Formatting a movie to work on a smart phone

Anyone have any tips for formating a movie to fit and run well on a smart phone? I have a Samsung Infuse 4G and I have been experimenting with formatting movies to run on it. It would be nice to let my 7 month old son watch some of his flicks on the phone in situations where it would appease him.

I don't want this to turn into a pirating how-to, but I am a real novice when it comes to movie rips and codecs involved. Thanks!

Well that's what I do for my iPhone:

Download mtorent

Got to a torrent site eg pick torrent and download a movie

Then download divxplayer

Download realplayersp

Open realplayersp and then copy your downloaded movie to your realplayersp videos section.

Wait as much time as the program tells you

Then, when it's over select the send to folder. It has some models of smartphones.

If your phone is on the list, enjoy!

If not I don't know another way ;)

I started using Magic Dvd Ripper on my X-Men animated series dvds. pretty painless and you get 5 free trials. What is cool is that it's opening the software 5 times so I opened it and left it open forever and burned a bunch of movies for my ipad. give it a shot.

if you have a mac i'm sure there's even easier options but i'm a pc guy.
