Hot Diggity! A Contest! I'll take number 42. And Happy Birthday!

I appreciate in advance any advice on this... I just received my order for 2 Spider-Man 3 2-packs from Diamond. I opened one of the two boxes, which was surprisingly light, and even more surprisingly empty! No clear plastic tray, no minimates. The other one was just as it should be. The (large) box they were shipped in doesn't appear to have bee opened and retaped. Now, I'm drafting an e-mail to Diamond's customer service, and asking for a replacement. I don't want my money back; I ordered two packs because of the reduced shipping cost. Has anyone else had an issue like this? If so, how did the company make good? I'm very concerned that I'll get the "Yeah, right, your box was empty. Whatever." response. Any advice? Suggestions? Anyone familiar with Diamond’s customer service, or should I just start getting used to the fact that I paid $21 for two minimates? Again, any advice is appreciated.

Okay, to keep it going: In what book did the New Mutants first appear and who were they (codenames and real names)? BONUS: Why were the New Mutants formed/recruited?

The thing about the pictures on the box is, they don't always show exactly what's inside. I for one was a bit disappointed when I opened the Target Ghost Rider/Daredevil box and found that the actual figure did not have the chain link belt. Maybe for the picture of Cyke, they used some other character's non-grimacing head?

I also got a 2005 black Retail Summit mate. I've never really collected these, so I don't even know what kind of 'blanks' are out there. I am very thankful for the the freebie, though. It was the Free Comic Book Day white blank that my LCS owner gave me that got me started (and hooked) on 'mates to begin with. Funny... the first one was free, but when I asked for more, he charged me....

I'm hoping for an original costume Martian Manhunter and Flash. These are the most recognizable forms, especially with the exposure the characters got on the cartoon. I'm sure that they can make them different enough so that they won't 'devalue' the C3 figures anymore than Series 1 Superman devalues the throne playset one (though I wouldn't put that one the same level as the Javelin). Not ever producing these two characters in the current series would frustrate those new to the hobby, the ones who started with the current incarnation of DC minimates. Heck, pack them together in Series 7, get them out, and get them out of the way. Let's finish the team!

Thanks for the advice. I must have deleted the e-mail during an in-box clean up. I'm not TOO worried about not having the detailed invoice. I have a general idea (the excitement of clicking "add to cart" so many times must have blurred my memory!) It'll make for a nice surpise when the order arrives.

I ordered several things, but now can't remember exactly what! I couldn't figure out how to check what my order contained, but I guess everything I ordered is on its way since my account got charged. This is my first order with them. Do they have pretty good turn-around time in getting in-stock shipments out? I am amazed they had the Power-Man/Iron Fist pack, and am looking forward to that one the most.

As someone who is a die-hard "opener", I've still got some of the DC 'mates in the package. With Marvel, I always open, otherwise I feel like I paid $6 for a box with promo-art. With DC (and BSG) packaging, I like being able to see the actual 'mates. I'll get around to opening all of them eventually. They're too cool not to have open!

I'd like to see all of those sets (let me just rub the magic lamp real quick), but I'd also like to see: Teen Titans 2 Wonder Girl Aqaulad Speedy Terra Brother Blood Supefriends 1 Black Vulcan Samurai Solomon Grundy The Wonder Twins Superfriends 2 Apache Chief Black Manta Cheetah Marvin & Wendy ... since it may be wishful thinking, lets get the entire Legion of Doom, with a playset.

When I first heard about this offer, I figured that my choices would be either Spider Woman/Riot Spider-Man or Kitty Pryde/Beast. These are the only ones I had seen in central VA for several weeks. In the last few days, though, it appears that fresh cases have been coming in, as I’m seeing all of the Target packs again, at multiple locations. So if these take a while to sell through, will that keep the Spidey series in the warehouse? (glad I could send in a receipt for Ghost Rider/Daredevil)

I'd like to see in Series 7: Hawk/Dove 2-pack Speedy/Wonder Girl (original) 2-pack Orion/Darkseid (2.5 inch) 2-pack Cyborg/Terra 2-pack I know it's a hero-heavy assortment, but if we're filling up the Justice League, then bring on some Titans!

Maybe it's because there are still FYE Cylon 5-packs in the area, but I'd rather get the extra Baltar with the Gina 6 varient. The robots are great, but Baltar lends itself better to customization of another character. Speaking of customizing, I'm looking forward to getting Admiral Adama, Tyrol, and some boxing gloves from the Rocky minimates (are they making a boxing ring?). I think "Unfinished Business" was one of the better episodes this season.

Hello, I'm new to the board and this is my first post, but I figured this is worth sharing... I went to my local FYE thinking about getting another Cylon 5-pack, and I saw modern series 1 on the peg below the Cylons. Unfortunately, they were $9.99 each! This is the first time I've seen these in person, since none of the LCSs are carrying these, but OUCH! They had one Cylon/Kobol Six 2-pack, which I picked up, but $40 for a set seems a bit steep.
