  1. Gordon Ramsey minimate looks Great! I would like to see a Bobby Flay minimate as well. Can you share what parts you used for Gordon.
  2. I picked up all four sets at my local Toys R Us store on September 3rd. They were hard to find because they were on the side of an endcap along with the remaining sets of last years monsters (Dracula & the Monster). I was upset at first because I only saw the set without any actual monsters in it. I then kept searching and found the other three sets. I have openned them all as I like to display my minimates. I can't wait until I can decorate for Halloween at my office because these will be the focal point this year. The Mummy is the coolest one of the minimate monsters. I have to say that I am not sure when my Toys R Us got this year's assortment but I am glad I got them. I almost missed them last year (at least the Black & White versions). I am going to try to get a second Mummy as I want to make a custom I have been thinking about that I can use his head and hands for. Happy Hunting to those that have not found the new Monsters yet.
  3. Hello, I am sorry got busy with work and church and family functions. I have Guinan just about finished, had major issues with her. I had to scrap the body I was working on and do over. Then the toughest part was her bizarre hats. I can't get the blasted hat to dry as it remains very tacky to the touch and I am just not sure I can put her in the display without getting her coloring on my other mates. I have a TOS Scotty in his dress uniform (with the kilt) but I am nto sure about getting the gold detail on his chest as they are so small and I am not sure I can paint that little. I am also working on an Orion Female officer from the TOS era but I wanted her in command gold so I am not sure how to alter the chest without damaging the insignia. I will have her done likely before I display the other two. Also, My Stratosphere phone, which is what I used to take my nicer looking pictures, suffered a malfuction in which somehow the screen got cracked and I am not sure how it happened when it was not hit against anything. Anyway, Verizon won't replace it and it is not even 4 months old, so I am on the phone I was using before my upgrade. Now I am stuck with 28 month old 3G phone and I was on a 4G LTE phone until the malfunction. Anyway, Verizon is on my last nerve and come the end of my contract I will be switching to US Cellular. But I hope to have images of Guinan and TOS Scotty in his dress uniform up to share very soon. Hope you are all doing great. Captain Paco
  4. I would recommend the Elite Heroes Undersea Rescue for parts to make a custom Navy Seal Frogman. I would think you would have almost all you need in that set. I have never made anything other than mostly Star Trek customs so I am merely suggesting what I would look for to us if I was to make a navy diver. Hope that helps.
  5. I found these Character Building micro-figures at my local Target store yestereday. There were only about 10 or so packets in the box so I picked up four of them. Series 1 of these Character Building Micro-figures has 12 figures in it. There are common, uncommon and rare figures in the series. The Common figures are Astronaut in white, Racecar Driver, Special Ops Commando, Ninja in black, Knight with red breast plate & shield. The Uncommon figures are the Army Soldier (Caucasian) and the Zombie. The Rare figures are the Knight with black breast plate & shield, the Ninja in red, Astronaut in orange, Construction Worker and Army Soldier (African-American). So of the four packets I purchased, I got one Ninja in black and three Construction Workers. I guess the Construction worker is so rare that they are all still in the box? Just thought I would share. I wish my Target had the Doctor Who micro-figure packets as that would be more fun to collect.
  6. Well, I am having a terrible time getting my Guinan body to hold the paint. There are so many layers of paint on it now I am afraid it will not turn out how I was hoping. If anyone has any advice for removing Testor's paint from minimat body and accessories (skirt), I would appreciate any advice on fixing my issue. I did have a good time this week in making a Montgomery Scott from the original series in dress uniform (with the kilt). I just have to add the insignia on his chest and the cloth over his shoulder then he will be finished. I hope to have him photographed soon and on display here on my post. Just wanted to share where I was at this point in my customizing.
  7. General Zod looks Fantastic and I love the 10th Doctor in the 3D Glasses. I wish my customs could look as good as yours. I have my Custom Riker, Crusher, Data, & O'Brien are all on display at my office. I appreciate you commissioning the decals for me. I am really enjoying them on display. Great Job and I am glad you share them with us.
  8. And Finally Here is Seven of Nine I opted to make her in her blue outfit because I have enough silver colored custom minimates. I painted a Khan hairpiece yellow for her hair and then I used silver for the occular implant and for her assimilation tubes. I am very happy with her and so I am now waiting for a Cmdr Sisko body from BannersID so I can try to make either Tuvok or Kim then I think I will be done with Voyager customs for a while. I am still working on Guinan and then hope to make a Doctor Bashir once I get another Cpt Sisko body. I hope you like Seven and thank you for allowing me to share my Love of Star Trek Minimates with you all.
