  1. I want the DCUC Plastic Man, 25th/ME Sgt. Slaughter, and the two X-related Marvel Minimates sets myself. I think Plastic Man will probably the hardest of the group to get online after the SDCC knowing how great Mattel's online store is when it comes to ordering.
  2. Well, I got a new Iceman minimate. Wasn't easy to come by, but it's all good now. It seems I must have a blue tint one though since the one I got says it's blue tinited and it does like my old one have a bit of a blue to it. I'm guessing the wave 11 clear then is totally clear? ANyone have all the Iceman mates and can prove it? I've seen blue tinted Icemans in pics before where they're a really good clearish blue, but seriously, the two I've got are very light blue.
  3. I'm wondering here... I was simply moving my clear Iceman from wave 11's left leg when the knee joint area broke off. Now I could generally just slap another clear character's leg in its place maybe, but I noticed the plastic used on him has a very slight blue tint. I know there is a blue tinted Iceman out there, but I looked at him in pics and he seemed a bit darker then the one I have (which was bought from stuckakid ages ago). So I'm wondering if the clear Iceman from wave 11 is supposed to have a slight tint to it and not just straight up clear. I'm looking for replacements, but every one listed on ebay is claiming to the rare blue tint one and charging a hefty price. Otherwise, is there a way to maybe push out the broken knee joint parts to replace them with a fixed one? Thanks to any whom can help on this.
  4. Just once I would love to go...but this year is the one year I REALLY would like to go. I SO want a lot of exclusives offered this year, but doubt I'll find anyone going that is willing to try and get any of them for me along with whatever they're going to get for themselves... DC Universe Classics Plastic Man from Mattel G.I.Joe 25th/ME Sgt. Slaughter from Hasbro 90's X-Men, X-Force Marvel Minimates sets from DST/AA I got someone last year to get me the Wonder Twins aith Gleek last year, but I haven't seen or heard from them since.
  5. Anyone interested in Nodoka from K-On...there is a site I was recently introduced to called Tokyo Hunter where the guy on the site will get you rare/exclusive Japanese stuff for a reasonable price. Sadly Nodoka won't come til November as while she'll be offered this July at Wondercon, she will also be offered again online around November. The Wondercon ones I guess are not guaranteed unlike the later release dates. I hope Figma makes Miss Sawa-chan to complete the cast (unless they also feel like making Jun)
  6. We're so much closer to completing the 90s X-Men as well as Excalibur with 90s Professor X here and the 90s X-Men boxset having Bishop and Jubilee, I hope to somehow maybe see 90s Colossus/Forge...Mr. Sinister/Omega Red...and a Nightcrawler/Meggan sometime soon. Maybe wave 38? ^_^
  7. Got the TRU exclusives today and the mail just delivered the figures I ordered from wave 36. Awesome day for Minimate collecting. XD Modern Mandarin is especially cool even if he can't put down his arms with his cloak on. LOL
  8. So...basically the 'so we don't confuse kids' kinda angle maybe? ^_^
  9. I'm guessing the Northtown TRU must have put the Minimates out way late yesterday since I asked about them, they told me they were out on the floor, but none were seen, and I go back today and NOW they have a spot on the shelf. Managed to get the last ones of each of the exclusive sets. Plenty of the two Iron Man sets though. Forgive my lack of major Marvel knowledge but why is it Betsy Braddock and not 'Psylocke' on the box? Did she not go by her codename when wearing this outfit? Otherwise, two psychic blades is awesome to see. The big events are obviously Lockjaw and HB Iron Man though. Lockjaw is just so surprising to see done in a Minimate form, or any figure form for that matter really. HB Iron Man though is HUGE and bulky. He stands out, but in a good way. Definitely shows a way they could do an awesome Juggernaut update with the helmet thing.
  10. Which TRU did you find them at? I was going to hit the Bloomington store on saturday. The one by Northtown Mall, in Blaine. WHAAAAAT!?!?!? I was there this morning? Where did you find them!? They told me they were on the floor and I didn't see them anywhere I looked!
  11. My closest TRU had nothing despite the lady saying they had like 14 of the Marvel Minimates on the floor. I looked all over the aisles and so unless they stuck them in some section you'd never think to look such as the LEGOs or car aisles. Do they bunch all Minimates under 'Marvel Minimates' in their computer maybe? They had a ton of Ghostbusters and a few Battlestar Galactica ones on shelves...
  12. I hope my TRU store has these tomorrow, but doubt knowing my luck. They normally seem to stick new MM in the aisle where all the specialty stuff from NECA and so on are despite them having a MM tag in the Marvel toy aisle, but way off in the Phineas and Ferb section. O_o
  13. When these first came out, I collected most of the regular versions of the cast of Haruhi Suzumiya and then Lucky Star. Now I'm working on the K-On! cast. I have Ritsu so far, and Yui and Mugi are coming in the mil along with Figma Drossel.
