I found this set for the first time today! I did not get it though. Instead I picked up old men Logan and hawkeye sweet. Tru had maybe 8 sw packs.

some other points of interest: black blot does come with "wings" they are attached with bands that go above his elbow it looked at though there were no short packed mates. if my memory is right there were 4 spidermen, 3 ironmen, 2 black blots, 2 swordmen, 2 old man logan. looking back those numbers don't add up. sorry i was on the phone at the time, BUT i do remember there being at least 2 of each set. I remember i found this rather surpriseing. i would love to post pictures but i have no camera these are out in tucson az

I was hoping to see some pictures. Remember last year we got stealth iron man anyone thing we will NOT get wave 5 this week?

i got these (and most of the other mates) late last night. t2 was the only ones i opened and i was really surprised they come with a boat load of extra arms and guns, SO cool! i was going to post pictures but i left my camera at home so maybe pictures later?

I have found them in both ilses. With the marvel guys mixed in and next to the bsg. I would look throug the rows in each just to be sure. It also would not hurt to check out another tru. For example of the 2 tru in Tucson one has a much better selection of movie minimates and is a bigger tru BUT the smaller tru that I go to has a better selection ( or at least newer) of marvel but only get one box of the other mates.

My tru doesn't even have a peg for marvel minimates anymore in another row they have one peg for bsg mates and an other for the miniflyers.

i keep the mates i really like on display (my wife will only allow me one shelf). they are divided by universe; marvel then star trek, BSG, movies, and finally DC at the end. the rest of my mates are then kept in soup containers sorted by teamish... for example i keep all x-men in one box BUT there are so many wolverine character (not to mention wolverines) that they have there own box. but i keep the villains in the box too (i will get to why later). i also keep all the civilian looking mates (the skin jobs, bttf) in a box, where mates that are more gangster/ thug (the sprite, 24) like are in a separate box. so to keep track of who is in which box i cut the logos from the minimate box. in this way i am being green friendly AND staying organized! this way helps a lot for figures on the go. example; let say i am on the way out the door but i want to grab some mates for the road. BAM! grab the spiderman box, inside i have spiderman and all his bad guys + some allies (black cat and silver sable) same with the avengers not only will I have Thor and capt but also red skull and ultron! (of course i will have to add the hulk and ironman as they have there own box where they live)

i would say 3-5 on the low end. if you have more it looks super cool but i am pretty happy w/ @ least 3. for example: i have 4 old cylons (1 gold 2 silver and a black) that looks cool dispalyed and going in to battle. i have 5 razor cylons (2 gold [each variation] 3 silver [again variation] and again looks cool displayed or fighting BUT i only have 2 Gul Dukat (what the hell am i supposed to do with that!) it is not an army it is barely a scouting party just remember it does look cool the more you get:

They answered my question in latest round of Q&A and said Gooey Peter head "COULD" happen. Could is obvioulsy double speak for "YEAH!!!" or "NOO!!!" so I'm prepared for either crushing defeat or an actual use for that extra "Gooey Ray" I've had lying around. really all you need for gooey peter is the bottom of gooey ray. if you remember at the end of the movie they all come out from under the goo and peter is barley gooey where as everyone else is covered in the stuff. it is little bits like this that make GB such a great movie

No, unfortunately they are still a pre-order item. I think maxcarnage is correct that these will ship at the same time as the series 2 set. which (despite the date on the AA website) will not be this week at least not at my LCS, I but the call was not a total loss they reminded me to come in and order my GB series 3 set from previews!

did anyone happen to notice that the TRU exclusive sticker is not on ANY of these. granted most of them are from one wave or another but the swordman and old men pack one would expect to see a sticker no?

first i wanted to congratulate my other competitors it was super fun hunt this year. Next i wanted the thank everyone for there kind words. Ivan, God Magnus, cappy and Bob Harris, that really means a lot. thanks to cappy for getting my reference I did not think it would be that hard to figure out (?) i have been really busy but am really looking forward to sitting down and going through everyone's pictures instead of just glancing through

I was at a target today I saw the space where the cards are. And I thought hey that is where the minimates would be. Maybe I should have looked more.

Any word yet? My lcs said no dice this week but maybe next?

a bunch of my friends are "talking" about going. i say talking because we are mostly 30 something fathers and it is kind of hard for us to see a movie with out talking the wife and kids. (this is way i still have yet to see transformer, gi joe, start trek, harry potter, and any other movie that come out that has not been released on DVD) so with all these great reviews i think i will try harder to push them in the right direction.

I am up for it too! i forget to look up the picts and come back to them later when it does not matter. i think last year i looked through 5 and then found something pretty and forgot about the rest. it was only until the middle of this year's contest when I went back and looked through them all.

i think i got it... they are going to ship the ghost sets when the second box set comes out. in this way dst hopes to grab more people in buying it than would if it was shipped by itself
