  1. I'm a HUGE fan of Street Fighter games aren't part of the series of re-iterations of SFII, and would even go so far as to say SFIII's roster > SFII as I felt Capcom really did some great new designs and interesting takes on existing fighting styles (saying Alex or Hugo is a Geif clone or Dudley a Boxer clone (baring in mind he's called M Bison in Japan and Balrog in the west) is like saying Ice is water - there are similarities, sure but arguebly far more in the way of differences). Plus Juri and Hakan are two of the best characters to come out of SFIV, and I am annoyed C Viper got in instead of either of them. And then there's the fact Capcom seemed to ignore a lot of their franchises. Sure, Hagger, Arthur, Dante and Viewtiful Joe were great additions but do we really need Trish AND Virgil? Jill, Nemesis, Chris AND Wesker (I always prefered Onimusha to the Resi series)? What about people who may want an Onimusha representative, a SFIII rep, some of the more obscure fan favouriets from MvC2 (i.e. Captain Commando (whom I mained), Jin and Hayato), a Power Stone rep, Red Earth/Warzard characters (the main reason I got Capcom Fighting Jam/Evolution) and maybe someone from Rival Schools. As much as I want and can't wait for this line, the fact there are SOOO many characters I'd have put in instead of the Resi Evil reps add salt to the wound. And as for MODOK, I'd have personally used Blackheart, Thanos or a new villain instead of him. I've never really cared for the character and stopped following "Marvel What The...?" when every ep started to be about him. Much like the SFII roster, I personally fall into the "Over use kills interest" kind of people. Quoted for truth. I always felt the SF/DS wave was a great idea; just a shame it never lasted. Yeah I was bummed when Hsien-Ko didn't make the W3 lineups. Really hoping DST closes the loop here. Same, and add my main J. Talbain not getting released in SF/DS Wave 2.
  2. I have to say, I've not been following this line but the klassic figures look awesome. I may have to buy Rain if he's released in either his Klassic or MK9 costume. Do the figures come with any accessories? Edit - Wait, Rain has been released but in a pack with everyonje bar Reptile and Scorpion http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mortal-Kombat-Klassic-Classic-4-6-Pack-Ermac-Reptile-Sub-Zero-Smoke-Noob-Rain-/200678735311?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb9627dcf As Sub Zero and Ermac are on their way individually, maybe Rain will be done so soon...
  3. Really? You think MODOK is a waste of space when he is the only Marvel character in Wave 3 to never have a MiniMate yet? Totally respect your opinion, just surprised to hear that feedback. Please appreciate I came into this line of minimates as a fighting game fan first, and a minimate collector second (though I am loving the fact the license has been acquired). When MODOK was announced for the game I let out a huge groan, especially when a large number of personal favorites from MvC2 had yet to be confirmed/dis-confirmed and the roster had yet to show anything really interesting and original (i.e. how about characters from Rival Schools, Onimusha, Street Fighter III, Power Stone etc.). With regards to the line in general, I'm more interested in the Capcom characters, unless the Marvel one is a much needed re-release, new (and ideally interests me personally) or a chance for a yet-to-be released costume to get used.
  4. Well said! Hell, I don't relaly care for MODOK as a character let alone as a minimate (but the completionist in me will get him). I'd rather his spot in the roster was given to someone else like Thanos. Second, especally with regards to more Street Fighter. Hell, why not branch out into it's "sister franchise" Final Fight so we can get the likes of Rolento, Cody, Guy Hugo and Poison to go with Hagger. And I wouldn't say no to both the World Warriors and the New Generation.
  5. That's annoying. I really like the new Akuma and Thor/Amaterasu both look awesome (never really cared for MODOK. TBH I think he's a waste of space in the roster). I wonder if Doom comes with the Doom chair...
  6. Slight mistake in that statement (which I otherwise agree with), so I fixed it Personally I think DST should do a Modern Guardians of the Galaxy boxset (or three), as Kang breifly teamed up with some of them (need to re-read that awesome series). That way, Kang fans can get Kang and I can get three more members of Modern GotG to go with Gamora.
  7. That would be AWESOME! DST should really do an Incredible Hercules wave as that was one of Marvel's best runs. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
  8. Small typo - in panel six Molecule Man says "yhat" instead of "that".
  9. We've had Silver Surfer/Swordsman and Fantomex/Mr Negative, so I don't see why Squirrel Girl/Rocket Raccon would be impossible.
  10. Boyd...? Anyway, I agree. My minimate collection has a strange Rocket Raccoon shaped hole in it that badly needs to be rectified (wonder if I can hijack the Kang meme and change it to be about Rocket instead...). New shots have appeared on Event Hubs, and includes ALL costumes to date, including the ones from the first costume pack (i.e. Iron Patriot, SF1 Ryu etc.) Please note that a pop up does usually appear when you go to Event Hubs but I don't think anything malicious gets added to your computer.
