  1. I'd rather finish off the other FF set with Doom and powered-down Sue than start a new black & white uniformed team. The Allred team could make for interesting mates, but they're no X-Statix or anything. And I really hope these books will be from the Fraction that writes Iron Man, not the one who wrote Fear Itself -- after Hickman's run my expectations for those titles is pretty (probably too) high...
  2. Picked this up the other day too, only other set I've bought was the X-Wing a couple years ago but this thing was just too fun to pass up, even with Lego pricing going a bit crazy this year. Also grabbed the little desert skiff set so I could fill up the throne room a bit more, with Lando, Fett, etc.
  3. Putting that Mega Man together kind of made me appreciate him all the more, one of my favourite figures really, they totally captured the great simplicity of his design. And he looks great next to Samus, it's like an arm cannon convention.
  4. Really glad AmiAmi started using SAL Small Packet Registered, they say to expect 2-5 weeks on the website but I got my Samus in 4 days I think? Just as fast as EMS and half the price.
  5. Can't speak for Dino, but I was referring to the game not the character in my post -- and if we're going to get picky it's "Pit" not "Pitt"
  6. Between this and Groundhog's Iron Spidey, my dislike of slip-on masks is making me very jealous today -- nice score TBT!
  7. Never played this one as a kid, but looks like Kid Icarus is up next. I can kind of remember him from the Captain N cartoon. Hope they keep this up, I want a Zelda and a Fox McCloud.
  8. My LCS, Diamond started shipping them out last week. Don't have the receipt handy, probably a couple bucks more than the US MSRP, which is $17 I think? Stuff usually gets marked up a bit in Canada, even during the times our dollar is basically at par.
  9. Picked up the Classics today, managed to find all of them without the crazy eyes except Donatello, I don't know if literally every one of him out there is cross-eyed, but the nice LCS guy even looked through a second case in the back for me and they were all way off. Looks like I'll also be grabbing some paint when I go buy that clear coat stuff for Lion-O's belt Other than that, these are pretty awesome figures! I'm never too concerned about articulation, but the amount on these guys is kind of nuts -- you can actually bend each toe and finger individually. Really, really hoping we get a second wave with Shredder, April, Splinter... if they NECA this up, it will be the opposite of tubular.
  10. No more announced yet as far as I know, but fingers crossed. Got my Samus on Monday, she's pretty fantastic in person. Wish she came with a little Metroid accessory instead of the morph ball though.
  11. Yeah sorry, by scale I just meant I'd need him to be the size of either the old or new MP Prime.
  12. I think he's pretty good, lower legs look a bit weird to me but still better than MP Megs' crazy skinny legs. Would've needed to be Masterpiece scale for me to shell out for one though...
  13. My store had three turtles left -- one had badly cross-eyed pupils, one had pupils that had been painted over with another layer of white for some reason but still kinda showed through (beneath the final pupils which were printed higher on the eye), and one had perfect eyes but a small gouge in his thigh. I probably would've bought the gouged one, it wasn't super noticeable, but I want all four or none.
  14. My LCS ordered 12 cases of the Classics figures but Diamond only delivered one, so just 45 minutes after they opened there were only a couple left with bad QC. They looked like good figures anyway, if you can find some that don't have bad paint. Hope my store gets the rest of their order filled next week...
  15. You say that like It's a bad thing. Nope, I voted Warwolves.
  16. There were thousands of them cloned I think, but only five that became characters in the X-books, and I think three left these days? Even at three they'd be a more appropriate army builder than Nimrod was really. The Warwolves would have been a pretty limited army builder too. EDIT: Thinking about it, I wonder if the number of people that would buy 3-5 Cuckoos might ultimately outweigh the number of people who buy dozens of an "unlimited" army builder? I don't do much army building, but having a small, set number would make me more likely to pick up multiples.
  17. Where did we see a flame-off Johnny? I thought the design sheet and proto were both (mid) flame-on?
  18. Only got two I voted for, and only one of those I really cared about -- but I didn't expect any of my faves to make it really, and that one is Songbird who so many were so positive would be dead last in her category I was beginning to doubt, so I'm pretty happy with the results! Good to hear Rogers may show up soonish too. Wow, nice result!
  19. If he's in the title, we'd have to see him in the accompanying comics wave, right? Right?
  20. Dragon Man is one of my favorite characters in FF right now, he'd make for an great mate. The fire/invisible bases and Alicia are making this an even better wave than I thought, always happy to see more civilians.
  21. Yeah, thanks for the report! Suggesting DST would fix a poll in order to release a character that they can release any time they want to is ridiculous, but it happens every time they have a poll, when people's expectations of what's popular aren't met. Excited for Songbird!
  22. Yeah, "brony" is a pretty off-putting term to me, like most fanboy group terminology -- I mean I'm not making YouTube shipper videos or getting my girlfriend to dress up as a pony or anything. I do think it's a funny show though, so I bought a couple toys, as I do with most stuff I like. That seems fitting at least.
  23. I really loved the Wizards & Warriors games as a kid. Also Super Mario Bros 2 & 3 Tetris Dr. Mario A Boy And His Blob Duck Hunt Deja Vu I remember playing the first Ninja Turtles game a lot, but parts of it being stupid frustrating. Oh and the unlicensed Dizzy NES game. Anthropomorphic egg wearing boxing gloves. Adapted from a weird British game series.
