Zak Katz
Hey, I thought of a cool idea that involves me cutting a slip cover mask. What is the best way to cut without leaving ridges or ruining the piece? Thanks!
Netglow
Small exacto cuts?
hellpop
Carefully. But seriously... since I know you hate when I do that ... it all depends on your hand. I basically take an XO and try to cut slowly. It's easy in that the mask plastic is soft, but it's very hard to keep straight. You might try to put it on a head and use that to keep the mask steady, rather then your hands. I'm sure the smarter people on here have better tips for you, but that's all I've got.
bigvis497
Heat it in water so the plastic is pliable, cut with a NEW xacto blade. Easy as pie. Also, if you're cutting eye holes too, put the mask over a head you don't need so you have a cutting surface. It's good to have extra "test" minimates you don't care about lying around for situations like this, painting, etc.