  11. per comment on DST's Facebook page: "Trish comes with her sword, and Dormammu comes with fireballs." I don't tend to look at FB that much, especially for companies like DST. I remember it just showing her gun on her design art, but none the less I appologise for my mistake and great to hear! Can't wait to see it. Tangent: With Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on the way, an article has been posted on the Capcom website that shows all of the pre-order bonus costumes, and leaked images from the strategy guide shows a large number of un/yet to be announced DLC costumes (though this does suggest it's on disc DLC...). With the SF1 Ryu costume part of TRU wave 2, I'm REALLY hoping (presuming they get the UMvC3 line as well) that some/all of these can make it as well. Not only will it be great to get alternatives for characters like classic, Strider, Casual Friday Morrigan, Ammy as Talbain and Zero as Mega Man X, but also some great updates (Scarlet Spider!) and designs that would probably not get used in the regular line (lawyer She-Hulk, masked Dr Strange and Annihilation Super Skrull). Leaked DLC Costumes Pre-order Bonuses Strategy guide preview of Dr Strange's entry Sod's law says: A - The Ultimate license doesn't get acquired B - They aren't going to/allowed to do any more DLC costumes C - The line cancels despite them announcing they can and/or would (i.e. what happened with the original SF line (I still miss not having a Talbain minimate )) D - Any mixture of the above
  12. Still a bit miffed Trish isn't coming with the sword Sparda. I love the design of that sword.
  13. Seige managed to not only kill one of my favourite characters in Dark Avenegrs (The Sentry - yes I ACTUALLY liked him and saw potential), but he also managed to kill off Ares who was a very close second... Anyhoo, awesome job on the comics.
  14. Fighting game hub The Fighters Generation Just posted a link to the four sets available to TRU.com. Not sure if this may affect collectors like ourselves but for those holding back, it may be worth jumping in now incase the casual collectors swoop up a number of them. I also pointed him in the direction of Luke's Toy Stroe, suggesting he posted links to it when the specialist store wave is released.
  15. I agree. Hell, I wish they keep up this trend of doing Cosmic Boxsets (i.e. Infinity Gauntlet and Herald of Galactus) and give us the long over due Guardians of the Galaxy set! It should be law that Rocket Raccoon should be in every collector's collection.
  16. That set looks awesome. Curse my lack of funds though... As for request, how about a groupshot of all the cosmic characters you have, and/or Galactus with the three from the set and Silver Surfer (either version(.
  17. Marvel vs Capcom. Yes it is annoying it's limited to MvC3 so some of my favorites like Captain Commando aren't going to be made (and Strider if the Ultimate license isn't acquired) but the updates and more importantly new Capcom characters make up for it (I guess MODOK as well but I've never cared for the character). Zombies are probably the one I'm least interested in. I don't feel I have the money or space in my collection for them.
  18. One of Nova's alternative costume's uses Quasar's pallet. http://uk.gamespot.com/special_feature/marvelcapcom-week8/image-feature/index.html?image=6 I'm hoping if we see more P2 boxsets after DST (hopefully) announce the Ultimate licence this gets added to the mix.
  19. I'm looking foward to it. The way I see it, we have A Movie Cap minimate, but the costume in The Avengers is different and I feel that warrents a variant. Same for Thor and maybe Iron Man (not sure ifit's mark 6, 6.5 or 7. It was said Tony would don multiple armours so who knows). Plus if the Thanos and/or Skrull rumours pan out then I'd love to have movie versions of them in my collection.
  20. Don't forget Ultimate Magneto and Age of X Hulk. But I do agree about 50% of the Capcom pallets are made up/to fit a theme rather than being an alternative costume worn by the character (one of Zero's in UMvC3 references his pallet/look from the excellent Mega Man Zero series) or referencing a friend, ally, sibling or foe (all of Zero's other costumes). Technically most of the alternative costumes for the Marvel characters are valid alternative costumes, even if it's just Doom-in-red/white/dark blue (for example). I understand the frustration about having 2,000 Wolverines in our collection but in my eyes if the costume originates from the comics and ISN'T the 25th version of the classic Spidey costume (my opinion of it has actually gone DOWN thanks to DST re-using it so much) with a bit of battle damage then I'm all for it. I love the fact Spidey has worn so many different costumes and look forward to having them as minimates. Having said that, I wouldn't say no to a boxset based around the War Of The Gems pallets we're getting in UMvC3.
  21. I'm all for that, especally if she could double up as modern X-Factor Wolfsbane. Nothing, it's just a theory I have as Wave 12 is complimenting Wave 42 and the two TRU MvC3 waves are complimenting the LCS waves. I could be clean wrong (someone did mention Zach's hints about it being seperate, much like Wave 8 was) so just see it as a theory. Yes on Annihilus. How about a collection of Marvel Cosmic boxsets based around DnA's excellent comics. I can think of about five or six off the top of my head.
  22. That SHIELD army builder looks amazing. My wallet is not looking forward to me scowering eBay for loose versions of these... I'm also liking the Black Suited Spider-Man. I didn't mind the slip on mask version back in Wave 24 but this looks like an equally good substitue.
  23. Isn't Miles penned for Summer 2012? If Wave 13 compliments Wave 43, I doubt we'll see Miles in it, unless he is getting released earlier than expected. And a big YES to X-Force Nightcrawler.
  24. I think I may pass on the Deadpool box set, but then again the hood from Kidpool combined with a spare Nightcrawler minimate might allow me to make a certain Vampire-turned-Wrath...
  25. And after hearing a fellow boardie say that, i don't feel so bad for voting for him Be proud of the service you've done for your community. SECOND! I'm still waiting for a Guardians of the Galaxy boxset to get announced (and with Rocket in UMvC3 maybe it's time...) Thirded. Cosmic Marvel is fun fun fun. Kang stared in Guardians of the Galaxy. While I never cared for him, surely his invovlement with that awesome team should give even more reason for us to have two or three Modern Age GotG boxsets