  14. If I could have found a 1st appearance Angel/Multiple Man set, I'd have gladly let someone have the Multiple Man as one is enough for me, just so I could complete the original X-Men team. I generally don't troop build beyond the two of a figure given I usually get the variant in a wave as well.
  15. ? BBTS= $28.99 for a set with variant Sci-Fi Genre= $36.39 for a set with variant They're cheaper if you're buying just single packs I should have pointed out there.
  16. I just ordered wave 36 off Sci-Fi Genre, which has them saying 'In Stock' already. Hopefully get the Modern Mandarin as I don't really want the classic and don't need to army build Dreadnought as I'm not super familiar with the character. Still way cheaper on Sci-Fi Genre even then BBTS has the Mates, which is nice since I've bought from them a number of times as well. Also, why change the variants now? They already had pics in package with the classic mandarin clearly saying 'VARIANT' on the side of the package.
  17. The only thing about Professor X that bugs me is his face. Looking at the other 90s X-Men Minimates we got, you can still see a hint of Jim Lee's work in their faces. Professor X here shows no hints of that, he resembles more of a customizer's created face to me.
  18. Hmm... Nice to finally see what we were told was to be in this wave, but like other people have said... No custom head for Lizard? I guess we're going for a combo of modern meets classic Lizard or something there for why? Least he has a tail. Glad to see Professor X's hoverchair, but something seems off about the Professor X figure itself... Maybe the face not looking very Jim Lee-ish next to the other 90s X-Men, or that he isn't wearing the outfit that went better with the chair... Thing is definitely WAY more bulked up then he was previously. I kinda like it, but his face needs rocky details too if they're going to go with this. Six-armed Spidey is a nice plus as it opens up chances to get Spiral and Doppelganger now down the line...if it works out okay given the piece needed to emulate six arms... Doombot looks good too, they didn't get lazy and just make Dooms with different heads or anything...though why Doom though pink was menacing on his bots... Warpath adds to the modern X-Force we have going. Now deliver Archangel, Wolfsbane, Elixir, Vanisher, and Domino and we're good.
  19. I have more of a problem being worried about his swords as the way they have it so they can be stores on his back just feels kinda...unsafe. Like they'll just warp. Standing wise. Haven't really tried. Right now most of my mates are in a box for now. Too much stuff for display.
  20. Considering I don't have the previous Iron Fist minimate released (I have the Power Man from an order a while back), I would definitely buy that set for modern versions of him and Luke Cage, the ladies would just add icing to the cake. XD
  21. Wolvy's suffering from 'Youngblood's Disease'...and kudos to those whom get that term. ^_^
  22. Or chuck a Mez-it or Blammoid at the back of his head yelling out "These things suck, bring back the DC Minimates!", and then running before security shows up.
  23. If it is because of the Iron Man 2 minimates that the others have to suffer, I'd rather not have Marvel movie minimates as aside from a few of the Iron Man mates, I've avoided the movie related stuff whenever released. I'm sure there's reasoning behind them, more money maybe being given by the higher ups to make these or something, but really... I actually was liking the insane amounts of stuff we were getting in Marvel Minimates with details. I look back on the older minimates and just think they look too plain now... Comparing Ultimate Wolverine to one of the more modern ones for example, or the first yellow costume Wolvy to the most recent made one... I know there's the arguement of having less detailing versus having all sorts, but to me, less detailing makes them almost just pumped up LEGOs. I like that Cable has his huge shoulderpads or Deadpool comes with a ton of weapons, and even the way more detailed hairpieces being given to the characters now. It makes these things look way more awesome and 'pop' more to the eye unlike something like Mighty Muggs or Mez-its...or worse Blammoids...
  24. I'm happy to see a 90s Jubilee and Bishop as it brings us two more steps closer to a complete 90s X-Men (though a 90s Colossus, Forge, and 90s Banshee would fully complete it I feel) I do hope these proto-type pictures are just that...prototypes. As I recall the X-Force Cable shown in prototype form was missing it's chest details as well before the actual version we all got had the tampos actually on him. So for Jubillee, hopefully that will be the same. I also do agree that Jubilee and Bishop deserve their own unique hairstyles rather then reuses. Jubilee most of the time seemed to have her glasses atop her head. Bishop of course needs a mullet, but also it would look much better if he had a sculpted handkerchief. I mean come on DST/AA, you gave Cable sculpted gear up the butt (the first 90s X-Force one), a handkerchief can't possibly break the bank for you can it? I'm sure you could get some reuse out of it somewhere down the line again too. As far as the other two mates... I agree that we should have gotten an updated brown costume WOlverine instead of a battle-damaged one since he did wear the brown costume briefly in the 90s Jim Lee X-Men comics before they switched it back to the yellow. Magneto is from the 80s...so calling this a 90s X-Men boxset is a bit odd if that's it's offical title or anything. A Forge, Banshee, or new Colossus would make more sense and save Mags for an 80s X-Men set or something.
  25. This. Right here. This would make my day, and my wish of a complete 90s X-Men in csome form complete.
