and I am jealous of the quest....the closest I get to the thrill of running around hunting for toys anymore is for my sons CARS cars....all my toys are either pre-ordered, ebayed or gotta through friends on here....I mean is still some fun in the unknown time frame of getting stuff like these FYE sets but nothing compares to the physical hunting of it lol Jeff of the Minis

Well sunday was early christmas due to the baby coming on wednesday...so we were at my parents with the inlaws doing presents today...I got some gift certificates for my LCS so there will be my Spiderman 3 minimates plus some others....I got the Target Iceman/Wolvy pack finally..that iceman rocks! and the crown jewel was of course my gold spidey minimate which include a business card from Crom/Manny to help validate it! Most of the boxsets are shipping as per order, so however many the shops order is how many they get Jeff of the Minis

weird, so was mine. so get this, i got to me suncoast today and they didn't have them, and they are having a going out of business sale. but i did see the speed racer mate for $4 so i got him (score another mate) then i go to the fye 2 stores down. sets there, and i pick it up. i forgot to get someones present at that fye, so i go to the one downstairs (this is a mall, btw) no SS/HG set, but they are also having a going out of business sale, and there i got the cyclon 5 pack for $10 (score, more mates). so it looks like i may be in the same boat as others down the road with fye exclusives. then i get home and i have DC wave 6, Defenders, Web Armor Spidey, and SF Lilith variant all waiting at home. is that too much 'mates for one day? :biggrin: I truely believe that there is no such thing as too much mates in a day....honest and truely....at the start of the year I had a day where I got a case of marvel mates and 2 cases of the single pack cylons plus some other 2-packs of minimates in one shot...it was a glorious minimate day for sure and back on topic..I wonder if this backwards chest is a common error? Chuck has pretty much said that they were not done with BSG and by the looks of these sets I have a feeling there will be plenty of BSG through the new year! Jeff of the Minis

Yea Biff by far is the reason for this set! I am overall happy to see that we are getting more characters outside of the boxsets but hopefully we will see more of some of the other people aside from Marty, I know he is the main character but we need some of the other supporting cast!! They used to ship 2 waves at around the same time, pre-X3, but isn't Spiderman 3 the first time they've been released on the same day? Like I remember my LCS getting in the Astonishing X-Men wave on a different week than the New Avengers one... **just checked Minimate Database which says they were about a month apart, if they've got the dates right. I can't wait to get the SM3 mates, but buying 8 boxes at once will sure fill up a shopping bag Sometimes that can be a random glitch in the system....my LCS got them both in at the same time although it was a week later then normal releases....but generally up untill then they were shipping close if not right together....definatly were always advertised 2 waves at a time Jeff of the Minis

I was just coming back to correct myself on that....up untill the X3 and the Avengers waves the marvel minis always shipped two waves at a time....in fact when it was originally solicited the Ghost Rider movie wave and the Avengers wave were supposed to ship together.....but yea normally the marvel ones always ship 2 waves at once which is why I think they went with 2 waves for the Spiderman 3 ones because they would come out at the same time Jeff of the Minis

the double wave shipping has been this way since I started collecting at series 4 and 5 Jeff of the Minis

Yea I totally can agree with you on that one man...I wasnt so sure about it when it debuted on the last Target wave but since they changed the layouts every wave it definatly appeals more to me...plus the hook is great for hanging boxes if need be Jeff of the Minis

par for the course it listed both waves at once! as for the diamond ship list I find that the mates that are not shipped at the same time across the board dont show up on that list the first week as the west coast locals get them Jeff of the Minis

I see them on the shiping list i usually go by for this week so I am expecting the west coast should have them wednesday while the rest of us should have them on the 19t....new minimates and a new baby for me on the same day! Jeff of the Minis
