One thing I've noticed about this line (and Secret Wars) is the shoddy paint apps. I have seen at least 10 Captain America figures with blue all over the face and/or googly eyes. For an $8+ 3.75" figure, that is inexcusable...

That Vigilante is the first figure I've seen at retail from that wave!

I got excited when I found a Vigilante on the pegs tonight, but alas...no Hawkgirl. Missed it by that much!

I've read many of Slayer's interviews and heard plenty of their music. I'm familiar. Even though they aren't satanists, they have made a pretty good living using the imagery. I really love this Goth Girl Minimate. I'm with North Raider. We should be getting more of these limited edition 'Mates in the future. I think the 'Mate got old Barry more of an audience than the first book of the series!

I can't believe that I'll be the first to say it, but... Kang. But I hope TTF is right and we get some more Fantastic Four characters. Preferably new villains like Ronan, Blastaar, Annihilus and Puppet Master...

I had no idea that Friday the 13th part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan was a comedy! Did (those of us 30 & up) we really dress like that? ...and I've tried watching A Superhero Movie twice now and fallen asleep on it both times!

If I'm not mistaken, Pickle, a couple of those 2003 Mattel Batman figures (like Joker, Robin and Nightwing) were repainted for the short-lived DC Superheroes line that unofficially started DCUC...

Let's dust this bad boy off! The new AFI record, Crash Love, is awesome. I've listened to it a hundred times if I've listened to it once! It's quite different from their other stuff and very 80's influenced. Has anyone heard Ace Frehley's new record, Anomaly or Kiss' new record, Sonic Boom? I'm curious to hear opinions on how they turned out...

I vote no on DCUC vehicles. Which line is better? Ignoring the nostalgia of one of the coolest toy lines of my youth, I don't recall searching in vain at every store in town for any Super Powers figure as a kid. If I wanted a certain character and mom agreed to buy it, I could easily go get it. For that reason alone, Super Powers wins. I'm about done with DCUC and their pitiful distribution...

I think I like Doom without the "cap" and the old-school Secret Wars tampo design showing. I know that's not technically a "powerhouse" chest, but I think that they should reserve their "caps" for the larger characters...

Is that picture of Dr. Doom in the AA article of the actual Secret Wars figure as it comes packaged, or is that outfit hidden under something else? MMDB doesn't have pics yet...

I'm really new to statues except for a Diamond Premier Collection She-Hulk (in F4 costume- sweet) I won from a website drawing and a few Star Wars mini busts (Vader, Mynock Hunt Chewie and Plo Koon). The Premium Format Darth Talon has got me ready to drop $300 though... If you have 'em handy, how about some pics fellas?

I was looking at AFX's site and the wave 31 description includes " the long-time X-Men Angel & Multiple Man two-pack plus the variant set featuring the Silver Age Angel! ". That can't be right. Right? Somebody please tell me that's a mistake and you don't have to find a variant pack to complete your Silver Age X-Men team...

I knew they were statues, but I didn't realize that they were that big! You guys have sold me. I'm going to take the plunge and preorder Darth Talon. I will rationalize it by saying it is an early income tax return splurge! If I love mine as much as you love yours, I think I may have to start selling off all my puny little articulated toys to finance a new obsession! ...and since the PFs aren't really 1/6th scale, maybe we should start a thread for them since we've derailed this one pretty badly thanks to me!