  9. I can now share my Major Kira Nerys from DS9. I do have her earring painted on her ear but you can't see it from this angle. I used a male hair piece because of the type of cut she had on the show, none of the female ones I have worked for it. I hope it looks good, I like it and she is now on display with my other Star Trek Minimates. I still need to get a good picture of Seven of Nine and I will have her on here soon. Guinan is still a work in progress but I am getting closer to having her done.
  10. I am still working on a Guinan Mate. I have one last touch on my Major Kira Nerys mate then she will be done. I even made a Seven of Nine mate but have to touch up her left eye details. I will be trying to post images of Kira and Seven very soon. Guinan is on hold because her paint is not wanting to cooperate. Hope you all are enjoying my trek mates. I am even making a spoof of Star Trek as Ghostbusters and then have a few Marvel Trek mates that I will be posting soon as well. Until then, Have a good day.
  11. Okay, I have not finished my Kira Nerys, yet but working on her. I am still trying to work on Guinan's hat for a mate. However, I wanted to share with y'all, my new Romulan customs. I still have my ambassador from ST6 but now I have three from the original series and two from TNG. Here are the original series versions. I took some artistic licensing. Individual shots Female Romulan Commander, Nevesa Male Romulan Commander, Keras Used my extra Sarek face since Mark Leonard portrayed both Sarek and the first Romulan Commander we see on Star Trek. Romulan Centurian May sometime down the road make the ugly gold helmet most Romulan Centurions wore on the series but for now he is okay without it. Here are my Next Generation Romulans. Here are the individual shots: Commander Sela (Tasha Yar's Daughter who is only 1/2 Romulan) Romulan Officer I finally took a picture of my custom Jadzia Dax without any other mates in the frame. I hope they look okay. Again I took some creative licensing as I like the look of the TOS Romulans without the black spots, so I left them solid silver. The TNG Romulans have a hint of a secondary color on them but I liked them pale so I did not darken the secondary color. I hope to get Kira done soon; as well as Guinan.
  12. We got a Picard in his duty uniform already. We did NOT get Picard in his captain's jacket yet. We must have been typing at the same time when I posted my last message. I like some of what you mentioned for sets if future waves. However, I would do a wave of TNG then a wave of DS9 then come back or do a wave of Voyager then comeback to TNG. This way you get all the collectors that focus on a specific show covered. I would even like to see a wave of Enterprise characters come out soon as well. Enterprise Wave could be: 1) Captain Archer & Hoshi 2) T'Pol & Trip Tucker 3) Mayweather & Reed 4) Phlox & Daniels 5) MACO Leader & MACO Officer 6) Environmental Suit Archer & Tucker 7) Environmental Suit T'Pol & Reed 8) Shran & Admiral Forrest
  13. Since Picard was already released you could do a set of 4 two-packs in the following arrangement: 1) Riker & Troi 2) Dr. Crusher & Worf 3) LaForge & Data 4) The Variant Set could be either Troi in a different costume with a Beardless Riker or Wesley Crusher & Lore, or they could do Picard in his Captain's Jacket with Dr. Crusher in her lab coat. (JMO: I feel the "Variant" set should be two different mates and not a repeat mate with a new one. My examples are Sarek with Dress Uniform Spock & with Spock's Brain Spock or Scotty with Dr. McCoy & Dress Uniform McCoy, or Admiral Kirk with Duty Uniform Scott & Dress Uniform Scott or Chekov with Sulu & Swashbuckling Sulu: I did not really want two Sareks, two Chekovs, two Scottys or two Admiral Kirks at the time. The Gul Dukat with the Sisko variants was nice because the head of Dukat has two faces on it so you can make two different Cardassians so I am okay with that one.) Then with Deep Space Nine you have two options, go with Commander Sisko or Captain Sisko. If you go with Capatin Sisko: 1) Jadzia Dax & Chief O'Brien 2) Worf & Kira 3) Quark & Dr. Bashir 4) The Variant Set could be Ezri Dax & Odo, or Garek & Leeta. Could do a box set then of Yates, Jake Sisko, Starfleet Officer Nog, Morn and Rom. An Exclusive two-pack could be Worf and Jadzia in their wedding attire. If you go with Commander Sisko: 1) Chief O'Brien & Kira 2) Dr. Bashir & Jadzia Dax 3) Jake Sisko & Nog 4) The Variant Set could be Kai Winn & Vedek Barial. Could do a box set of Mirror Universe costumed "Smiley" O'Brien, Commander Sisko, Regent Worf, Intendent Kira and Garek. Then if you go with Commander Sisko for the Deep Space Nine you can easily make Voyager mates: 1) Captain Janeway & Lt. Paris 2) Chakotay & B'Ellana 3) Kim & Neelix 4) The Variant Set could be the Tuvok & Kes Then a box set could be made for EMH (The Doctor), Seven of Nine, Maquis Chakotay, Vidiian & Kazon. Then there could be an exclusive set of the Borg Queen & the Borgified Seven of Nine or a Borg version of Janeway, B'Ellana or Tuvok. Then we would get charaters that have been overlooked and go with the three not TOS characters that have been made. While I made customs for TNG and a few for DS9 and Voyager, I would get the officially released mates as soon as they are available. I only hope that the interest will be there to keep the Star Trek Minimate Line Going once it is reborn!!!!!
