  1. Well, it's official. The Shuttle is 'off the schedule', per this week's QandA. Looks like we have some complaining to do!
  2. From today's Ask AA: DSTChuck: I think the chances of seeing TNG Minimates is very slim. We do not have any Trek Minimates planned right now - not even Kirk or Spock. Sorry! Does this mean the Shuttles cancelled? Anyone hear anything about this?
  3. The sad thing is, I could have named these without Wookieepedia... when I was 8...
  4. Could someone please clarify: Is the box-set available at TRU? Thanks, --MaNa
  5. I also emailed TRU about Star Trek 'mates, and I got almost the same message as Groundhog. I got a different person replying though, so it must be cut and paste. --MaNa
  6. Just do a Google Trends search of "Star Trek" and filter to "last 30 days" to see how true that is. --MaNa
  7. The joke was that Indiana Jones has the same licensing restrictions as Star Wars, and when everyone initially heard that Lucasfilm was working with DST, that was the OTHER most requested product. --MaNa Gotta remember though that the Indiana Jones 3&3/4 toys did not do so well. Perhaps DST saw that coming... The question is Would Indiana Jones minimates blow the market out of the water? Probably. But it depends on where DST focuses. Crystal Skull focus=No (though that does not mean that Crystal Skull should not be made. I want a Crystal Skeleton.). Raiders/Last Crusade focus=yes. Temple of Doom being first made=Meh. Doubt it. Though maybe to keep the line alive it would be bought. Or for the sake of a burning Mini-Heart. I think that if DST plays it smart with plenty of accessories (Heart, Ark, Grail, Skull (and Skeleton with Throne), Sankara Stones, whip, fertility idol, giant boulder, monkey, swords, gun to kill that one guy in that fight scene, antidote, snakes (hell yeah), Short Round (yes just make him an accessory), Zepplin, rocket launcher, Fridge for nuking, Grail Diary, Staff headpiece, big damn ants and Maybe even a motorcycle) The ultimate accessory list. Now if any minimates, let's say they were based off of The Happening, but came with all of those accessories, would you get them? But back to Indy, if they play it smart, set it off with a stellar Raiders set, then Indiana Jones would almost definately be a total success. Is it a licensing issue? I'd imagine Hasbro's license is about up... --MaNa
  8. The joke was that Indiana Jones has the same licensing restrictions as Star Wars, and when everyone initially heard that Lucasfilm was working with DST, that was the OTHER most requested product. --MaNa
  9. I would definitely buy any and all Watchmen 'Mates, comic or movie. I thought we'd had this discussion before, though. Who's the guy who started the thread? --MaNa
  10. I just got my Wave 5 in and I noticed that neither Sisko has those gold dots for rank insignia on the collar piece. On the other hand, the variant one has a weird smudge on his shoulder, near the collar that looks like the machine printed it in the wrong place. Anyone else have this? --MaNa
  11. Also- does anyone know why they haven't picked up the Halo license yet? Besides figures, many of which would be repaints, they could have a whole line of vehicles! On the issue of certain mates not selling well (I'm mostly referring to Serenity), couldn't DST do some kind of market test, with maybe one two-pack of popular characters, and judge the sales from there? If they think Serenity mates wouldn't sell well, they've never met Whedon fans...
  12. I'm really interested in Firefly/Serenity (some legal issue or another), Dark Knight and Watchmen (some poor marketing plan or another) and the A-Team (have they even thought about this?) Oh, and making sure Star Trek lives on for a very long time. --MaNa
