Well it's always good to get another villain. Unfortunately, Selene is such an easy custom to make it's shame to waste a slot on it. Hopefully, the last reveal is something new like Sinister or Omega Red.

DST has a made a few odd choices of variants before (Rhodes War Machine and Symbiote Spider-man) so I wouldn't be surprised if Jim Lee Jean Grey was a variant.

So far so good with this wave. I don't think the army builders will end anytime soon so I think the Hellfire Guard will be in this wave. I'm hoping for Jean Grey, Redo Colossus, and a villian (hopefully Pyro or Avalache, but I'd be happy with Omega Red or a new Juggernaut)

First toysrus.com canceled my original preorder for this wave, so I preordered them again. The figures have now been removed from the site and now I get another email saying they canceled my preorder again. The reason they state in the email is because the items aren't in stock. (no duh! it's a preorder)

Finally!! After 3 weeks of looking I found one case at my local TRU. Thankfully, it was a full case so I could get one of each pack. Excellent mates and probably the best TRU wave so far. The only negative is Electro's mask. The paintjob is horrible. The yellow bleeds into the black portion all over and there are black speckles in parts of the yellow.

Just got an email from Toysrus.com that part of my order for Series 2 is now processing. Peter/Terror Dog and Lab Egon/Jogger are listed as processing. Lewis/Slimer and Winston/Taxi Driver are listed as back-ordered.

I got my in stock notice as well from BBTS. They got the last waves of marvel minimates in early too, if I remember correctly. I wonder if DST is shipping them stuff early as some sort of "bonus" for their orders or if BBTS is using a faster shipping service than other places.

Hopefully this isn't true, however DST/AA hasn't shown any packaged pics of these waves yet so I have bad feeling it is true. If these are delayed again DST/AA really needs to improve their release date estimates and the frequency they update them. Their site still says these waves are due for release in a week. DST would have known this is not true awhile ago.

No Aliens or Predator minimates in 2010 because Fox & DST want to see what happens with the new movies?? what new aliens and predator movies??? we want minimates from the early/good aliens and predator movies not the new/crappy ones they keep making.

Finally, the TRU near me got in the Ghostbusters minimates. Only one case but all I needed was the Egon and Ray packs so there was plenty left over. Thankfully, they were on the pegs right next to the Battlestar Galactica minimates so I didn't have to search the entire store for them. Now begins the long wait until Wave 2.

I definitely had some good "toy karma" going this morning. I checked out the local TRU, which had stocked the new wave last week, but had no Moonstone/Bullseye left when I got there. Today the minimates were thrown all over the shelves below the pegs. I was placing them back on the pegs when I noticed there was a Moonstone/Bullseye 2-pack. :woot: It didn't look like they restocked so I'm assuming someone stashed the Moonstone/Bullseye pack last week and employees found it and put it back on the shelves. Great two-pack and I'm always happy to add more villains to the collection.

The picture on DST's site has now changed. The Endoskeleton is gone as is the all silver T-1000 with the dagger arm. Hopefully it will still be released.

The Terminator minimates are now in stock at TRU.com as well. I'd assume pre-orders are starting to process/ship as well.

So AA/DST showed the packaged pics of the Terminator Minimates on May 5th and they are now out at TRU. On May 8th AA/DST showed the next Marvel TRU wave so that means they should be out soon...right? or am I being overly optimistic?

I got my set from BBTS today too. Very good wave here's a few quick thoughts on each set: Skaar/Red Hulk: I wasn't looking forward to this pack but it came out very well. Red Hulk comes w the duck and regular feet. Skaar is also very well done but it's still Skaar so to the back of the display shelf he goes. Bucky Cap/Red Skull: Bucky Cap is excellent, with great details. The shield seems a little sturdier and less warped then some of the more recent shields. Red Skull looks great in the suit but not so great in the army outfit. The army outfit is too bulky for my tastes. Hopefully DST will try again with army outfit Red Skull and throw in a cosmic cube. Iron Man/AIM Agent: The new "classic" Iron Man is excellent and comes with the repulser blast hand. The Iron Man variant comes with two helmets and the shoulder circles. AIM Agent is also very good but the paint on the helmet is sloppy. Lots of black bleeding into the yellow. One of the helmets looks like it was rolled in grease. AIM Agent comes with pistol, holster and chain gun. Switching up the guns and holster can create some variety in your AIM army.

It looks like the Spirit comic-based set is now canceled. It's not on the latest release date blog at Art Asylum and has been removed from the DST site as well. Can't say I'm surprised but I was hoping it would be released.

I made my own generic "thugs" and "gangsters" by mixing and matching parts from different minimates. I used parts from the frank castle and thug in the punisher boxset along with pieces from other "civilian" minimates lines like Rocky and The Man w No Name Trilogy.

Minimates are still lacking in villains, but DST seems to be making more of them now then they used to. They've done a good job on making spidey villains but we are really lacking in X-Men villains. Hopefully there will be a villains wave or more villains boxsets. A Brotherhood (Avalanche, Pyro, Toad & Redo-Mystique), Avengers Enemies (Zemo, Kang, Klaw & a different form of Ultron), Iron Man Enemies (Mandarin, Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man & Whiplash) would make some nice boxsets.
