When was the last time SF did something big? How about after 20 years we are getting STREET FIGHTER 4 I stand behind everything I said. If you want to naysay, then dont buy them if they get re-released. Everyone who has ever played street fighter 2 waitied forever for a part 3, and now capcom is going all out with a part 4. This is the perfect time to revisit the line. Booyah.

Hmm, all interesting points. A box set at a game store would be new, but gamestop phased toys out of the floorplan a while back. I think that an internet exclusive would be the best bet. Kind of like the defenders. Afx of even a popular SF fansite like they are doing with that BTTF fansite. I may have been wrong about the distribution, but I never saw ryu, the most popular character in SF, in a store except for the TRU set. And I used to work at TRU and not only does their system of stocking toys suck, but half the time, that stuff would be hidden in the overstock. So if they were on the shelf where they were supposed to be, like the marvel 4 opacks were some of the time, then they would have sold better. One thing is for sure. The box sets selling at shops now are doing well, and the SF box was never in a place where it could do well. They might as well have sent it to wal mart. If they could get that wave out as a 5 pack for a net exclusive or previews exclusive, and advertise this one better, then we could get it in our hands. Their are still options that they havent used yet and with a franchise as popular as SF, they should have no problem making up for the 1st half assed attempt they made.

They still have plenty more batcaves. And they have been updating the displays every month or so. Oddly, they have more minimates in the gift shop than in the museum, and there isnt a whole lot in the gift shop. Amended Batcave: Play Along released a batcave that fell apart a lot and lacked a lot of structural integrity. It was still cool, so they released it again in the same box, but added a few parts and amended instructions mixed in with the regular instructions. It was nice to do but it was still inaccurate since they didnt update everything. They also sent out amended stuff through their customer service line from what I remember. My joker is the new joker without the coat piece or hat piece. And I put the hairpiece from the batcave joker on him.

I would buy 2. people can do their own P2 variants. I Just want more characters, I would even buy more darstalkers because that game was bad ass.

I have never heard of the east wood movie that is getting mates and BTTF and rocky were unexpected to me as well, those are movies popular from the 80's and they have mates. SF could come back in little box sets like what we are getting now. The problem with the 1st wave was no one could find them. I never saw a ryu in stores. I did see a 4 pack with him in it though, and those were only at toys are us. DST is distibuting now and have better pull, the box sets are selling well andare a lot easier to find, for me at least, and to top it off, The canceled star trek line now has 3 waves planned to start and we already got the 1st wave. We just need to keep this info on the minds of DST and it is definatley possible at this point. I already mentioned to chuck that they could do them as a box or for an exclusive retailer. AFX loves their exclusives, and if they were offered a box of all new characters people wants and not repaints, they would probably be all over that set. My shops are stocking all the new boxes and they are easy to find because DST does a better job distributing them than Art Asylum did. And if star trek can rise from the dead, then so can blanka and guile and dan. I mean come on, BTTF has 2 box sets and 2 exclusive 2 packs? Do the same for street fighter already. Things are different this time around. Everyone needs to realize they are at a point where this makes sense and is also feasible to achieve. Its not like Im asking for LOTR wave 3, but SF is always doing something. Lets Make It Happen!!!!!

After displaying the sad and lonely Rocky mates and the very side of my marvel mates, I couldnt see much point In getting these. I dont have a boxing ring, or a delorean, and I have never seen an episode of 24. But, I do love minimates and I found 2 uses for all of these mates for you guys on the fence about getting them. Aside from accessories: 1. CIVILIANS 2. ZOMBIE FOOD right now, everyone from all three sets are in category one. But I think at some point soon, Magneto might be making a deal with the Sentry...

DO NOT USE SUPERGLUE! I just used clear nail polish on a handfull of torso pegs and it worked beautifully without the risk of permanently ruining your mate. Since the hands are round, just make sure you clip them to something to keep them in place so they dont dry onto something and get stuff. Like putting the hands on the end of a toothpick that is stuck in an eraser or putty or sculpey. Or if you have some lego rods you can clip them onto. Good luck.

Ok, So I know a lot of you have holy grails and stuff like that and might think Im retarded for this. But I passed on the javelin, manbat, and a lot of other stuff multiple times. The only reason I have the flash, manhunter or manbat is because my friend gave me his. So this is my most expensive piece of my minimate collection. The Batcave "A stupid 40 dollar lego set that can be found cheaper at places online is what this is about?" Nay I say to thee. This is about my love for minimates. And how far i will go for toys I love. The batcave, I had been putting off buying ever since it came out. I got the joker mates for free when it came out, so it was just a matter of getting the cave and bruce later. Even when I had money, I watched it slip in price everywhere and even go on clearance. I even passed up 20 bucks buy it nows with free shiping due to laziness. So now that Im doing all right for myself and can afford nice things, I decided, I have every wave of the dc mates and nowhere cool to display them like my marvel mates. There was no justice to that. I could have bought the one advertised on the forum for 19.95, but I wanted this too much to have it be delivered when I am at work and have some shady gansta jack it off of my porch. So I decided to take a trip. Last year I went to a cousins wedding in Oklahoma city. I live in dallas texas. It is a 3+ hour drive from one to the other. I discovered after crossing the border that the is an actual Toy and Action figure museum in a small town called Pauls Valley. Me and my sister drove over there on the way to the wedding and it was awesome. But that is a different story. The point is, they had a lot of batcaves last year for the retail price. So in the last 2 months, I decided that one week, after I get paid, the next day I had off would be taking a roadtrip. Here is the good stuff. I remembered the trip was long, but pauls valley was only an hour north of dallas. I got 2 friends of mine to go with me and enjoy the trip. The trip was long and arduous, and had many dangers. We aso drove past the winstar casino. We eventually get to the museum, take a guided tour, and go home after purchasing my batcave and taking a bunch of side trips. So why is this the most expensive piece you might be asking? Here is why. At the time of the trip, It took me 35 dollars to fill my tank. An hour trip would maybe take a quarter of a tank in my car. I get good highway mileage. I remembered wrong. Pauls Valley was an hour SOUTH of Oklahoma city, not an hour north. Also, even though they were very nice, the owners of the museum were very small town. They hadnt ever heard of a clearance and upped the cost of the cave to 50 bucks. 55 with tax. I used a full tank of gas that day and I had to fill it again to get to work for the next week. 55+35+35=125. I also got pulled over and got a ticket for driving with 2 registrations and no inspection (dont ask). I still havent paid the tickect, so that will add to the price of the cave. So far, this batcave cost me a day, and $125. More than my galactus mate, more than most people pay for the rediculously under distributed javelin, and more than a lot of rare toys. On the plus side, it was the amended version from Play Along, and it is bad ass! The funny part is this isnt even my holy grail. Enjoy the invasion, and I think every should mod there joker the way I did. Also, if you are near north texas (dinobot, I'm looking at you), you should google the Action Figure and Toy Museum. Its worth going to at least once.

