  1. Joe is very much a nostalgia property. Every time they try something new, it either reverts back to ARAH or if moves away from ARAH it dies. GI Joe 25th is a perfect example of this. It went from two single box sets to absolutely DOMINATING to the toy aisles for a few years, they moved away from ARAH and it quickly died off. Classified started as sort of a "modern take on Joe in 6 inch" with more military and sci-fi mixed in, but not necessarily classic designs. It did okay but stumbled a bit. As soon as they switched to straight up ARAH, it took off. You can pepper in SOME new stuff of course, but ARAH is what keeps it afloat. There are also big AT and even Super Joe fandoms out there as well. But there's nothing "new" with Joe that's connected with people in decades. I think the Joe MMs weren't as successful because a lot of issues with rollout and it was the same ol' stuff we usually see as the launch for Joe. The GI Joe Megos failed because they launched with SS and SE, which IMO is a mistake even though they are arguably the most popular Joe characters, Mego collectors didn't want those figures first. You're not going to get Joe fans to jump into a new format just cause of SS and SE, they have 800 versions of those guys. A new version of them doesn't excite them. From a business perspective it makes sense on the surface, but two seconds of digging under the hood you can see why it's a mistake. MMs issue was not so much character selection, though that was an issue, as it was not playing to the format's strengths. What was the #1 thing everyone here asked for? Army builders. That would have appealed to MM collectors and Joe collectors as opposed to another SS and CC. But that's been beat to death.
  2. @DSTZach any word on the Adventure Team sets or when I should be on the lookout for those to be solicited? I saw that the Joe Colton AT statue got listed.
  3. Don't promise me the AT and not deliver.
  4. Has anyone ever tried putting an Akedo toys figure head on a Minimate? It looks like it would work, but I haven't ever bought any to find out. They might be slightly oversized and the aesthetic wouldn't work for everything but would work for some things.
  5. Power Sword seems a little short. Hopefully my Wave 2 preorders with EE come through. Box set with 2 putties, Rita and Zedd would be nice if nothing else.
  6. I am stoked for the AT Minimates. Has there been any discussion on possibly flocking them? I know the Kreo figs were flocked. Might be fun!
  7. It's a good time for the second set to hit.
  8. Cotswold is not just into high-end, they are the #1 source for retro Joe stuff. Most of the stuff they promote is Adventure Team style stuff, they just carry the other 1:6 stuff as well. This is the website: https://www.gijoeelite.com/ Their Elite Brigade brand is where all the AT-inspired stuff is. They had made so much stuff in recent years. There is a big market. Estrela is making Falcon sets again, Geyperman is making stuff and Action Man is back as well. Strike while the iron is hot!
  9. These are amazing. There is a huge Adventure Team fan base out there and the recent Super Joe relaunch has sold like gangbusters. You guys should reach out to Cotswolds and have them carry these. SUPER stoked!
  10. FWIW the Hama figure is 3 3/4 (actually 4" as most modern 3 3/4 actually are) and not 6".
  11. So it's possible that Power Rangers is already dead in the water? Because that would be... disappointing.
  12. Really nice custom Goldar. I sure hope DST does a deep dive on villains, there's so much fun to be had just in Rita's palace.
  13. I really like the Minimate Zord designs. It's a shame they're struggling. Concerns me.
  14. I'd buy a ton of 2 packs of LTS Foot. Just saying.
  15. I definitely wanted the MMPR Vinis, but I'm not huge on pre-orders these days. Guess I'll pre-order to try and make sure they go through.
  16. Those Bucks are just like the real life counterparts, not gonna sell. I see the Punk stuff is being phased out.
  17. It's not supposed to be a parody and never was. Fox tried to market it like that because they assumed that people wanted that from MacFarlane and Fox has never known how to market sci-fi, but instead he did a very serious Trek show that is better than any Trek modern show. The stuff in season 4 is as good of sci-fi, as well, has ever been produced anywhere, Trek or otherwise.
  18. If you like Star Trek, watch The Orville. It's the best Star Trek show to date. This is not a joke.
  19. This was the set I saw (and a couple other little mini sets I can't seem to find online) but it was just the train: https://www.amazon.com/Wizarding-World-Exclusive-Hogwarts-Accessories/dp/B09NLQHZHZ/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1UYOUXCEANSNS&keywords=Wizarding%2BWorld%2BHarry%2BPotter&qid=1668613383&s=toys-and-games&sprefix=wizarding%2Bworld%2Bharry%2Bpotter%2Ctoys-and-games%2C64&sr=1-4&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.fa474cd8-6dfc-4bad-a280-890f5a4e2f90&th=1 Anyway, the scale on this looked to be pretty spot on for Mates. To be fair, I didn't have one in my pocket at the time, but the scaling was much closer to MM than the actual figures included which look to be 3inches or so. You can see how some of these figures are too big for their intended spots, which means MM should scale nicely. The castle looks fun too: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SWKD5BL/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B08SWKD5BL&pd_rd_w=zKew1&content-id=amzn1.sym.88097cb9-5064-44ef-891b-abfacbc1c44b&pf_rd_p=88097cb9-5064-44ef-891b-abfacbc1c44b&pf_rd_r=9FCJ0XKDY969YT28YNWJ&pd_rd_wg=xC3iQ&pd_rd_r=9f985519-872c-4d99-b5aa-2b3a9bd612b9&s=toys-and-games&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWw
  20. I just recently saw some Harry Potter mini figures in the girls doll section. Not sure of what exactly their branding is, but they had a train playset and a few other things. They looked to be pretty perfect minimates scale. Not the train itself but the interior bits. MIGHT be of some use to someone.
