wind up looking so different from one another. I also really enjoy the simplistic design, I've always loved simple toys.
  9. Love 'em! I am kind of a (insert favored trek fan term here) I'm going to guess that won't surprise to many of you, lol My trek of choice is by far and away TOS its what I grew up with. I really like the choices they've made but I'm sorry theres no nameless red shirt for away team adventures fatalities. poor scotty I imagine he will be decapitated many times
  10. I like the idea of on site blogs it might be fun to see the inner workings of some of the customizers here. In the end my favorite aspect of this place is the creative mix that happens with everyone. I've got my magic carpet bag of tricks and the like I use but its always nice to get new/different ideas that might be a good way for people to share and gain inspiration and new techniuqes. *edit* I agree if theres just the 2 of us that have interest please don't waste the cash
  11. ^^ Mr. Monkey is right I did suggest that idea to him (albiet during a heavy coffee buzz) my thought was along the lines of seeing the phasing trick used with both shadowcat and johnny storm. I seem to remeber Moon Knight fading into the shadows and what not (along the lines of nightcrawler hiding in shadows) shadowcat doesnt dissapear either but there she is with see through limbs and I've never seen the Torch get so hot he became transparent but none the less we have a see through JS fig. Hats off to Aapje for giving it a shot. Keep at it monkey! BTW try a head made from black plastic so you can put the cloak on with out the scraping up a paint app.
  12. After thinking about this line for a bit I think I would be all over a Jack/Nina 2 pack (Nina complete with some kind of needle in the neck feature) I was so hopeful we would get a "showdown" season with the 2 of them facing off against each other but alas it was not to be. Good grief I almost forgot greatest accesory ever Jack comes with a mason bag containing a head... Nice

  14. It's also very likely to not get answered and possibly make DST less likely to agree to future Q&A's. I thought you guys would have got the idea behind this by now, light fluffy and fun. DST are not going to give away big secret's or answer anything thats deemed offensive or just plain stupid. and dont give me the " well what's the point in having a Q&A then" reply because you guys have seen how these have worked in the past and know what to expect... Stop building the castle on the swamp! T. You know, on one hand I see your point, but on the other, not asking it might not let them know that the "money saving" plans weren't big with the fans. Maybe reword them to ask very nicely why the side decals weren't there? No matter how fancy the phrasing a slam is still a slam.
  15. In the past weeks I've seen alot of talk about BAF mates packs after alot of thought I have to admit the pprospect of this makes me shudder. any thoughts on a mail away premium fig (buy a wave and send in the UPC's) just curious as to which might be more likely to happen if any
  16. GAHH I love em all the hulk buster rocks and I love the hall, nice stuff!
  17. I... MUST... have.. these.. the classic Raider looks super!
  18. great looking stuff, nice and clean (mental note to self: must start making decals)
  19. If I had the funds (or a trade opportunity) I would opt for the classic version its what I grew up with and I think they just make for a better looking block fig than the modern version, visualy they seem to fit the "theme" of the figure style better
  20. I really like the touch up on daredevils billy clubs (I'm shaking a bottle of silver paint right now) and I like your "buffed up" idea it seems a shame it blots out the DD logo on his chest though, maybe a thin white or dark red highlight line to bring it out a bit not a complete outline just enough to bring out the double D like a shadow if that makes sense. I wouldn't mind seeing that Hawkeye mask done up in a classic style but thats just my taste for the silver age shinning through. Nice work, keep at it!
  21. I'm curious to see pics of this as well
  22. The prototypes I saw at the comic co.. err wizard world only sported a 2.5 Killer Croc prototype all the others looked to be 2" figs for whatever its worth.
  23. I have been VERY lucky with these figs, Ive found everything I've got on clearence for $2.00 or less! as for bad joints the thinner figs use a ball joint system similar to microman figures the only one I've gotten that I have some dissapointment with has been the Thing The sculpt and paint are great but his joints are so loose he hangs in your hand like a limp rag doll other than that I've been thrilled to pieces with these (for a 1.70 a pop its hard not to be) I grew up with Marvel toys made for the most part by MEGO anybody who remebers this stuff or has collected it knows those toys suffered in quality in various ways poor paint, sub-standard materials, etc. so the stuff we get these days always seems to be great to me maybe I just have low expectations of toys. Does any one have any expierence playing the game? My nephew has expressed some interest in playing I was wondering if any one may have developed some variant rules to make it a little more workable the rule book seems less than clear to me.
  24. I don't know about Tony but it fits in my hand just right! in addition to what Dragon mentioned some playmobile stuff works out pretty well sometimes. This part will sound more than a little crazy, I don't have any but I know a company called Futura (Furtura?) (they put out those fabulous Star Trek ships a few years back) make tiny household items i.e. plates of sushi, bottles of saki, I think there might be a tea set, etc. While any of that would have a Asian flavor to it (sorry for the pun I've never actually tasted these toys) from the pics I've seen those items would fit well with Kubrick size figs so I think they would fit with mates as well By the way "Booze hound Tony" looks great
  25. print a hard copy and do it the old fashioned way or I use photoshop for that but I imagine you could just as easy turn it into a bitmap and work it from there without having a photoshop type program I've seen something mentioned called "the gimp" I don't know where to find it but I'm led to believe its similar to photoshop Hope this helps.