  14. I had once made a Captain Sisko from the episode "Trials & Tribble-ations" and used the wrong rank on the sleeves. So I have corrected the figure and here he is. Then I had a little fun and took the O'Brien head of my TNG O'Brien and put it on Scotty's TOS body to make O'Brien from that same episode. However, I took the O'Brien head and put it back on my TNG O'Brien for the display to be complete. So this version of O'Brien only exists in photo form for now. Here are my three Voyager characters as the appear in my display on my office desk. I was asked by a friend to make a small collective for him. He gave me some parts and a couple of Borg mates and I tinkered with them for a small Borg Army of sorts. He told me I could borrow them if I wanted for pictures anytime I wanted. I hope to take him up on that and create a small scene of Picard upon a Borg ship. Also, I wanted a different look to the Klingon minimates, so I tinkered with them as well. I have replaced the hairpiece on my custom Riker figure. This one I feels give him more of the Jonathon Frakes look. I will be working on Kira from DS9 and will post more customs as I can. I do plan to keep make Trek mates as long as I can with what I can. I have ideas for an Edith Keeler, but having trouble with the hair and hat. I am even trying to think of what to use to make Captain Archer and T'Pol as well as Trip. I would also like to make a Seven of Nine but her hair would be the hard part for me since I can't sculpt for the life of me.
  15. I finally had a chance to make a Jadzia Dax minimate. In the above image, Dax is with my Custom DS9 O'Brien mate and the Standard issue Captain Sisko mate. I hope she looks okay to all of you, I am happy with her. I am hoping to start work on Keiko O'Brien, Guinan and Major Kira (not sure how to do the nose ridges since Minimates don't have noses.) I will post more as soon as I can.
  16. I redid my Tom Paris Custom; Here is the new version. Here is my Romulan Ambassador to look more like I wanted him to. He is a representation from "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country". As promised individual images of my TNG customs. Yar Data (still a little blurry) LaForge Crusher DS9 O'Brien & TNG O'Brien Voyager Chakotay I will post more when I get back from my vacation if I get a chance to finish them one day at the end of my time off. Thank you.
  17. Bilbofett, Thank you for the idea for a visor. I tried to sculpt one but it did not work so I decided to paint it on. I will look to see if I can get a Cyclops and try to modify my LaForge. To ALL: I will be posting a new version of my Lt. Tom Paris minimate some time after 9 July 2012. I hope to have my Lt. Cmdr. Jadzia Dax done by then. I am even hoping to have my custom Number 1 from "The Cage" done by then if I can find the right looking hair. I am enjoying my customizing and I hope all of you are enjoying looking at my collection. One day I hope to have a picture of all my TOS mates (standard and custom). I am glad you all have allowed me to share with you here.
  18. Thank you very much, I am touched by that comment. If I had the parts to make a second set I would consider selling it. Maybe one day I might be able to find the parts to make a second set. I am trying very had to find premade pieces to make an Edith Keeler but no luck and I suck at sculpting.
