To give you some idea of scale the top of a Lego figures head comes to about the shoulder of a minimate. T.

On the chairs then -- would you think a sitting minimate wouldn't look like a 3 year old sitting in a chair?
maxcarnage
On the chairs then -- would you think a sitting minimate wouldn't look like a 3 year old sitting in a chair? No a minimate would look like a 30 year old sitting in a 3 year's chair. if you are looking for a scale replica of the transporter I would try this: http://www.millionaireplayboy.com/toys/tosmm1.php it is cool, mind you not as cool as the one you found, but lego chair and minimates do not mix. I tried to convert the land-speeder from star wars to minimates and ended up taking out the chair.
gman
I'll take your word it. That's why I asked here. I just wanted something Lego-like that would look cool with my C3 minimates and at the office. Now I'll have to expirement with it.
maxcarnage
it is not "lego-like" but that display stand look keen in the office. while I don't have one set up I have heard from others that their grabs a lot of attention.
captain_cbecker
Those Legos are very nice sets - but the Minimates just won't work on that scale - Lego Mini-figures are much smaller. That being said, if you could blow up the scale, which is usually easier with Lego than trying to go smaller, then you may have something. On another note - try that transporter diorama from millionaire playboy. I knocked one up using the color copier at work and a CD and it came out great. One hint - when making the base, try using cardstock so the ring and hub of the cd doesn't show through or make an impression when you glue it down
cdubya
I would suggest getting the ERTL/AMT "Enterprise Command Bridge" model. It has nearly the perfect scale for minimates (in fact it comes with three 2" scale figures of Kirk, Spock, and Sulu). Mine is currently in the "being built stage" or I'd try to post some pic.s. I do believe that someone posted a pic of this model over at Minimate Headquarters (along with the Playmates' Galileo Shuttle, which also happens to look very nice with MMs too!). You can probably find one on ebay for around $20-30.
Cappy
cdubya, I've been oh so patiently waiting for your bridge pictures. Could you, would you please post a picture of even the unfinished set? A little teaser, with Kirk in his chair or some such? I'd really like to see how 'Mate proportions work on that scale bridge. winkerbean
as far as lego chairs go this is the perfect one
Cappy
Funky, is that a minifig chair or something from Technics? Looks like a cockpit seat of some sort. Not being the Lego expert, I guess I'm asking what sorts of sets I might find that in... And gman, thanks for posting those links. Those are some amazing sets. Whilst they wouldn't fit MiniMates, they certainly give one lots of ideas -- an excellent starting point.