Ok, so I have been holding out due to being really busy, But this is what the avengers battle has evolved into. Im calling it ultimate alliance, because like the game, this is big and not likey to happen. Unless it counts as an alternate universe of course :biggrin: . I also included a dc pic, with the most expensive piece in my entire collection. Im really just waiting to clear up some room and the DC stuff will be just like my marvel stuff. Anyway, enjoy these temporary updates. Im just going to do better later. I have included 2 wide shots and 3 closer ones to help you catch the detail. And as far as marvel goes, can anyone tell me whats wrong with this pic? I can think of a few things. Also, take note of the sandman from the box set. that is how you make him not suck. The absorbing man is my hero now. That is a QC black widow by fury, easy to do and accurate to her design. Also, my wonderman cant seem to catch a break. After much consideration, Aside from all the excellent marvel knights mates, I think Thanos is the absolute best marvel minimate. Also, like the sandman, it took 2 jokers to make my favorite one. Go play with your mates people and don't forget to utilize your civilians!

Im going to try really hard to enter this. But I dont want to use my zombie sentry. Let me think about it. Also, the zombie batman was done in artwork for a comic show by Arthur Suydam. There is a regular version and zombie version and I have the zombie one framed. Nextwave would be a great set. I suggest everyone read at least the 1st few issues. if it does strike you as the best marvel series ever written, I will crap in my hat.

They did the same thing with marvel zombies and the avengers. They had the date they were supposed to come out on the site for months, and right before they came out, they changed the date on the site. The mates still came out on the original date, but they changed the date on the site, not because of when they come out, but because of when they will be available to order through the site. So pretty much, we cant trust their site now. Also, I got the marvel zombies on time, everyone else got the avengers on time, except the center of the US where we got them a week later. My shop is usually prompt but they told me they werent getting them on wednesday, so It might be that you guys get them 1st and next week I will be able to get them like I did with the avengers. 2 days until we find out.

Zeus is actually my main shop. They dont pressure people with sales, they tell me about stuff that I like that I dont even know is coming out, and as a toy collecter, they get all the hard to find toys everyone else gets and charge retail price or lower. I bought a cheap thanos and marvel zombies 2 pack, variant mates with no markup. the dc waves have been a steady 7.99 since they came out, and marvel has always been a steady 6.99.

I get treated very well at all the other shops I go to and when you walk into lonestar, its like walking onto a sleazy used car lot. everyone is business dressed, and they all barrage you every 5 minutes trying to sell you something. They overprice everything, expecially variants. they have their store employee's travel around to local stores, and Dallas has a lot of the, to pick up all the rare figures as soon as a case hits the floor. And I have repeatedly watched them deny the use of gift cards they issued, which is highly illegal.

If any of you are ever in dallas texas, we have a lot of shops here, but one of them is this chain called lonestar comics. They do it all, loot stores, overprice, horrible policies designed to rip you off all under the front of it being a family friendly store. I have always had problems with this store and its service for over 10 years. They spread slander about other stores and I swear, no joke, the district manager looks and acts like a 'deleted by mod' TM2, if you ever are up here, please dont buy from them, there are all kinds of friendly shops around here, and the one I go to sells everything, chase or regular, from all lines for retail price. The shops that are not trying to get your money are the best ones. I paid 5.99 for my marvel zombies 2 pack. I couldnt even find it that cheap online before shipping.

That is a kick ass pic. For everyone with a loose part problem, have you tried the clear nail polish trick? Just lightly brush it around the inside of the hair piece and maybe a little on the back of the head and that will add enough mass to the head to give you a tighter fit.

I hope they follow the formula of series 19 and 20. more like 19 though, you cant beat a wave where half the figs are villians, unless its dc wave one where it was more villians. in fact marvel should do that. as far as mimicing dc wave one, how about 4 of any of these sets: red skull/winter soldier(great pairing and no crappy cap variant) psylocke/sabretooth (from jim lee's xmen run) kraven/green goblin(target version, also, nice color contrast in package) ant man/kang yellowjacket/kang giant man/kang omega red/maverick (weapon x-ers) deadpool/omega red (weapon x-ers) gambit/sinister war machine/mandarin crimson dynamo/iron man variant baron zemo/baron strucker demon blackheart/mephisto electro/falcon (according to the falcon miniseries, they are arch nemesis')I kid you not at 1st i was thinking of logical pair ups like the dc waves and wave 19 and 20 of marvel, but I can do this double villian pairings like joker and harley all day.I would probably crap myself if marvel pulled a double villian pack. Id love to hear more ideas from others though.
