TM2 Dinobot Posted November 2, 2008 Share Posted November 2, 2008 So I have a confession to make. I didn't like 7" figures. They were out of scale with my SMC stuff, and just never appealed to me. Plus it seems 6" is mass releaced and 7" is LCS, and my LCS doesn't stock toys. However, I've been coming around lately. It started with the NECA Tomb Raider (awful. simply awful) and moved to the DCD Wonder Woman figures (still can't get them all) and Hellboy. Then I was in a new LCS a while back, and for the first time say DST's BSG figures in person. I saw their Stargate figures, and their Serenity figures. Not a fan. Definitely not a trek fan. However, these were new. Unique. The Cylon almost made me pee my pants he was so awesome. So I went home and researched them. I found a review on Michael Crawford and was floored. These things are amazing. So I want to go get a Cylon now (I want a Valley of Darkness one, but $50 is a bit much) and I was just wondering if any one here has had any experience with these figures? When they were first released, I thought they were crazy ugly and wanted to quit the line. After a while I had to ask myself how much more BSG merch will there be and continued to get the rest. Series two is much nicer than series 1. I found some figures at Enchanted Toy Chest for about $5 each. I'm not sure if they're MOSC (I think they are though) nor how their shipping is, but I've delt with them on ebay before and they're okay. Unfortunately they don't have any Cylons at that price. Dang. Pickle, any chance of pics of your figures with some other figs? Just to see how they play and what their range of motion is? Pretty please? DSTChuck: They should all be listed on our main site www.diamondselecttoys.com with the exception of promo figures. I know there are some great Minimate sites on the web that have very complete checklist you can use. Did MMMV just get a plug A lot of questions and answers. No Plastic Battlestar. Does not seem strange at all. If they were gonna do it, it would have been done in place of the Statue. Sounds like the fans want the final five for figures. Always with the Skin Jobs the fans with the loudest voices are. Looks like there is some serious thought in releasing a Baltar for wave five (if it happens) which will bring me back to buying these things. SDCC BSG exclusive might be a re-release of the NYCC Stealth Cylon (from my understanding). Hopefully they keep the same package, would suck for those who have to buy two of the same figure because of a package variation. Or it might mean stealth Razor Cylon. Hopefully if SDCC does not show us new figures, they will show the accessories for wave four. Would be nice to see something new. Finally, no news on the Starbuck Bust? Looks like the AUTOGRAPHED HOT DOG figure will have the autograph under the plastic bubble like the autographed chief figure. Makes it an official package variation.
