karamazov80
FYI. http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/main/ Apparently it will cross statue and 1/6th scale figure lines.
hellpop
Probably means DCD is ending the quarter scale figures, right? No big loss, from what I understand. I feel bad for everyone that bought those guys that will have to start over with $100 Sideshow toys, though.
karamazov80
Not sure exactly what it means, but yeah, I'm guessing DCD is done with the "museum quality" statues, and Sideshow will take over with (very likely vastly superior) 1/4 scale PFs and Comiquettes. They will also probably do busts, 1/5 scale statues, dioramas, and action figures. Hopefully they will collaborate with Hot Toys and use their muscle bodies to do DC comic characters in 1/6th scale. Sideshow has no need to get into 1/6th scale movie characters, since HT has that wrapped up pretty well IMO. I can envision this costing me vast sums of money, and necessitating some pretty extreme trade-offs in my current collecting habits.
hellpop
The "museum quality" tag always cracked me up. I'd love to see Georg Brewer trying to convince the curator at the Met that a Batman statue belongs there. Maybe he means Geppi's old pop culture museum?