  19. Here is an update: I finished my LaForge. I am not 100% happy because the paint did not cooperate. I did my best and I am happy to share him but I wish I could have done a lot better. Here is a shot of just the three women from TNG. Here is the whole crew of my custom TNG Characters except Worf and Captain Picard. Not sure I will ever make Worf but I may fork up the money and have Luke314pi make him for me (not sure). Here is my three custom Voyager Minimates. I tried to tattoo Chakotay and it works for me but not exactly like it should be. Will try to post individual shots of the crew members as I can. Thank you for allowing me to share.
  20. City on the Edge of Forever Custom Minimates: Spock redone with the beanie from the Vigilante Spidey. I am disappointed with my WIP of Lt Cmdr Geordie LaForge from ST:TNG. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt142/CaptainPaco/Custom Next Generation Minimates/SDC10749.jpg (This image was on my Photobucket account and no longer have access to it but will leave the description here since others have referenced it.) The gold paint I used was Testors Gold enamel and it is not drying and it wont let me detail it like I have done in the past on other things I have used it on. I was going to sculpt the visor but it was too much of a pain so I decide to paint it on but it is also a major pain. Sorry image is blurry, my camera sucks. Thank you for letting me share. I will have more down the road to share.
  21. Maybe we will get the long lost shuttlecraft if the Enterprise sells. I like the idea of the labels coming with the figures in the 2-pack arrangement because it will get collectors to purchase the minimates and the vehicles. I also like the idea to release a vehicle that ties in with the movie in some format because it will help sales. Plus they could do a Borg Cube/Borg Sphere with the Borg Queen. Yes, we, the loyal collectors, will likely see several minimates re-released. The point was presented that there are still variations we have not seen. I have worked on making customs of Kirk and Spock from "The City on the Edge of Forever". But there are lots that could be done. I am for it if we can get the line reborn.
  22. I am liking your suggestion. They could make it a sister ship the Enterprise and the Commodore Decker would give us a different insigna on the chest of the uniform. I would only purchase one of the variant ship. I would purchase two of the Enterprise, one of the Constellation (if made) and one of the Mirror Enterprise (if made). I would purchase 2 Enterprise-D ships if they were made and maybe they could make Picard in his captain's jacket instead of the standard re-release of the figure they made. I would even like to see if they are successful, Voyager and the Defiant and even NX-01 Enterprise. Now I really hope they are successful.
  23. From getting the image and zooming in, I find the Kirk seems to be just a re-release of the Kirk from the Star Trek Wave 1 original release of the 2" size. I don't care because I will be getting the Enterprise no matter what. Hope this helps.
  24. Looks like a nice set, I would like to get this set as well as the second set that needs to be made to complete the team. I think the characters are captured well in the set and hope that one day I could get a set. At the least Gaurdian. I have an interest in the superheroes that use a national theme to their costumes. Thank you for sharing the images of the set.
  25. Here is Captain Picard in the uniform style he was seen wearing in "Star Trek First Contact" & "Star Trek Insurrection". I simply took Picard's head and hands from his minimate and swapped them for Captain Sisko's. With him in this picture is Counsellor Deanna Troi from Star Trek The Next Generation. I attempted to print my own TNG decals and practiced with paper. I liked what I had but it did not work for anyone else I tried to make. I sharpied the arms and the torso other than where the chest decal went. I used hair from my extra Mirror Moreau and I forget the head I used. I think she looks okay, but that is JMO. Then I had Luke314pi make me a face decal for Commander Riker and I used a Picard body to make the character. Next I made Dr. Beverly Crusher. I used a chest and face decal again made by Luke314pi. I used a GB blue lab coad and arms because she was seen alot in that lab coat. I took some extra trek bodies I had and make Tasha Yar and Data. They each have chest decals make for me by Luke314pi. Data's face is also a decal from Luke. I am not sure whose's hair Data has but Yar's is from a BSG Starbuck I got in a lot of parts. I think the head for Yar is also Starbuck's but can't recall. I am okay with these as I already have them on display in my office and they look nice in the case. I now have a TNG O'Brien because he was on both TNG and DS9 and he was my favorite character so I wanted him in both versions. Again all the chest decals for Yar, Crusher, Data and O'Brien were from Luke314pi as were the face decals for Crusher, Riker, Data and O'Brien. I think I have shared all the customs I have for now. I am going to be working to finish LaForge this week and then will update later when him in the crew shot. I will continue as I can working on customs for Star Trek. I am trying to see about making Enterprise Crew member but at a loss for Tucker, Archer and T'Pol as well I would like to make a Jadzia Dax, I think I can pull her off. I hope you like all I have done so far.
