Wow... has it been that long since i last updates this thread!? Anyways... here's a little custom that i had planned using the Silver Age Angel, but alas, it will be on hiatus for a while. I've even added the claws to a set of gloves and painted the mask and shoulder pads... i was all ready to go, but Angel-Gate denied me from getting any Silver Age Angels. And yes i know it wholly inaccurate, but it's just a little bit of fun... more of a What If? The pictures i've photoshoped together are from Ivan's excellent Minimate Database!

I regret posting all my rants before about Angel-gate. I just don't feel as pissed off anymore... i didn't get what I thought i had ordered, but I'm sure the guys at DST are thinking the same thing!? Let's hope they can find away to get more F.A Angels out.

I'm sure you are right, even though i feel pissed off at the moment, but it is so frustrating to think how this happened and especially so because DST haven't even commented yet. Yes I know they don't have to, but with them frequenting these boards so often I would have expected something? More fool me for thinking better of them!

Good point BHM. Not only was there a major lack of communication with China, but there must have been countless oportunities for someone at DST to notice something wasn't quite right. DST will probably put the blame on the Chinese, but at the end of the day, it's their responsibility to check the final product before it goes to retail.

I'm even more pissed now, as i've definatley missed out on the First Appearence Angel. My First Appearence X-Men set are pretty much useless until complete. DST, how's about you supply boxes of "only" the F.A Angel sets to suppliers who contact you, so they can atleast supply them to their customers who pre-ordered them? At the end of the day, it's your f#ck up that may harm them! Just take it on the chin and resolve it, or atleast show your face and make your pathetic excuses.

The longer DST take to comment on this... the more respect i lose for them. And surely they were aware that this was going to happen a while ago? Thanks for the heads up guys!

If you're expecting the blue Angel, then good news... there's plenty more than originally thought, 3 per case. But if you're expecting the Silver Age Angel, then bad news... there's only 1 per case.

What the #@%* !? DST really need to comment on this and what they're gonna do about it. How can such a dumb mistake be made? The only way I can see them resolving it is if they send out Silver Age Angel sets to stores who have pre-orders to fullfill.

Will you ship to the UK if i cover the extra shipping costs?

Thinking about it, I guess these vehicles are consistant with Minimate designs... small, blocky and lacking in detail. But that's the thing that give Minimates their charm, which unfortunatley is lost on these vehicles. I think DST should go back to the drawing board with these designs.

Those pictures are doing nothing for me... and that's the nicest way i can put it! But i do think a motorcycle will have the most potential to look good.

Did i miss something... is the old news? I've just been looking at the fist appearence x-men set on Art Asylums blog, have these figures changed from the prototypes (pictured on back of box)? The figures still look to have black masks, but am i seeing blue highlights too, which are also shown on the art on the side of the box. If so, i guess this means the first appearence Angel will get reworked as well.
