  1. This is the all new haul thread where you can come and tell everyone about any luck that you may have encountered in the retail jungles of the world. I personally am happy for people that find things that they have often dreamed about and now there is a place to come to share your happiness with everyone. Please remember that we are all adults and should conduct ourselves as such.

I went to my LCS this week to pick up the new Avengers and zombie mates but there were no zombies to be had although the proprietor of the shop did in fact save the Armored Thor for me which was awesome. As I was checking out I noticed behind the counter the ever elusive Powerman and Iron Fist 2 pack and Cable and Bishop 2 Pack. I asked how much and could barely contain my excitement when he said $6.99 each. Not bad for a Wednesday.

  2. kool?

very cool... opie and anthony rock my socks daily on XM satellite radio

I love O&A I wish they would come to the south but hell if I didn't live here I wouldn't either. I have Jimmy's book on mp3 and he reads it. It is great.

yeah Bristow, VA wasnt close to me at all( 10 hour drive one way) but... after seeing Jimmy in May and Louis CK in July.. we had to make the trek to VA to see the tour was well worth it.. and cant wait for the boys to come back from vacation next week.. as well allegedy next year the Virus tour will be coming somewhere in the south...

That would be awesome but I will believe it when I see it. Or hear it I guess?

  3. I am in the processes of freezing mine now. It will most likely be the last picture I take because I have to freeze it over night.

My frozen picture will be my last one as well. I have two other pictures to take tonight, and then into the water he goes.

I couldn't take that one last simply because of the ammount of time required to freeze him.

I know mine took over 2 days to freeze

  4. He's tougher than Wolverine. More resourceful than MacGyver. Trained in the deadly arts by Mr.Miyagi himself. Smarter than Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Hank Pym, Bruce Wayne, Lex Luthor, Gorilla Grodd, and Stephen Hawking........ COMBINED!!!!!!

I present my partner in crime (hopefully not actual crime, but hey whatever it takes to win right) Matthew Nails.

  5. Found this on the main page at Toy News International

This year’s San Diego Comic Con will be host to a groundbreaking and thrilling new event entitled “The Hunt: A Minimate Adventure.” This scavenger hunt will push teams of fans to their creative limits in the search for the ultimate Minimate Adventurer - with the grand prize winners receiving fantastic prizes, including a year’s supply of Minimates from Diamond Select Toys & Collectibles, LLC and Art Asylum Inc!

Beginning Wednesday, July 25th and continuing through Saturday, July 28th, up to 500 teams will be tasked with completing a series of objectives by taking digital photographs of their “Hunt” Minimate with a variety of convention-themed objects, places and people. The full list will be kept secret until “The Hunt” begins.

Prizes for this unique competition include digital cameras, iPod Shuffles, portable DVD players, extremely rare promotional Minimates, $200 and $100 gift cards and more, with the Grand Prize including a full year’s worth of Minimate releases from Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum to be awarded over the 12 months following the convention. Full prize details as well as eligibility requirements can be found at www.diamondselecttoys.com/thehunt/ along with a full list of rules.

Pre-registration for this kick-off event is now underway with participation limited to 500 teams. Each team will receive an informational packet containing the final list of objectives and the associated point values, a special edition Minimate created only for “The Hunt” and matching T-Shirts for each team to wear during the contest. “The Hunt” will conclude at 7:00 pm PST on Saturday, July 28th with the winning teams being announced the following day at a special awards event. Full details will be available at the DST booth during the convention.

Anyone interested in forming a team?

  6. Yep, civilians will be easy to make through part-swapping after the next several waves hit.

What I would like to see, though, is a series of Minimate historical figures. Imagine Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Churchill, Ghengis Khan, Sigmund Freud, Picasso, etc. Even modern political figures would be cool. They would be great for when our superheroes go on time traveling adventures, and AA wouldn't have to pay any license fees. And you could part-swap them into civilians, too.

This is a great idea. We could even get a Governor Swartzenegger (sp?)
